Had wife take her auto in for oil change service and they told her she needed hundreds of dollars additional which she had done and paid for. This was years ago. They have not changed. The worst in Morgan Hill. People were nice just inept or crooks. Watch out!!

Starting with a phone inquiry, their response was friendly and professional. Yes, they are busy, but they are very accommodating to my schedule too. Before I took my car in, I had an idea what my engine service light means through my car code scanner. But I'm not a mechanic and I don't know how accurate my scanner is and how much I can trust it. I took the car to George. His son Joe took care of me. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. He called me later when they had time to check my car out and told me the problem my car is having which is totally in-line with the scanner. (They did not know I had scanned the code already). They found a leak in a hose that would explain the failure code. They recommended to replace it and see if the code would go away, and to make sure no other problems were hidden behind that. They did not find additional problem. So, they only charged me for replacing the hose and a dirty air filter. The conclusion is: they know what they are doing and they did not try to sell me something that I don't need. They are honest, experienced, and knowledgeable. I believe this is a family business. Their passions and experience about auto repair is clearly evidenced. Yes, they charge 3% credit card fee. So, if you want to save a little, bring cash. To me, I am super happy that I found a auto shop for life !

Only then was I told that the repair hadn't been completed and I would need to come back the following week. I do not have the ability to return due to my travel schedule, which I clearly communicated from the start. The issue is not that the work wasn't done--it's that I was led to believe it would be. Had they been upfront about their capacity, I would have gone elsewhere to avoid being put in this stressful situation right before a long drive. Extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and reliability. I would not return based on this experience.

I'll admit, I'm no car buff or mechanic but one thing I know is if I bring a car with no sensor lights on, I expect to pick it up the same way. Well after I picked it up, suddenly my TPMS, check engine and two other lights would come on with starting the car. Funny enough, when I picked it up, this place told me my car checked out fine. So of course, I bring it back (took about 2 trips for this) and the 2nd visit they tell me I had to change a few items which at that point was going to be another $1K ($800 and $170) which all this was told by phone. I told them no way in hell and seeing as I've already given them $1300 between this car and another (for maintenance) telling me this seemed very much like a sketchy racket just to up sell people. So I picked up my car an hour after this conversation at which I told them not to do anything else so I can get a 2nd opinion elsewhere. Sure enough, the sensor lights were off. It magically fixes itself just because I complained and wasn't willing to get upsold. There it is folks. Maybe try to have someone with you that knows more about cars if you want to bring it to this shop.

Plus, she is a veteran and they offered her a discount. Isn't that great? We will be back for certain.

I needed to get a new catalytic converter put on my pick up truck as well as new tail pipes since my old ones were getting holes and becoming corroded. I looked on yelp, and saw positive reviews for King Muffler so I decided to give it a try. I had a day off from work so I called the shop and spoke with Mike, who is the owner and one-man-operator at the shop. I don't know a lot about things automotive, but I knew I wanted new Flow Masters (I already had old ones on the pickup), but I was also thinking of having other stuff installed. Mike was very patient and forthcoming with information and explained what I needed in terms of what I was looking for (better gas mileage). Part of what impressed me was that he could have sold me stuff I didn't need to make a few extra bucks, but he didn't. He was very honest in telling me what was worth the money and what was not. He took my vehicle in the same day, and performed the work on my pickup (in spite of having other jobs to do that day). He did a fantastic job and corrected a problem regarding the tail pipe configuration that was done on my pick up prior to me owning it. To summarize, his prices were reasonable, he was honest, friendly and trustworthy, and his work is excellent. In conversation with Mike, I learned he has been doing muffler work for a total of 31 years. I would definitely go back to King Muffler. read more

My first post on yelp is about this place, I've been looking alot at yelp to see reviews to get my car worked on its a bmw e30 1987, stumbled on this place because its down the street from my house. Talked to Mike the owner on the phone the day before I went in, I went in met Mike probably the one of the coolest dudes, been in the buisness for 32 years....he told me what he was going to do( a straight piping ) and did it in the time he said he was going to do it, honestly if you need anything muffler, or exhaust related you need to check him out first! and lastly his price beat the other places I called by about 200 dollars, Im defiently going to make a trip back there. read more

Awesome job, again. I originally came here looking for help with a tough custom exhaust job. I was building out a classic mustang with a lot of modifications. The exhaust had to almost spaghetti noodle past a few components. Mike got it installed and looking better than I expected. The price was very fair as well. I called Sammy at Mikado and was able to arrange a repair on the same day as they had opening. Once I got to Mikado, the repair took only about 30 minutes and the rpm & speedometer needles were working properly afterward. I do not think the dealer or other shops in the area repair Lexus instrument cluster, and I am glad I was able to drive in and get this repaired without having to ship the instrument cluster out somewhere far for repair. Will come back to Mikado if I run into any electrical issues with my vehicle.

Brought my 2013 Lexus GS 350 in for a coolant leak and paid about $180 in diagnostic fees. They…read moretold me I needed a full radiator, thermostat, and hoses replaced -- quoted around $1,800. Their own paperwork admitted the cooling system only lost 1 psi in 15 minutes and that they couldn't actually find a leak. I got a second opinion at a dealership. The real problem was just the radiator cap -- the worn cap couldn't hold pressure, so the coolant was boiling over and escaping. About $100 to replace, and the car has run perfectly ever since. The cap was even listed on their own quote (a $26 part), but instead of trying the cheap fix first, they pushed a $1,500 radiator job. Either they couldn't diagnose a basic cooling issue or they were counting on me not getting a second opinion. Get your quote checked elsewhere before paying these guys.
