I like this store, generally. This review is more for the Order Ahead. So, I placed an order in advance for pickup. I later needed to make a change to the order and the process was just unclear and confusing. Everyone i spoke to seemed nice and wanted to help, but just didn't really know what to do. I think it's more a systems issue rather than the fault of an individual employee. Ultimately I was given wrong information, which just made the whole thing confusing to everyone involved. It would be nice for orders placed in advance if there was a direct number to the department we would need to speak with, as opposed to just the general store number. At a certain point, I have no idea which department to ask for. In the end, I got my order - so all's well that ends well but I think if there was just a better process in place it would have saved phone calls and headaches on all sides. read more

I just purchased an 8 pack of Chester's Chicken from the deli. It was so dried out, it was not edible! I took a picture of the 3 worst of the group. This is not the first time I have experienced that and this pattern repeats at other stores. read more

The remodel is great, and it's been a reliable place to shop in years past. I am not very satisfied with the pharmacy, it seems that every time I am attempting to fill a prescription I'm told it will take hours to fill. I'll move to another pharmacy and shop elsewhere. read more

22 SEP 22 - Visited this location this morning and wanted something from the deli and now I see why my husband said they have the worse deli in town. I was standing there with two other people and no one even acknowledged our presence so I ended up having to pick up some of the already sliced turkey and ham that was available. This is not the first time we have had this problem at this deli. They need to teach their deli people some customer service skills before they start working at this deli. We never had this problem at any of the Safeway grocery stores. read more

I greatly appreciate the Sooper-Card savings (especially on gas), friendly employees (some we've known for 10+ years!) ample choices, eco-friendly products, waste-conscious business, community services, and consistently good customer service. Let me tell you. Me and my friends go here almost every day for lunch cause its cheap and you can get a lot of stuff for under $5. When we went to the chicken place today, there was no fresh chicken and it looked like everything had been sitting out for the past 6 days. I digress, the lady who helped us was really nice, but i got three chickens with some mac and cheese for around $5. Good right? Ive ate their chicken many of times and ive never felt how i do now. I cant tell if im having an allergic reaction or what but my feet were all red and bumpy and itchy and kind of burning too. Not only that but my stomach is absolutely messed up. Ive been feeling like i was gonna throw up since I ate that. I swear if this MAC AND CHEESE gave me an ALLERGIC REACTION AND FOOD POISONING IM SO DONE. Come on King Soopers. If youre going to support a business inside your store and they are not putting out fresh stuff or putting out stuff that has been sitting for what taste and looks like weeks, just close it for the day. We are new in town and everyone tells us this is the grocery store to go to. I do like the gas discount and I also like that they unload the content of your cart onto the belt for you (I've never seen that before). I also think they have a great produce section that includes organic options too. They also have a discount section in the back of the store with discounted items, including great deals on bakery items. If you are looking for juice it is in a weird place- at the far corner of the store in a cosmetics aisle!?! The negative is that I find shopping here incredibly stressful. The carts are big (though they have some mini carts somewhere) and two carts barely fit in an aisle. I feel rushed and in people's way every time I come- even in the middle of the day when you'd think it would be less crowded. It's almost impossible to take a minute to decide what you want to pick off the shelves because someone is always wanting to get by you and you have to move. It's also hard to look at the selection on the shelves because there are so many people. Am I the only one who has this experience? Overall the selection is good at this store but I'm not sure how much longer I can handle the tight aisles. read more

This King Soopers is fine. What's not fine is some teenage check out clerk telling me that he needs to see my son's ID ALONG with his 51 year old mom. He told me that if my son was underage, I wouldn't be able to purchase a case of beer. . Not only have I never heard of such a thing, but it's the FIRST time that has ever happened. Lucky for us the very young check out kid did the math wrong on my boy. He's only 20! I asked him if my son wasn't of age, could I still purchase the beer. No, was the answer! I asked him if I came back in without my son and tried to purchase beer, would that be a problem? He said that NO ONE in the store would sell me beer! Well, guess I won't be back here... I wonder if they know that's not a thing at the Safeway down the street? Totally weird... And dumb. read more

I stress out getting in and out of this parking lot. Just difficult and cars going willy-nilly and I reserve that term for select descriptions. The store is often crowded and midday, midweek you will get behind the couponers and wait a long time to check out. If I'm basically here, I'll run in, but the Briargate and Union store is a better experience. read more

I keep getting charges on my card that are luckily getting caught by fraud alert but I have an issue that either an employee is stealing card numbers or they aren't checking ID's regularly when someone uses a credit card. This is regarding the Pharmacy portion of King Soopers. I called today to get a refill, and as soon as they answered they asked to put me on hold. Well after 8 minutes on hold, and numerous times of the phone ringing to them they did it over and over. Finally the pharmacist answered but of course didn't even give her name. Not only did she not apologize or show any empathy after the long hold time, but she couldn't get me quick enough off the phone. Finally I told her your obviously in a hurry to get me off the line so I'll let you go. All it takes is a little bit of empathy and common courtesy and that goes a long way. These people at this pharmacy have been far from friendly and if the service doesn't improve I'll go somewhere else even if it is a little more for prescriptions. read more

Edit: Well, it used to be open 24/7 but it's 2:15AM and there is a sign on the door that says STORE HOURS: 5am to midnight daily. I work an odd shift so this really sucks for me, and sadly will have to go to Walmart from now on most likely. This is the closest grocery store to my house, so it's always my store of choice. It's open 24/7 and it's always super clean. I usually shop later at night to avoid the crowds, because it can get pretty busy, especially on Friday afternoons. It's easy to navigate and find your way around, and if you need help there's usually always a staff member nearby to ask. read more

This is my go to grocery store. I live nearby so of course it would be. Its busy most days, but nothing like the chaos of the Briargate and Union location. The only issue that drives me batty is the parking lot. There is very limited places to put your shopping carts...ugh! I wish I could meet the one that designed that one!! read more

This King Soopers on Hartsel Drive is outstanding. If you need a birthday cake their bakery is the one to go to. Their staff is outstanding, especially Mary who went the extra mile for to find a cake and decorate it in the color I wanted. The staff at this store are awesome. read more

I really like my local King Soopers but their online ordering shoppers can be a different experience!!! My most recent order, I ordered Gluten Free muffins. And while that was out of stock, the shopper picked Saltine Crackers as a replacement. First, that is not even close to a muffin. Secondly and most importantly, they are not gluten free. It is in fact garbage for me as I will get sick if I eat it. This is not my first poor experience, I have ordered single serve items in multiples and instead received full size in the same number. such as 4 single serve orange juices and receive 4 large bottles of orange juice. I have received damaged fruit that had to be thrown away on receiving. And more problems. This is not the staff working day to day in the store, its the shoppers!!! I will be doing my online ordering form Safeway to help get the right food and stop shoring food away after paying a hefty fee for purchasing online with delivery!!! read more

Best grocery store ever! I go frequently and try all kinds of stores. Never before have I had the perfect experience! Produce was large and beautiful, fully stocked/had everything I wanted, workers were knowledgable AND super friendly!!! The employees seems legitimately happy and considerate. Ordered groceries from King Soopers on Hansel Dr. this morning and the cost was 80.00. The grocies were not delivered even after the delivery person contacted me for assistance locating an apartment. After 6 phone calls and the answer being 'it's not us it's Insta cart' and insta cart says they can't do anything but issue a refund that will take 10 days. After I tried to reorder the exact same order 7 hours later the cost of the same order has jumped to 105.00. And again no one can accept responsibility and help resolve this issue. For some one a fixed income who bought a weeks worth of groceries another 105.00 would be more than hardship it would overdraw the checking account. Don't shop at this King Soopers. They will not stand by there services and they seem to experts on how pass the blame. After more than 20 years of being a Kroger customer in a few different states, I will never order from them again, and I will make sure others know how my local King Soopers and the customer service for Kroger's failed to provide a solution to the problem but did provide a litany of phone numbers to call to pass the blame. read more

Super clean, very organized and nice worker! Has quite a few busy days and time but I think its because its a well kept King Soopers compared to some close by. This is the place I go to for MOST of my fresh produce because they are in deed FRESH. Also their choices of meats are huge! The stuff here are a bit more pricey than buying them at Walmart but if you were to compare quality, it's completely worth it! Pantry items cost more than some places so I don't even bother unless it's something no other grocer store carry. Oh, and getting fuel points everytime I shop here is fantastic!! read more

Having moved to Colorado last year I started shopping at King Soopers not really knowing who or what they are. I used to go to the one a little bit further west on Woodmen at the corner of Woodmen and Academy. I can say without a doubt this location completely beats the other store in terms of selection, availability and stalker fall products including a greater selection of produce and cheese. The other location nickels and dimes you when they incorrectly marked items on sale and they aren't willing to price correct for their errors. But at this location to go above and beyond to make sure they make it right. Case in point this location was out of stock of Heritage Farm chicken when I brought this to the attention of one of the clerks in the meat area he grabbed the pen and a sticker that said "I can make it right" and he price adjusted the hand trimmed chicken to be the same price as the Heritage chicken. I had never experienced anything like this before by the previous King Sooper on Academy, once again they would blame anyone but themselves on pricing errors and would refuse to make it right. I have to give a big shout-out to Ian the other night for doing this for us in instilling faith in this location. I will only shop at this King Soopers going forward! read more

King Soopers is my favorite supermarket because their "people make the difference". It was proven again today at the Rangewood and Woodmen store. I asked one of the employees where the spaghetti sauce was and as usual he started to go with me across the store to find it. They have done this in any store I go. Also, they quickly helped me with cleaning up a mess on the way out. Rangewood is my personal favorite but it is a fact that they have the best cheese counter around and surpasses the Whole Foods store at least in Cambozola Black Label. I know the King Soopers Marketplace store is a city unto itself (although please make sure the largest store has the items of the other locations - it does not carry the table cream I have to get at the Stetson Hills store), the Briargate one is Level A (when Rangewood is only Level B), Stetson Hills is a good local store (probably Level C) and the one on the Mesa has the upscale hardwood floors and cozy atmosphere but Rangewood is the best. I want to add that I like their home delivery service, the new in store self-check as you go, pick up service and King Soopers card store and fuel discounts. I would appreciate if they matched each other in the price of gas, however. I think the Marketplace charges more per gallon. They also have a fine community benefits program for worthy charitable causes. Their "people make the difference". read more

We have lived in Colorado Springs for almost nine years. Our grocery store of choice was Albertson's on North Union, but it seems like it started to go downhill a few years ago. We switched to this King Soopers. There is a closer King Soopers on North Union, but it is ALWAYS crowded with folks rushing about. This King Soopers has less traffic in the mornings when we usually shop. The staff are always friendly and helpful; we always get greeted and asked if we need any help. We think their produce is better quality than Albertson's, and usually fresher, and their fish counter (e.g., salmon) is definitely better too. read more
