The checkout line (with humans) was full; the self checkout belt backed up tons of groceries already on the belt; the scanner did not read several of the food items; the "helpers" were slow to help; gave up, waited in the "human" line for 15 minutes and started over. read more

This is a really bad store. Not only is the berry produce always bad, but there is a creepy guy in the vitamin dept that always stares me down. Going through self checkout-if you have ADHD do not go through self checkout. If you put your second hand on a second product even once (on accident) the screen stops and you have to call the employee that is there. I am able to be my ADHD self and go through self checkout efficiently in every store but this one. I used to be a cashier years ago and I was very efficient. Some of these cashiers are just slow. read more

Went to this location to buy a cake for an anniversary, I asked for assistance 2 times and received none. So I proceeded to open the case and get the cake that I was wanting to purchase. When I finally went behind the counter to look for box someone of management approached me and said that nobody was in the bakery this afternoon to assist me. I asked for a frosting tube so that I could write on cake myself but was declined. This person said that she was not a trained cake decorator! Went here for some last minute groceries shopping with my girlfriend and her brother. Had a case of beer and was refused cause it was a group. I had a minor (17 ) and my girlfriend who is 26 and I'm 27. Was refused to purchase alcohol cause I looked under 50 and went as group. Meanwhile other people went as group checked out bought alcohol no ID was asked. I had my ID as well but my group girlfriend and her brother didn't have it on them cause they weren't the one paying or purchasing it. Is it because we're Asian? The stupidity of this is ridiculous. So I had my kids with me and I looked under 50 I would be refused to purchase alcohol? Make that make sense. I asked the checkout clerk to speak to Manager/supervisor. Came by just took the case of beer away without speaking to me and had the clerk relay the message she just told me. Wow such a great experience! read more

This place is horrible. From the pickup order pickers taking items out of customers carts to stockers completely blocking aisles and giving attitude when you try to squeeze by them, it sucks. Ridiculous prices, and if you buy a perishable item like milk, keep the receipts- it will be spoiled by the time you get home, regardless of what the expiration date is. The older cashiers are terrible- if I say I'm not interested in the app, just drop it. Don't hold up the line trying to change my mind. On the plus side, the younger cashiers are all great! This is our local grocery store which means we buy most everything here, including prescriptions. The pharmacy is kind of a mixed bag. On the one hand, they're never friendly. You basically feel like you've interrupted whatever it is they're doing. I've been there dozens of times and have never once been greeted with a smile. On the other hand, they've bent over backwards to help us out whenever we've had problems with insurance, refills, etc. If I were to rate them on getting results, it'd be four or five stars. If I were to rate them on friendliness and customer service, it'd be one star. The rest of the store is pretty good, except the last few times we've been there, the produce section was missing some pretty basic items. Having said that, we're still going to shop here. The nearest alternatives are Target and Walmart (shudder). read more

It is rare that I review a grocery store. I think most people have very high expectations from grocery stores. We kind of assume that anything we want should magically be available at the drop of a whim, the store should be constantly flawlessly maintained, staff should act like your best friend that has nothing to do but help you with your problems, and the prices should be lower than any other place within a reasonable drive. Well, it is often like that at the Union King Soopers. When their magical wand can't make your desire into reality, they do whatever they can to move reality toward your desires. They give us moldy strawberries and grapes every time we order groceries. 3 times in a row. The quality is very low & the food goes right in the trash. Constantly "out of stock" on items. If you are fulfilling a customers order, then it should be thoroughly checked before giving them out. It's a waste of time and my money. read more

For starters, this location didn't carry some of the products I needed (Daikon, Endive and Mocha Mix) as other locations do. I'm here from MN visiting my parents in Colorado Springs. I made my purchase, got all the way home and found I was not given my produce. I don't fault the cashier, but it was the bagger who was nice, but obviously not efficient. I called from home, and the person I spoke to kept me on hold so long, I hung up and just drove back to the store, even though I said I would do it after dinner. Realizing I didn't have all my dinner items, I had to go back. I was given the run around about who to talk to, and when I finally wound up in Customer Service, there was none. Frustrated, I just picked up my missing items and left. I told my parents not to use their King Soopers Loyalty Card, because if the store can't be loyal, they can buy groceries elsewhere. They can't afford the gas. I've already left reviews for this store on Twitter and Yelp. I will NEVER go back to King Soopers. I love Krogers, and am very disappointed with the lack of customer service. Given this experience, I'd rename their store to King Bloopers. read more

After they resurfaced the parking lot, they doubled the amount of speed bumps when you enter from Briargate Pkwy. Prepare to go over 4 jarring speed bumps. If you enter from Family Pl., there is one speed bump. They also made some of the parking spaces smaller and I had difficulty getting out of my car without hitting the car in the next space. Very dissatisfied with 3 recent trips to the Briargate King Soopers. At 9am each day there have been stockers still putting items away, blocking the aisles with all the boxes waiting to be put away. I saw a shopper in an electric cart get stuck in an aisle due to all the boxes. Also there are not enough checkout lanes open and carts are backed up into the aisles that are already jammed with boxes and shoppers. We've been loving the store for many years but the last 2 months everything has changed for the worse. read more

My wife and I have been going to this store since it opened. Overall, it really is a good store with the exception of the way they stock the store and their aisle displays. Please note, I worked in grocery stores for several years. Never once in my time working grocery have I seen the night crew still stocking at 9am in the morning. But this is status quo at this store. Night shift should be done stocking and the store ready for full business no later than 7am. The same goes for the seafood, meat and deli display cases. The attached picture is from this afternoon. My wife brought the front end manager over to point out the pallets blocking the aisle and he just blamed the hallmark guy. I never thought Hallmark would need that many pallets. They beed.to remove the aisle displays, including the displays by the dairy section. A they do is cause a traffic jam and the blue carts the employees roll around to take care of delivery/pick up orders has only made it worse. I understand they want them in place to slow shoppers down to increase impulse purchases, but they just end up pissing people off! read more

I have been coming to this King Soopers for over 2 years, but used the Albertsons pharmacy because KS wasn't open when we moved to Pine Creek. I switched to the KS pharmacy because they opened at 8 AM. I drop my kids off in the morning around 7 AM, then I could get groceries & pick up any prescriptions before I headed home NOW this KS pharmacy doesn't open until 9 AM & I'm back where I started. I used shopped at King Soopers a lot, but not in recent years. Their prices have become less competitive. Today's shopping experience was quite unpleasant. I bought an item labeled at $1.99 and the receipt showed $2.50. I went to the customer service. The guy took a minute and calculated that he owed me $.50 cents (it should be $.51). I inquired about their scan accuracy policy. He said 'the change is the result of that policy'. I said 'so you don't have the if the scanned price is different the customer gets the item free' any more. He said 'No, too many people cheated'. While I don't understand how a customer could cheat when there is a price listed right there on the product and there is a price charged listed on the receipt, it's the look that he gave me and the tone he used that was so insulting as if that he caught me cheating. I wonder what else is going on that is causing King Soopers to go downhill. read more

I miss this store so much. I knew all of the cashiers by name, the store was always pristine, and even management appeared to care about my concerns. I've recently relocated to Alabama where Kroger and Publix rule. Kroger is awful out here, can't stand to walk inside the store, as employees look like zombies and the cashiers don't even grunt at you, much less smile and look at you in the eyes. If I could I'd move back to the Springs just for the grocery store, but short of that I'll shop at Publix for now on. SMH. read more

Mentioned this to an employee walking the floor and was told they had to "loan" carts to the new store. Best employees of any grocery store or other King Soopers in town! I just moved from Monument, which has a really great King Soopers, to Briargate. There are three King Soopers about equal distances away from my new home. So I tried all three to determine which will be my new preferred store. I was so impressed with the employees and the cleanliness at the one on North Union and Briargate Parkway! I was greeted by multiple employees (floral depth, a bagger that was not bagging my groceries, sushi counter, meat counter and employees walking by, ) checking to see if I needed help and asking how my day was. My cashier was extra helpful and friendly- she helped me get double fuel points! I literally left there with a smile. And it wiped away any frustration I had with not knowing my way around the store or the crowds of Sunday shoppers oblivious to others around them. read more

This store has really hit rock bottom. Today I went about 530pm...no carts and empty shelves. I would guess that atleast half the items on my shopping list were not on the shelves. I stopped by the deli and picked up some fried chicken...when I got home I realized that it was cold and not cooked all the way through...no doubt some one pulled it out of the fryer too soon to keep up with demand. My cold cuts were mangled at the deli...I asked for thin cut but slices were too thick on one side and shredded on the other side. The deli keeps the uncut deli meats in filthy gallon sized plastic bags which is probably a health code violation. As I walked by the fish dept I couldn't help by hold my breath to avoid inhaling the strong fish odor hanging in the air at the back of the store. Come on King Soopers you can do better then this! read more

A snow storm is coming! A snow storm is coming! Everyone, their uncle, their sister, and their cousins are at this King Soopers. I heard it has been a steady stream of crazy like this for going on 11 hours. Yet the employees are still smiling, friendly, hard working and helpful. Clerks stocking shelves with lightning speed and without blocking aisles (how did they do that?) The checkout lines were insanely long but moved incredibly quickly. Very organized, all checkstands open with an employee every third checkstand directing traffic. Kudos to everyone all around! read more

I NOT ONLY HAVE TO WAIT TO GET MY MONEY BACK BUT KING SOOPERS WILL NOT PULL THE CARD UNTIL THEY INVESTIGATE. BUYERS- DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM COMPANIES THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW. AND I WAITED OVER ONE HOUR FOR THEM TO TELL ME I HAD TO WAIT DAYS TO GET MY MONEY BACK- AN HOUR OF MY TIME! Stay away from the RELOADIT cards- they are phoney and King Soopers will give you a hassle getting your money back. They even say- no refunds on gift cards and I think when a consumer exposes the truth- they should not keep the money or make you wait. They didcarry a lot of organic meats one time- now it is just chicken and ground beef and turkey. No organic bacon, organic bison, or pork not even an organic sausage for crying out loud. This is not good if your shopping for organic. The organic produce is fairly priced but the potatoes are always horrible!!! Green and full of worms or already rotting in spots. Personally after this scam of the gift card and the fact they wont keep others from the same mistake- I may never shop there again- I don't like their policies. read more
