I've only been to this Soopers a handful of times. It's a decent store, though it isn't always stocked as well as others. That said, the produce--both fruits and vegetables--has been fresh each time. Physically went into the pharmacy to refill my prescription that I need to take 1 twice a day or I'll have seizures and was told they needed to place an order and to come back the next day at 10am for me to pick up... when the next day came, I usually receive a text message saying it's ready and I never received one. So I called to ask and make sure that my medication was ready for pick up and they hadn't even placed the order at all! Not even a sorry for not placing the order! Went to this Kings Soopers late one evening I believe a Sunday night after picking up my mother in law from the airport. My mother in law was hungry as she just flew in from Mexico and with in being 10:50 pm King Soopers seemed like the best option for food. My husband and mother in law walked up to the door where there was a security guard that told them they could not enter because the store was closing shortly! My husband asked him if they could just grab something quickly as they already knew what they were shopping for. He still refused to let them in. How rude! This would never happen at the King Soopers we frequent in our neighborhood! You can walk in anytime before 11pm but they will usually remind you it's near closing time which is expected. For one thing why is the security guard in charge of the hours King Soopers keeps! All King Soopers have the same policies, same hours. Avoid this store as it's a risk you may not get in! read more

The cashiers are always nice and friendly, but that's the only positive here. They frequently run out of carts. the deli staff are champions ignorers, they'll look you in the eyes then continue to ignore you. They're frequently out of stock of various items in almost every department. There is a 1st Bank BRANCH and ATM located inside this King Sooners. It's awkwardly built in the middle of the deli, and fruit department, making it harder for both parties to navigate between the narrow path. Long lines of people who want to badly write their checks, deposit money etc., and those who want to pass these eager customers to shop the essential meat and groceries. Super inconvenient and awkward to constantly say "excuse me, I'm trying to pass," otherwise, the service was wonderful and pleasant to deal with. Parking was not a nightmare, even at the peak of busy hours. I did enjoy the nice young lady at the customer service desk, because she's the one who escorted me to the branch of 1st Bank anyhow. This location is not modernized and the lights are dim and very triggering to my anxiety and makes me feel dizzy. claustrophobic, it feels narrow and super crowded. After 30 minutes I was referred to a manager about exchanging coffee I bought for another brand, when he said it's up to his "discretion" and he would not help me. He was so incredibly rude!!! When I politely asked if another King Sooper store might help me, he started yelling in my face to go away!!! I am beyond incredulous over this. This is an amazing King Soopers store. I have been shopping here for four years now, and overall have never experienced any issues. Many of the negative reviews are giving the appearance people do not understand how the business world works and what the employees and staff have to go through on a daily basis. Every time I go to this King Soopers at Mississippi and Chambers in Aurora, Colorado, the employees are kind, helpful and efficient. And all the products I need are there, including organic and personal products. I can tell you in life the way you treat others is often how you will get treated back, so more than likely if you are complaining and not taking into consideration everything overall, and the current situations around you, this is why your perceptions are so negatively biased. I do not like shopping at Wal-Mart, and even though this King Soopers is a little distance farther than Wal-Mart, I will ALWAYS shop at King Soopers. In Canon City, Colorado (my hometown), there is a City Market, another Kroger brand, and I always go there when I visit my mother. I love this store and will continue to go back! its always busy no matter what time of day or night. I would love to see them remodel this location, as it seems behind the times with all their other locations. there are a lot of issues with the checkouts I would agree. Either not enough open or you come at the time where they are switching out tills or switching over to the selfcheck lanes only at night. there are a few cashiers/managers here that I try to avoid, they are usually the ones that have been there since colorado was elected as a state. cranky, moody and bossy. Also on the flip side the shoppers aren't any better either sometimes. This is by far the worst supermarket near my home. They often don't carry common things you need (they just dropped Swanson's vegetable broth, why?). The meat counter rarely has any higher end cuts of meat. I have never found filet mignon there. The people shopping can be questionable. And rude. Or just plain loud. But that's much of Aurora, for you. I've been here for most of my life and it doesn't bother me, much. What REALLY bothers me is the deli counter. I have waited for service for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged by the staff behind the counter, even when there is no one else trying to get service. The shelves looked like a series of preschoolers came in over the course of three years and beat the living snot out of the products with baseball bats while wearing muddy, black soled shoes. And while a Grand Prix race was going on. And while the shit monster from Dogma roamed the aisles touching everything Just filthy. CSA behind the counter leaves to put things away instead of helping customers in line. Seriously!?!? Manager walks by us ALL standing in line to go from the back office to the front office without helping anyone. Huh?!?!? A lady, who was not in uniforms walks towards the back and when I ask her if she's a manager, she shakes her head. Then why are you peaking your head into the back office!?!? King Soopers - The entire store looks like this!!! AWFUL!!! - Grocery Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

Lord this store is nothing but a huge mess. When you arrive you will notice a parking lot full of shopping carts & trash. Upon walking in the store you will be greeted with an awful smell- the strange part is sometimes it smells like mildew & mold while other times it reeks of dead fish. It is pretty hard to concentrate on shopping with this horrid smell. It's almost like they are mopping with dirty mop water.. Was in the self checkout lane once when we needed an override. The woman was standing at the front of U Scan for a good minute talking to her friend. We had to go interrupt her conversation to get some help. She didn't say a single word to us! Not one. Just walked over and punched in a number and walked away. She didn't even complete the override. She left it on this screen which would've given is the ability to edit/ reduce prices on our food. Luckily I have worked for King Soopers before and knew just what to do to exit the screen. But how incredibly unprofessional.. what else to expect from an establishment like this where all the employees look like ex-cons and like they do not take care of their personal hygiene. The ladies at the deli on wed june 24 at 515, Maggie and Miriam were incredibly helpful fast with service and very friendly. I have had very good experiences at this deli every week for the last couple months I want to make sure that the whole department gets credit for the great customer service and delicious reasonably priced food the two ladies listed above Are excellent and have always been so nice to me. This is the worst king sooper to ever go to. Not just because the places is always massively disorganized, but also because a good chunk of the staff are rude and disrespectful. One in particular is Sabrina, the older grayed woman working the self check out. With every question asked, or any assistance required she sarcastically, and with the paces of a snail pass it's prime. It's always packed which isn't the stores fault but it seems to always run out of certain products. You would think after seeing how crowded it gets they would plan for more products. Nothing against the store, management or the staff in general but one person. We were made aware of a service very recently and therefore we went back to the store to ask for it as we were happy about it. We found a tray of chicken in the chicken aisle that was clearly seasoned and labeled Cajun-seasoned chicken. We brought it home and tried it and it was really good so on one of our grocery run back to this king soopers, we asked this one nice gentleman that worked in the Meat department and he said that they must've seasoned that chicken for a customer and they changed their mind so they put it back out on display in hopes that It would actually sell. So we then asked him to season a tray of chicken we had grabbed out of the display case and since then we have been going back to get chicken seasoned 2 other times until just recently. So clearly we've been buying chicken a few times already until we went one day and KAY was working in the Meat department and had refused to season our chicken and said that they have never done that and that whoever sold us the chicken tray and had it seasoned shouldn't have done that. She rushed to call a manager over the intercom and he came and explained that he did not manage that department so he was not a 100% sure but he did a good job by making his customers happy and honoring our request. However, Ms. Kay was not happy with it and basically just poured seasoning over the top of the chicken and sealed it back up. The next time we went, Ms. Kay was there AGAIN and she either remembered us from the last time we went or she was just not a fan of doing this service. We waited for her to finish whatever she was doing for maybe a couple minutes then turned around and said, "what do you need?" No hi, hello or a nicely, "what can I do for you?" No customer service skills whatsoever. I kid you not, we always get bad customer service from her and she never is friendly or approachable but I'll forgive her because she still has to wake up everyday to go work her job while I go about my life. So good luck Kay!! Hope you find a better job in the near future or hopefully retire so you don't have to deal with customers. read more

This King Soopers is god awful. I honestly hate coming to this kings because of the poor condition this store is in, the sketchy crowd of people that frequently roam the parking lot at night and ask for money, the lack of quality foods and produce, and the overall staff here. I'm all about fresh produce and it doesn't even matter what time I go at, the produce section is always sparse and never has great produce. This kings is a world of a difference compared to the one I've been to in Parker, Boulder, and some parts of Denver. I honestly think they don't upkeep with this kings because of the socioeconomic status of the people that live here and since aurora is "ghetto" they don't even want to bother to keep things stocked up because people probably "can't afford it anyways". Such a shame, but I guess the world revolves around money, so people living in lower socioeconomic situations don't deserve a nice store I guess.. read more

Went here about 8 o'clock just wanting a chicken breast from the deli for dinner. The guy in the deli told me that all they had left was under the heat lamp out with the rotisserie chicken all they had was a few big bundles of fried chicken in a plastic containers for $8 I asked the guy in the deli if he could just take a breast out and weigh it because I didn't need all that chicken since I'm just one person and he said no..
