NOT who we hired when making this deal. They attempted to collect extra money for brake (they said rust) dust on a new 2025 MB, and other things. We did not appreciate the bait & switch, and the chain of extra charges. Kevin - we assume who actually showed up, did a decent job, other then too much wet tire dressing, that after driving once has flung off and covered our entire vehicles making them dirty again. Working in law enforcement, I require honesty and discretion. Hiring a company, that contracts out my information to another company is not ok. There's more to say, but I'll leave it at that. Why would you leave the reputation in the hands of a completely different company? Don't take a job, if you cannot do it. 1 Star because the pricing was "fair" before they tried getting more: which of course we strongly declined to pay. Never again.

In response to the business reply: PPF failure and rock chip "touch up" can be seen in new photos. I do agree that touch up isn't perfect, but the BEFORE AND AFTER PICS should let you know about their skills. It can be seen that the damage caused is MORE SIGNIFICANT than the rock chip. The clear coat is burned through and repaint is necessary. Update 1 (April 2024): Chris did my ppf and some issues came up with the edges. There were also debris caught in the ppf during installation. There were also knife marks caused during the cutting of the ppf. This can be seen in the pictures as well. Came up with excuses that the film is a new brand. If one can't score the film and not pierce through it and into the clear coat, shouldn't do ppf at all. Update 2 (June 2024): Redid the ppf but edges are still lifting. Ppf failure again...Asked for rock chip repair and he ended up leaving a blob with the clear coat burned through. Attached would be pictures of the rock chip fix and ppf failure. So sick of dealing with this business. A repaint on the hood would cost lots of money at this point. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! It is better to pay more for quality, especially with automotive care.

Before we found Sonrise, even with the AC blaring in our car, it was still super hot in the car. And certainly when we first get in the car, all the touch points were scorching hot. Our toddler would be fussy and upset and complain constantly that her back was hot in the carseat. We searched for window tint companies and found Sonrise. We made a phone call and Steven was quick to answer. He thoroughly gave me an education on the different kinds of materials available and the pros to each material choice. He answered all my questions and concerns and was super accomodating to our schedule since we needed to tint two cars. On the day of the work, he showed us the different shades and explained what it would look like in the evening time with each tint darkness. He helped us pick out the right shade of tint for our cars. And even showed us how the front windshield they use a helpful visual. He tiend on a lught that imitated solar energy. And showed us a meter showing the read. And how with the front windshield tint they use it drastically lowers the solar energy allowed in the car. My expectations were set during an initial consultation with his wife, but I was never rigid about them. I am a reasonable customer and was fully prepared to adjust to whatever installation method the shop recommended--they are the professionals, not me. I dropped my truck off for headlight PPF after sending photos/videos as requested, spoke with the friendly shop installer, and took a $30 Uber home. Shortly after arriving home, Chris called me with an aggressive tone. I simply asked for his wife's name so I could address her respectfully and reference our prior conversation before adjusting to his recommendation. The second I asked for her name, he immediately snapped, got hostile, refused to give it to me, and barked "that's my wife." When I tried to respond, he insulted me--claiming I had "trouble comprehending and assimilating"--ordered me not to talk over him, and hung up on me before I could even agree to his terms. My follow-up texts were purely me stating what I would have said on the phone had he given me 10 seconds to speak instead of throwing insults and hanging up. When I pointed out that his actions cost me time and Uber fares, he sent a hollow apology, only to turn around and ridiculously claim that I should reimburse him for "not clearly stating expectations." Looking at other low reviews, Chris has a clear pattern of shifting blame and acting defensively when he mismanages a situation. His installers do good work, but his toxic attitude, disrespect, and refusal to admit fault wasted my time and money. Avoid this shop. He will probably respond to this and try and twist the story, but the fact is he has an ego and and doesn't care about potential "small job" customers. He started with the insults and I was cordial, until his empty apology, then I texted with some sass of my own. Never used any profanity, but his response me needing to reimburse him for something made me angry. Other shops told me they don't work on aftermarket headlights, but this shop said they do it all the time, thus I went ahead. One other shop in fact told me they wouldnt bulk wrap them, and 3 others would, but they used standard XPEL, and I preferred Stek. I'm sure his business is successful, and the installers are incredible, but if you are one to support local businesses but expect the owner to have strong fundamental morals, skip this shop.
