One star for the 1 amazing employee that actually cared to help me out…read more I came in looking for 2 specific colors for a birthday party. Ended up grabbing something to price check, and then was heading out. I had my toddler with me, we drove soully to visit this store and check colors. We did not go anywhere but THIS store. My toddler had my keys, and when I went to leave, they were missing. I went to the front, and the cashier said, "you obviously did not have them here, when you came in." I gave them to my daughter, when I put her in the cart, and it was not a quite interaction. I remember specifically my daughter was trying to eat them, another vocal interaction, and like I said, I drove here, and walked into this store only. Yes, I explained this to the cashier. Who then stopped responding to me, just ignored me like I poofed out of existence. And THEN made a remark to the other cashier when I walked away. Very snarky, "she wasn't buying anything, anyway." I calmly explained the situation and my proof of having them in the store. Never once did I shout or scream. Just calmly, but shakily. It was like I was insignificant, a very bizarre way to reply to a person asking for help finding CAR KEYS. After walked away, I then frantically rushed down the aisles, and asked all 6 people in the store if they found my keys. Eventually, after 10 full minutes of searching, I bothered a worker on a tall ladder, I was avoiding having to interrupt. I was near tears, as my key fob costs $500 to replace, not including the rest of my keys, on the ring. With the added bonus of irrational panic that was someone may take them to the lot and rob my car, or take my whole car on a ride. This wonderful worker, calmed me down, told me that it would be okay, and rushed off to ask everyone again. This time 1 of them said that they did have them, and planned to give them to a cashier when they were done shopping. Why this customer didn't tell me the did when I asked them, originally, I'll never understand. The worker found me looking on the shelves, down another isle, and handed me my keys. I thanked them profusely, and they apologized for their coworkers, and told me to have a better rest of my day. I was so frazzled by the end of this I rushed out. I wish I got all of their names. I unfortunately was too upset, angry and frankly embarrassed to stick around longer. This solidified the last time I would be back, and ended up going elsewhere for the colors I wanted. They were less expensive, too. To the two girls manning the cash registers, I obviously did have my keys, and you obviously have 0 care in the world for your fellow man. I hope you never need any sort of miniscule help, and have someone treat yourself like you did me. To the worker that did take the few minutes to help me out, and even asked everyone again, thank you a million times over. Lastly, this was 9/10 months ago, and I've been debating leaving a review here, this whole time. I still haven't returned, and plan on keeping that statement true.

We had an impromptu visit to the Fort Worth stockyards and wanted to check this place out. The goal is to find each letter and punch the yellow ticket (M-A-Z-E). I am so glad that we all did it because I would still be stuck there. I failed to read the instructions when I started so you're supposed to punch your yellow card when you start and punch it again when you leave the maze. I did not keep track of it, but we did find all of the letters and there were a few that I had a hard time finding which were the ones that were up the stairs so you can see the whole maze from above. There is an observation deck that is free next to the maze. A few of the parents were telling their children how to go in the maze from up there. So you can watch the kiddos complete the maze. It is a neat challenge and something fun to do with children.

We got the basic package (blue) for my ten year old and 13 of his friends for a birthday. We only stayed about 2 hours and for the blue pass that seemed like plenty. The kids got to do bumper cars, the battle area (like laser tag but with foam balls), the slides, the ball pit, the jumping area, and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting. All in all the spot is clean, staffed well and a fun kids entertainment spot. We didn't do the zip lining or ropes courses but we didn't feel like we missed out on anything either.

I took my grandson to NickelRama a little over a week ago, while he was visiting from Ohio…read more Having never been, I had no expectations other than to think we were going to an "arcade." I had looked up NickelRama online just to verify that fact, and in so doing I read that all the arcade games were, go figure, a "nickel!" Anyhoo, what I did not realize was that NickelRama are a chain of "play for tickets" arcades, where one may then redeem the tickets for "prizes," akin to that which one might imagine winning at a carnival "Guess Your Age/Weight Booth," where number of prizes range from a stick of chewing gum or pencil topper on the low end to perhaps something electronic on the far upper end, depending on the number of tickets being redeemed. My grandson was fully aware of what we were getting into, as I quickly learned. After we made entry and each received our initial $10.00 purchase of 200 nickels, presented to us loose, in plastic cups, he immediately began searching the arcade for what he determined to be the game that would result in us accumulating the most tickets. This was not his first rodeo and he certainly knew the "name of the game" was quantity over quality, as far as ticket acquisition goes. The idea that we might challenge one another in some friendly video game mano a mano competition was quickly replaced by us challenging an electronically crafted gizmo to give up the most tickets possible, for later turn-in and prize procurement! As such was inevitable, he found THE game and thus, the challenge was on. It took us each about 45 minutes to burn through our 200 nickels. Well, I actually left the particular game and sought some variety of play, after about 160 or so nickels. That was short lived however, as I quickly realized my grandson's assessment was correct and the game to which he remained attached was the one that was most generous in spitting out tickets. Hence, I returned to sit beside him at the adjacent game and fed the remainder of my nickels into the machine. When our nickel cups were empty, I urged my grandson to walk about and seek out other possible games, but he quietly reminded me none were as generous as the one we'd just left. Still, I was seeking variety so, I enticed him with an additional cup of 100 nickels. He retrieved the cups and we began playing a game somewhat similar to THE game, but as he pointed out it just wasn't as lucrative. So, we went back to the machines we first sat at and fed. After a short period, we both were done and ready to feed our tickets into the Ticket Counters for tabulation. The ticket counters, booth count AND slice the tickets in half so they may not be reused/recounted. As our tickets were counted, he was declared the winner, by his count exceeding mine, by about 800 tickets! In total, we had a combined give or take 5300 tickets, with which he could now utilize to "shop" for prizes. With an "All-in" investment of just at $40, including the $5 entry fee for each of us to the NickelRama, he was able to get a tiny rubber eraser, a pair of large foam dice, and a plastic foam ball pop gun. In the end, I considered it money well spent, since the goal of the trip was to spend some quality time out with my grandson. He had fun and I had fun! He was shown that he was valued by my following his lead in our quest. And, he outperformed me in the acquisition of tickets! If you're looking to spend some time with your little ones and you want them to feel good about themselves, a NickelRama can fill that need!
