Just left the King Spa on UniversityDr in Denton! I got the Tibetian combo back/foot massage with reflexology. Very clean and professional place. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The lady who gave me the massage wasn't just going through the motions- she really worked to find any problem areas and focus on that. She was excellent with using a variety of pressures and techniques. It was quite heavenly overall, and I am thinking of buying my step-daughter a gift certificate here. I just got back from my first visit and it was AH-mazing.... I had the Earth and Heaven massage, never once did I feel uncomfortable... I had a Mister this time, I've had two white girl massages, the first one hurt me so bad I'm still pissed off about it and the second one I had by a different white girl talked about divorcing her husband the whole time... both of those were out of Granbury, Texas.... This gentleman gets 10 stars from me... he massages your face while your feet soak and then moves to your feet and legs, then he has you take your top off while he leaves the room and you lay on your stomach... they cover you in towels, music In the back ground to help you relax and enjoy... without telling him I know he knew where the problem areas were at.... when he was doing my feet the spot in my lower back even stopped hurting .... and he didn't even know I had a lower back issue till it was back time.... it was just a wonderful experience... will definitely be back for the hot rocks massage and I cannot wait, when my husband gets back into town he will also be going for the Earth and Heaven experience .... see you soon and thank you for a wonderful massage!! What a pleasant surprise! I needed a massage. Bad. I usually go massage envy. I just looked in yelp today and found king spa. Affordable. I tried it out. Amazing! Traditional Chinese massage. Lady walked on my back and got my knots out. I also had foot reflexology and then an infrared sauna. I sauna often. The infrared is the most effective I loved it. The Groupon for 70 minute Tibetan foot massage. was a good deal but this wasn't the best massage i've gotten. I definitely went in with high expectations, but unfortunately my message was pretty mediocre. The staff was nice but they kept whispering really loudly in the massage room and at one point they left the room for a extended period of time. It wasn't terrible or anything, but I was kind of let down. Also they don't require you to buy the actual Groupon, you can just mention it to the front desk and they'll price match it read more

Was given as a valentine gift... wished I would have went sooner! Was amazing! Very clean, very nice staff! I did the 70 min Tibetan therapeutic massage. 35 min feet / 35 min back body it was incredible!!!!!!! Very, very clean. I did a 30 min foot message and 40 min infrared sauna. The price for each was $25. Very professional staff. Relaxing music during the massage. Thankfully they don't use edsential oils...essential oils give me hives, burn my eyes and make it hard to breathe. Don't let the store front deter you. It is very nice inside. read more

Horrible experience. I was surprised after reading all the reviews online. The tables just had towels on them and then they used paper towels for the head hole. The guy doing the massage and reflexology smelled of cigarettes. The massage was mediocre at best. Also, it ended 30 minutes earlier than what it was suppose to. I had asked the lady who escorted me back if I needed to get undress and she was unable to communicate with me. So then when the guy was doing the massage, he asked for me to remove my top while he was still in the room. I do not recommend and I am never going back. read more

I had a groupon and my massage was very good and very thorough and was very relaxing since my muscles were sore and tight from a difficult workout. However, I was not able to communicate with the staff. No one spoke any English (which I understand, it's hard to learn, and the US doesn't have an official language. I totally understand). I do wish there was at least some signage explaining how to prepare (should I undress? Should I lay face up or facedown? What's the towel for? Can I pay gratuity on my card or must I use cash? Etc.) The massage was great, the atmosphere was clean and calm, but the lack of communication was confusing was a bit stressful to me. read more

I didn't have a great experience at all . I had the male worker doing my full body massage, I asked for medium pressure and instead I got a hard pressure. I asked him to do soft pressure at that point and yet the pressure still didn't change , I asked and my friend that was in the room asked as well for him to give me soft pressure because I was in pain and yet he didn't change up. In total i asked him 4 times to lighten up.It was to the point to where I wanted to scream out it was sooooo painfully I was close to tears . My whole back is sore and I have actual bruises on my back . I went in to have a relaxing soothing message and left out barely able to move I am highly disappointed and upset and would not recommend this place based off of my experience! read more

I came to try the infrared sauna with a Groupon. I decided to add a full body massage & I must say it was totally worth the drive from Desoto. I will definitely make the trip back at least once a month. The massage was thorough & so relaxing! Looking forward to my next trip already!!! read more

Don't let the look of the outside fool you, this place is great. The massages are always fantastic, the staff is always friendly, and the prices are fair. My fiance and I are always able to get an appointment for that day. We've tried several different massage places in DFW and this one is our absolute favorite! Great price! It says "$$" but it can be "$" if you mention their groupon deal. You don't even have to buy it on groupon which I think is better for the business and we should support small businesses! The parking can be easy to miss but they have reserved spots for their patrons. The front desk is gracious and offered us water and directed us to the bathroom if we needed which was fully stocked and clean. We took a seat and noticed they make a good effort in cleaning and there are reasonably priced, locally crafted bars of goat soap for retail. Our appointment started right on time and our room only had two massage stations so it was private for us. I think everyone's different on their preference of water temperature so it's helpful if you tell them what you like. They know all the right muscles to massage and how to find and work out knots. Their therapists really go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and do a thorough job! read more
