She has a very natural approach and makes many products herself. My son just needed a trim and I asked her to focus on the hair that covers his face, just a trim. I have been going to her Mai for several years. But this last visit was the last straw. She already has an idea of what she's going to do before you even walk-in . There has been a couple of times that I have gone and she already has " "my" color mixed with out her even consulting me first. So this time I sent her pics of the color extensions I was using and an idea of what I would like. She sends me back a message, we will discuss when I get there. So we go over it and she says I will keep the top darker and do foil on the bottom. I say perfect bc that will match my extensions. As she is cutting my hair she tells me to take off my glasses bc they are in her way. Then says oh can we take off more. Me not wearing glasses I say if it's not too short already. Fast forward to the end after she put the color in and she starts blowing drying my hair. I stop her and say wait I thought you were going to out highlights in bc you said you were going to foil the bottom. She said no your hair is damaged. I'm not going to do that bc it's more work for me and I have to do blah blah blah. I then see how short it is and I said stop stop stop touch my hair. She BUTCHERED my hair. It was past my shoulders and now it barely touches my shoulders. I became very upset and crying because it looks terrible. She starts yelling at me saying she has been doing hair for over 30 years and calling me a damn liar. At this point she says just give me your card I won't ask for a tip. What nerve!!! I rush to my friends house to see the damage and it's worse then I thought. It's uneven and the color is terrible. I call her back and say I want a refund. She says no, I did exactly what you asked me to do. I said no! You did what you wanted to do. I said and you butchered my hair. She said I asked you about the length I said I couldn't see bc you told me to take off my glasses. She is yelling at me again and says well you should have put your DAMN glasses back on!! And if your DAmN extensions were so important you should have brought. I mean she is SCREAMING at me. I said you know what you need to stop cussing at me. She said I didn't cuss. I said this is what you just said. She says I didn't say that. OMG!! My friend is in the back ground hearing everything and Mai didn't know that. My friend said Ma'am you are being really unprofessional I can hear everything you are saying. And that liar was adamant she didn't say it. She is crazy!!! Then she proceeds to tell me, something is wrong with you. There is something wrong with you. You are not yourself today. I kid you not! Now she is a therapist?? Don't go to here. She is unprofessional and talks badly about her clients to other clients. She works out of her dining room and she has these loud dogs that bark constantly. That atmosphere is gross. My ears hurt from her annoying dogs. Now I have to pay more money to get the damage she caused fixed. STAY Away from MAI!!! Also my young daughters went to her once. She yelled at them too for not staying still enough. They begged me to never let them go back there. BEWARE!

The quality of service for the cheap price here is bar none. Unfortunately, Mai's eyesight has gone bad and has since moved back to Vietnam. However, Tammy is excellent and has always left me extremely satisfied with my cut. I get a mens cut as well as my eyebrows waxed for well under $20 and the outcome is great. You can go to Supercuts anywhere and spend $35 for the same cut and wax and it will be very mediocre. The woman knows how to fade!!! If you come here, give Tammy a big tip!
