A group of friends and I ordered an $80 bouquet (see photo) for delivery to a friend who just got out of the hospital. Total price with delivery and taxes was $101. You see, our friend lives 1,000 miles away from us so unfortunately we are unable to hand deliver anything to her. After reading reviews and another local flower shop who didn't answer when I called I decided to go with this place. I placed a phone order and the girl who took my order was nice and took payment over the phone. She also asked if I wanted the arrangement to be bright and cheerful. When I explained the situation I assumed there would be more effort and care into this arrangement. Instead they took advantage of our situation. There's nothing "bright and cheerful" about this at all. And when I meant same day I didn't mean half ass either. This wasn't a "rush" order either, not for me at least. The good: I got 2 mother's day bouquets from here and thought they came out nicely. Ordering online was easy and the price was fair. I asked for the 2 bouquets to look different from one another (since they were both going to the same house) and the two were not identical. The bad: Though the 2 bouquets weren't 100% like each other, they did closely resemble one another. 3-4 elements of both bouquets were the exact same and only 1 element were different from each other (and this element was actually the same flower in both but just a different color). I was hoping they'd be more unique so that the two didn't resemble one another. The interesting: They also sell gift baskets with fruit or gourmet food items. Unfortunately, things have changed since I got the ROTD on my original review and I feel, to be fair to the people reading my Yelp review, that I should provide this update. The flowers I ordered for Valentine's Day were the most pitiful display of flowers I've ever seen. It looked like either the flowers fell out of the vase or they were frozen or both but it was sad. There is not reason these should have been delivered. Speaking of which, they were supposed to be sent to my wife's school. There was a big sticker on them saying delivery had to be completed early in the day. That never happened. The flowers finally came to our house, after I called, during dinner. We were have a big birthday party for my one year old and we were going to use these flowers as the display for the table. Well, needless to say it became more of a joke than anything. To be fair, the people on the phone were great. They explained with a ton of deliveries that this slipped through. As much as I understand that it also shows they lack of preparedness. They agreed to send me an upgrade of flowers the next day. What I got the next day were nice but this is what I expected in the first place. An upgrade, in my mind, was way more than what I got. I ordered flowers after this incident from another florist for less money and the flowers just blew me away. I feel like this is what I should have gotten from Fresh Flower Market, which prompted this review. And I do feel like this is what I got from them when I wrote the original review so I am not sure what has changed since that day. I know some people, maybe the owners, will start asking about the quality. Let's just say flowers from both florists lasted 3 weeks so I'd say the quality is there for both. read more

Recently, an out-of-state family member suddenly passed away. Because we could not attend the funeral on such short notice, I called this store to order flowers for the funeral. I am so disappointed and upset at the result. This looks like a five year old put it together. There are barely any flowers and what little there are look wilted. This does not reflect the thought and care that I put into my order, or the $120 price tag (not including delivery fee). If this florist did not have enough flowers make a nice arrangement, I wish they could have simply let me know so that I could get flowers elsewhere. What really makes me sad is what the bereaved recipient must have thought. I gave two stars because they did put the flowers in a basket as requested and delivered on time. read more

Through what I do for work, I've developed an incredible group of friends. One of them was in the hospital giving birth to her 2nd child. She has literally been one of the sweetest people we all knew, so we decided to group up and get her some goodies. There are online florists everywhere, and plenty of local options. I found The Fresh Flower Market to be close by. I swing by, and asked for helping in choosing the best choice based on her allergies. Found a great setup. Paid in advance with a request that I call when she's getting ready and then it be made. Well, they close at 6pm and I got word at 5:30. I don't live far, but I am handicapped, don't move fast, and it was rush hour. I called and they said they would stay late, and even if I didn't make it in time, they would leave it at a business next door with my name for confirmation. To me, that is stellar. That is a willingness to sacrifice and still ensure it can be obtained. I managed to get there at the last second (thankfully there were no cops on the way!) and they had the arrangement ready. They had missed a small note to change the red roses to white roses, and instead of swapping them, stayed and added the white ones. Thankfully it was a group gift AND my friend reminded me her and her husband don't worry about colors and what they mean, they look at the desire to give and the thoughtfulness behind it instead. Drove across town, waiting for her to pop. It turned into a VERY long delivery. I finally just decided to drop them and the box of diapers at the nurses station for that floor and they agreed to bring them in post-delivery and all the stuff with it. When I brought the bouquet up, almost all the nurses gushed over them. Even the married ones. Apparently it's not common. Surprised me, but ok lol. My friend told me when they wheeled the bouquet in, the nurse said something along the lines of how much her friends must love her. The understanding of a difficult situation, the knowledge to lead the right way in choices, and the willingness to give more than needed at the last minute says so many things. The staff member worked with me to create beautiful (and not cheap looking) arrangements while staying completely in budget.
