I've got to say it is not what I was expecting. I thought it was more like a "fast food" version of Indian cuisine from the outside. It had been several years since I had been to a good Indian restaurant - I live in LA where good Indian food isn't evenly dispersed throughout the region - so I was excited to try something while staying in Solon. The restaurant did feel empty on. Tuesday night, but I think this is mostly because it was, well, Tuesday, and most restaurants seem to be Uber and Door Dash hubs now. But the server was super kind and friendly, in sort of a mothering way, inviting us to sit down and bringing out warm pappadam to eat with chutneys. It was great! I had a hot chai, and my coworkers enjoyed some icy mango lassis. I ordered channa masala, medium spicy, and it was certainly spicy and delicious. Heaps of basmati came out with it, as well as a sampler of pakoras and samosas with some fluffy chewy naan. The meal was fantastic, and the service felt very personal. We had been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally stopped in on a Friday evening around 8pm. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant. We ordered the lamb vindaloo spice level 2 and the chicken tikka masala spice level 1 with garlic naan. Both dishes were good but spicier than we expected. I was able to eat my tikka but it definitely had a kick I didn't really want. The naan was tasty. I see that they offer a lunch buffet - I wish they also offered this at dinner. The servers were kind but told us they needed to close and asked us to settle up our bill while we were still eating. We went to this place after finding our initial Indian restaurant choice was closed. I was very impressed by the smell that hits you soon as you enter the door, just a wave of spices, so incredible. We started with the Puri and chick pea dish that was so flavorful and filling all by itself. It comes with a portion of the chick pea warm salad type dish, and two large puri. Both were freshly fried, warm, and just packed with flavor. I ordered a medium spice buttered chicken and my wife another chicken dish. My butter chicken was thinly sliced and just incredible. The sauce was sweet with just a bit of spice and so amazing. I whipped the dish clean with my double order of garlic naan(also freshly made and so flavorful. My wife chicken was definitely white meat, cut into larger square chunks, and not as pleasing as my dish. It was in a light sauce with vegetables and still very good. The flavors here are amazing but the portions way too small for my liking. I was full, from the naan and rice but the portion of chicken was probably 4 ounces at best. If I were served a more reasonable dinner portion, say 8 ounces, this place would be five stars easily. read more

New restaurant that recently opened in the old Nobu Tei spot serving Indian, Thai, Sushi... First impression; very clean inside, friendly service. The place was only at about half-capacity when three of us stopped in on a Friday night, but it was still early in the evening (before 6pm). The menu is EXTENSIVE- so many things to choose from I would suggest looking at it on their website beforehand. The food arrived relatively quickly- two of us ordered hibachi dinners which came with soup, salad, and a choice of fried rice or noodles. The sushi fan in our group got the Spicy Salmon Roll and the Moon Fire Roll which yes, arrives at the table on fire. Everything was very good. The only downside was the service which may be a factor of the recent opening or just plain under-staffing. There was a good deal of confusion around the room with dishes and bills being delivered to the wrong tables. There was little or no follow up with guests about drink refills. After we let the server know that we were ready for the bill it took another 10 minutes to check out. So much food to try- we will definitely check in again! Hopeful that next time they have ironed out some of the kinks in the service. read more

It wasn't flavorful, it wasn't delicious, it was throw away the leftovers because you won't eat anymore, but you have to eat some because you paid for it okay. The medium didn't have much kick if at all and the veggie korma was really thick with a lot of peas. I mixed the two together just to see if it would make the meal better and it actually helped, but it was still meh. Maybe my expectations are high when it comes to ethnic foods that are cooked with various spices for robust flavor because this...nah. Very good! We got takeout from kings tandoor and were very pleased with the food! We ordered garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, and mutter paneer. Chicken tikka was my favorite of our order. I thought the prices were good as well!! They have mostly vegetarian options, but do have a few meat entrees as well. I know it sounds trite, but this place had amazing food! We have been looking for a new Indian restaurants since moving here 12 years ago. The previous local champion was saffron patch, but this place took the crown in one visit. Wife and I each have a favorite dish that we put up against the previous favorite spots. Chicken tikka masala was so creamy that I couldn't stop eating it. I wasn't even hungry when we walked in the door, but I ate the entire dish and all the rice. My wife gets chicken biryani, and she said it was the best by far as well. The garlic naan was scalding hot and so freaking creamy too. So by the end of this meal, no food remained and we were discussing if this place was the all-time winner globally (no, we've never had Indian food in India...yet) and it may actually have beaten out all other Indian joints before it. Every customer walking out of the place as we ate was complementing them, and a guy staying at the hotel next door said that he is from Boston but eats there every chance he gets when he's in town. This restaurant is just confused and doesn't know what it wants to be. There seems to be two totally different menus that don't connect one being Indian and one being Thai. I went in right at noon for lunch and chose to try the Indian buffet. To my disappointment the buffet had been picked over and was never refilled in the entire hour plus time we were there.
