    Amazing jerk chicken lunch
    Amy J.

Amazing jerk chicken lunch! Definitely a Worcestershire based jerk sauce with about a 4/10 spice ievel. Fantastically juicy two drumsticks and thigh in my meal so not a bunch of extra bones which I love. The flavor was fantastic and charred in so well without any dryness at all. This was over a bed of rice and peas (black beans here I believe) and a side of some sort of cabbage/slaw. The fried dumplings were basically large wheat flour dense kinda sorta dry hush puppies without any spice. The banana pudding was there but kinda thick and more fluff than pudding which wasn't bad flavor wise just a bit dense and almost too "dry" in texture to be considered a pudding. Nothing bad. Get the jerk chicken!

I got the oxtail plate with jerk chicken on the side.

As a born and raised Jamaican I can attest that the food tastes great and the portion is good to serve for two days if you not greedy lol. Great service

This was the next day as I didn't get a chance to take it on the day purchased. No flavors even sat in overnight.

The jerk chicken was ok. Zero on the spice level, however. Dumbed-down for Americans, I think.

I ordered online to the wrong restaurant and they completely refunded my money when I called about it. So I liked that right off the bat. We then ordered to go at this location. I really loved the place. It had a really fun atmosphere and everyone was so nice. I forgot the name of our cashier/bartender but he was fantastic! Now the good part. We ordered a strawberry yuzu frozen margarita while we waited which was delicious. We started with the queso chorizo dip which was also very good. The chorizo is homemade and I wish it had a little more flavor but we finished it, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I ordered a prime time taco which was super good. I loved all the flavors. I also had a vegetarian bowl with lemon kale & the chili tofu. It was SO good! It was fresh and something different. My fiancée had the carne asada burrito and his biggest complaint was too many peppers. I would recommend this place! I really enjoyed it and the people there really made a difference.

It wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a decent find--especially if you're in the mood for creative tacos. We arrived well after the lunch rush and there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but unfortunately they never made it to the table. When our food arrived and I asked about them, our waitress admitted she had forgotten to write it down. The food also seemed to take a bit longer than expected considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Because of that, the service was a little underwhelming. That said, the tacos themselves were the highlight of the visit. I ordered three of the smaller tacos, but they packed a lot of flavor. My picks were The Yoda, The Love Shack, and The Filthy Fajita--all creative and really well done. Small in size, but definitely big on flavor. Overall, the food was solid, but the service could use some improvement. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see this being a good happy hour spot to grab tacos and drinks with friends.

It's night and day from this location in South Euclid. This location opened fairly recently in 2023, which is not too new to have such a terrible experience. I walked in and was greeted, which was promising. I reviewed the menu, selected my previous favorite, and was ready to order. The employee working on someone else's burrito, told me to step by "Order Here" sign multiple times. I wasn't able to advance anywhere near the cash register. She then said something completely unclear multiple times and kept up wrapping her burrito. No "I'll be right with you," just mumbling. A second associate then joined her behind the counter. They then proceeded to socialize with each other and completely ignored me. There was no attempts to take my order, complete checkout, or anything. There was no estimated wait time. I'm almost certain that no customer will hang out at the burrito place all afternoon hoping to place an order. Finally I asked whether I can place an order. Both associates looked at me with surprise like it's an unusual question. Even after asking there was zero progress made with starting my order. I decided that this is my cue to understand that I'm unwelcome and leave. While the concept of beach-inspired Mexican cuisine with tropical flavors is fun, it's not fun enough to wait forever for. I won't be stopping in again. I'm sharing this experience in hopes of other customers receiving a more courteous experience.

When I visited for a late lunch in September 2026, I had to walk around the back of the strip mall and enter the restaurant from the back. That was weird, but oh well! I didn't have to wait for a table and was seated in a solo diner table that was sticky to the extreme. Now that's how you know it's legit haha! Anyway, I wasn't too hungry but was hoping to get something nice and authentic. Okay, so I didn't get the most authentic item, but I tried! I got the chicken fajitas ($16) which provided me with enough food for lunch and dinner. I also recieved free chips and salsa. I needed to add salt to the chips. Now even though the food was good, the service was not. My water was filled once, 5 minutes after I ordered it, and never filled again until I walked up to the hostess table and asked for a refill. I also only got one flimsy napkin. And had to wait a REALLY long time for my bill. I couldn't afford anything on the Peruvian part of the menu, sadly. I wish they had some offerings under $15 on that part of the menu, even if it is a small portion of food. I do recommend Las Americas for those looking for authentic food and for those wishing to speak Spanish to their servers. I understand Spanish but have a mental block when speaking it from forming my own sentences. So I did enjoy practicing my Spanish a bit from listening to others!

This time, I brought my family along for lunch, and it did not disappoint! We took advantage of their happy hour specials, which included half-off pizzas, select appetizers, and drinks. We started with the Street Corn Nachos and added grilled chicken. They were absolutely incredible--easily some of the best nachos we've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and every bite was delicious. We also ordered the whipped feta, which was simply divine and a must-try. For our entrées, one person ordered the pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. I had the sausage pasta, which was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light while still being incredibly satisfying. The third entrée was the Thai noodles , and it was another hit. Everyone commented on how fresh and well-prepared their meal was. The service, as always, was impeccable. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. What really stands out about this restaurant is the teamwork. Everyone pitches in, whether it's bringing out food, clearing plates, or noticing your water glass is getting low. It doesn't matter if they're your server or not--they make sure you're taken care of, and that level of hospitality really makes a difference. The restaurant is also spotless, and I love that the open kitchen allows you to watch the team preparing the food. It adds to the overall experience and shows how much care goes into every dish. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, this place consistently delivers. Great food, outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a beautiful space make this one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland area.
