    Large stain
    Dawn B.

I had a wonderful customer experience with King's Park, until I discovered a few hidden gems. I needed a gown altered for an event I was attending in a little over a week's time. King's Park did exactly as discussed. The only negative was that when I got home and more thoroughly inspected the dress, I noticed that it was burned or otherwise stained in a number of places. I was not informed of this, which is disappointing. I know the stains are from the shop because I thoroughly inspected the gown before dropping it off. There was nothing on it. Plus, the markings are at the areas that were altered, in addition to other areas all around the dress. Due to the color and material, they're visible. I'm not even sure whether the marks can be removed. Not a good practice to not disclose something like this. I arrived after closing (notified them ahead-they were fine with that) and was rushed. They should've taken the time to tell me.

honestly, I would not recommend going here. I was really disappointed in how my wedding dress…read moreturned out. I bought my dress from their bridal shop, which was a lovely experience and I LOVED the dress. I trusted them to tailor the dress they sold me, but they did a poor job. First, they took my dress in and literally made it 1.5 inches to small, it would not even zipper. So then I had to come back and they were trying to put boning in, but it did not look good so then I had to ask for them to take it out. And STILL the dress is too small but they would not listen to me when I asked for it to be slightly bigger. It felt like I was being dismissed and they were really poor at communication. I was hoping for better, especially after all of the good reviews, but it did not live up to the expectations. For how expensive they are, I would spend my money elsewhere.

At the first appt for alterations, she let me tell her what I thought needed to be fixed first before offering her suggestions. She did this bc something she might see as an issue might not even bother me. Overall, it was a good experience and I'm very happy with the outcome. She made me feel like a queen in my dress and I cannot wait to show it off on my wedding day. *Parking: There's plenty of parking out front, and more in the lot across front the store. It is a very busy lot, and sometimes drivers from the Starbucks drive through gets stuck trying to leave. Id recommend that you park closer to the Bonchon. **Will post pictures of before and after, but AFTER my wedding in May! Can't have the fiance seeing any pics anywhere hehe PS the elderly man at the register was the kindest gentlemen ever!

His suit was comfortable, fit just right, and made him look fabulous- what more do you need? We were both very happy with the results and plan to go back!

Hmm, where do I start. I'd give this establishment negative zero stars if it was possible. I came…read moreto the store because a good friend (who lived in Fairfax) past away and I acquired his last suit that he purchased at William T. Clothiers, and I wanted to get it altered for me in his memory. While I was there I decided to get 4 customs shirts made, as my last tailor retired recently. The shirt measurement process was strange from the get go, the owner/tailor Todd put 2 sample shirts in the dressing room. He stated 1 was for tighter fit, and 1 was for a looser fit. But didn't tell which one was which, so I put on the closest one to me. Todd then started asking me about how I wanted the length/width and such and started to measure me. Then we started to go over shirt patterns and fabrics, and I started to pick out patterns/fabrics/cuffs/collars pretty standard stuff. BTW, once this process started I never did try on the other sample shirts and he never mentioned for me to do so. After all the measuring was finished the pricing came, and OMG it was crazy expensive! The 4 shirts came to an average of $323.75 each, wow. All of my suits, jackets, dress pants, and dress shirts in the last 20 years have been custom tailored as I am an oddly shaped person. I know custom clothing is expensive, but the most I've ever paid for a shirt was about $200, but I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered the shirts as I need a closet refresh. After a few days I got a message that 2 of the shirt designs were not available, so I had to basically let Todd pick the new colors/designs. About 4ish weeks later my shirts were ready for pickup, I was excited to see how the expensive shirts looked. When I tried on the 4 shirts, they were so tight that I was really taken aback. It was like his tape measure or eyesight was not working properly, they were so ill fitting. So all 4 shirts had to be completely reorder, and low and behold another color/design was not available again. That makes 3 of the 4 colors/designs picked out ended up unavailable. Well I picked up the 4 shirts yesterday, 5 months after my original order/measurement. Another bothersome thing with this tailor/Todd is that I ended up in that shop approximately 8 times, and Todd was only there 2 times. He as some nice whiskey displayed in the shop, never did he offer any to me. He knew how upset I was, and didn't even have the decency to be present when I finally pick up my shirts yesterday. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this tailor, there are so many tailors to choose from in the DC area to deal with this tailors crazy high prices, and awful customer service. The shirts are good quality, but this quality can be had for half the price.

When I first received my dress, the neckline looked way different from when I tried on the store sample - Chi took a look at the original pics I had, and helped get the neckline back to the look I loved. In addition to the alterations, which were masterfully done, Chi offered some much appreciated wedding day wisdom that covered little details I would have missed otherwise. I would recommend Chi to any and every bride in the area. She does phenomenal work, and is such a sweet person!
