We finally tried this place and the food was 10/10! We got the beef tallow fries, chicken Alfredo, shrimp in a white wine sauce and soup.

So good !!! We…read moretravel often between CA & OR and we're always looking for good food on our road trips. The food is excellent here !! My husband had the roasted chicken and I had the spaghetti. Both were delicious and the staff was so friendly. Two thumbs up for sure !!

Walked in at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon after heading back from Crater lake. My boyfriend and his…read morefamily used to come here and eat pizza when he was little and he wanted to check it out again. The lady who took our order was very friendly and helpful. We didn't know what all the wing types were and she explained them and the spice level. Helped us get the wings and pizza ordered. We grabbed a beer from the bar before we went to sit on the patio because it's a beautiful day outside. We were the only ones out here and it was peaceful. The wings came out and they were delicious and the ranch that came with it was big. The were crispy, perfectly cooked and mild like it said. The pizza then came out, we got the mama Mia pizza (#9). The bottom has a little crunch, the toppings look/tasted fresh and we were happily full. When the pizza came out the waitress asked us if we wanted ranch and she brought out a whole squirt bottle of it on ice and it was very good ranch. (I like a decent amount of ranch on my pizza especially the crust). 10/10 recommend and when we're back in town, we will definitely be back! So much space for lots of people. Looks like there is entertainment weekend nights and has a very relaxed and nice vibe about it. Look at the picture for the pizza and view in the patio.

Here is a tip for El Palacio...or what they now call The Sizzlin Buffet restaurant…read more In the post-COVID era, a surviving buffet is a rarity. I'm not sure how much longer the Slizzlin will last doing what they currently do...which is part of the problem..consistency. The Mexican portion of the buffet is ok. You get the usual offerings. You might have to ask for fresh from the kitchen enchiladas, and you ALWAYS have to ask for corn or flour tortillas. They don't put those out on the buffet. Rice, beans, stuff to make tacos, fajitas, it's there. The service is fine. Plenty of offers of water. If the enchiladas are not on the buffet, you might have to ask for them. Sometimes the waitress offers you some, other times they don't and they are not on the buffet line. Inconsistency. The ambiance...well this is Klamath Falls, and long ago I think this place used to be a bank. The upstairs was a wild night club for a while until they lost their liquor license. The ambiance, if you call it that is all Mexican colors. But here is the problem: The non-Mexican food you simply never know what is going to be on the buffet line. Sure...there is a "Theme Night" every night except Tuesdays when I think they are closed. But how many customers can remember what food is going to be served on which day? They have Italian, Prime Rib, Fish night...I can't remember the others. Also, what I notice is that they serve the "Theme Night" left-overs for the $15 lunch the next day. So whatever night is Italian, you can maybe get some lasagna the next day for lunch. If this place has any chance of long term success, they need to provide mashed potatos, gravy, green beans, corn, chicken etc...EVERY DAY and offer a senior citizen discount. If not, they might as well dump the non-Mexican part of the buffet. They need the comfort food every day for consistency. The salad and fruits part is there. But the traditional American buffet is not. Deserts...They used to have a variety of not very good stuff, but now it's all just cinnamon & sugar crunchy things. I think they gave up on the other desert offerings and that was probably a good decision. They have recently lowered the price for dinner from $20 to iirc $17...except Friday and Saturday it's still $20...that's more inconsistency for you. Lunch is $15 but as I said, beyond Mexican food you never know what you are going to get. This restaurant has gone though years of OLCC issues and currently they don't have a liquor license so don't expect to buy drinks, therefore the bar is...closed. I would love to see success here. But given the inconsistency of the non-mexican food part of the buffet, I don't see them lasting more than a couple years.

We went there for their buffet. And if you're going to charge $20 per person then at least keep the…read morefood coming. There was empty trays where I assumed enchiladas were. I'll never know because they never came to replace it. Then the fajitas had more onions and bell peppers than shrimp and steak. The frijoles were very bland. I even put some queso on it to give it flavor and it did not make a difference. Then the steak with yellow squash, zucchini and broccoli had too much salt. The ice cream machine was down. Not impress at all. The only thing I did like was the pasta with cream white sauce and chicken. I definitely won't be coming back.
