Before we found Sonrise, even with the AC blaring in our car, it was still super hot in the car. And certainly when we first get in the car, all the touch points were scorching hot. Our toddler would be fussy and upset and complain constantly that her back was hot in the carseat. We searched for window tint companies and found Sonrise. We made a phone call and Steven was quick to answer. He thoroughly gave me an education on the different kinds of materials available and the pros to each material choice. He answered all my questions and concerns and was super accomodating to our schedule since we needed to tint two cars. On the day of the work, he showed us the different shades and explained what it would look like in the evening time with each tint darkness. He helped us pick out the right shade of tint for our cars. And even showed us how the front windshield they use a helpful visual. He tiend on a lught that imitated solar energy. And showed us a meter showing the read. And how with the front windshield tint they use it drastically lowers the solar energy allowed in the car. It's been 4 days since our windows and front and back windshields got tinted. We definitely experience a drastic difference in getting back in a parked car. It is way cooler. My expectations were set during an initial consultation with his wife, but I was never rigid about them. I am a reasonable customer and was fully prepared to adjust to whatever installation method the shop recommended--they are the professionals, not me. I dropped my truck off for headlight PPF after sending photos/videos as requested, spoke with the friendly shop installer, and took a $30 Uber home. Shortly after arriving home, Chris called me with an aggressive tone. I simply asked for his wife's name so I could address her respectfully and reference our prior conversation before adjusting to his recommendation. The second I asked for her name, he immediately snapped, got hostile, refused to give it to me, and barked "that's my wife." When I tried to respond, he insulted me--claiming I had "trouble comprehending and assimilating"--ordered me not to talk over him, and hung up on me before I could even agree to his terms. My follow-up texts were purely me stating what I would have said on the phone had he given me 10 seconds to speak instead of throwing insults and hanging up. When I pointed out that his actions cost me time and Uber fares, he sent a hollow apology, only to turn around and ridiculously claim that I should reimburse him for "not clearly stating expectations." Looking at other low reviews, Chris has a clear pattern of shifting blame and acting defensively when he mismanages a situation. His installers do good work, but his toxic attitude, disrespect, and refusal to admit fault wasted my time and money. Avoid this shop. He will probably respond to this and try and twist the story, but the fact is he has an ego and and doesn't care about potential "small job" customers. He started with the insults and I was cordial, until his empty apology, then I texted with some sass of my own. Never used any profanity, but his response me needing to reimburse him for something made me angry. Other shops told me they don't work on aftermarket headlights, but this shop said they do it all the time, thus I went ahead. One other shop in fact told me they wouldnt bulk wrap them, and 3 others would, but they used standard XPEL, and I preferred Stek. I'm sure his business is successful, and the installers are incredible, but if you are one to support local businesses but expect the owner to have strong fundamental morals, skip this shop.

The following Monday, I contacted NTX Motorworks and authorized them to tow the vehicle from their facility to Caliber Collision. I specifically chose not to have NTX Motorworks repair the vehicle because they were out of network. What followed was an absolutely outrageous experience. NTX Motorworks charged the insurance company $1,500 for a tow. State Farm considered that charge highly excessive and essentially a price gouge, which required additional approvals before payment could be issued. Because of this, the process took more than a week. During that time, NTX Motorworks charged a $135-per-day storage fee, totaling $1,350. They also added a $900 administrative fee and another 3% fee simply for accepting a virtual credit card payment. They refused to accept an ACH payment directly from State Farm. Total bill: $3,750--for a simple tow and storage. And then comes the cherry on top: they lost my daughter's car key.
