It's way more "manageable" than bigger H-E-Bs, & while they might not have the obscure organics or artisanal offerings of a Central Market or other H-E-B's, this store is a hidden gem. The shelves are always stocked, the aisles are always clear, & the associates are always happy & quick to help. I pretty much know where everything is, but the few times I've wandered aimlessly looking for something, fellow shoppers -- mostly older & wiser -- have helped me find whatever it is I'm hunting down. I've always preferred small grocery stores to large ones, & I really have a soft spot for this one. Maybe because I grew up in the area, or maybe I just like how leisurely a shopping trip here is; I enjoy my time spent here, & I think it's a nice change of pace from the Walmarts & Targets of the world. A pro-tip: the H-E-B app is a great help for a store as condensed as this one (& any H-E-B in general). It tells you aisle by aisle if they have something you want in stock, so you can save time, gas, & energy if you need something in a pinch.

Took my car to Walmart service dept in Seguin Tx to get an oil change, new wiper blades and…read morepossibly buy new tires. Car was there for 3 hours only to find out they didnt do anything. They canceled everything because supposedly there was no threads on the drain plug. Took it to Take 5 in New Braunfels Oil quickly changed. Tires still going down so I now feel that they just added air and didn't actually check the tires for leaks. Be wary if they tell you something is wrong with your vehicle. Very unprofessional and will never take my car back there. Disgusted and disgruntled. Update: after I got the oil changed I went to discount tire down the road. They found (and i saw it with my own two eyes) a bubble on the front tire. So the employees did not check the tires like they said. Both front tires needed to be replaced. Do better Walmart!! And for the record this happened on 5/25/26.

If you don't know, now you know. Although Samosa's similar to empenadas, or other patties can all have varied ingredients, these are an Indian all veggies and spice samosa, mostly potatoe based with a amazing flake crust. I have had the good fortune to have worked in Seguin for many years and this is one of those many hidden gems of the town. I was like, "Um, ok, what's that about?" I got home and looked it up. I found out it was Texan company. Then I decided I wanted to visit the biggest Buc-ee's in the Lone Star State. We landed in San Antonio and rented a car. Thankfully it didn't have a California license plate. We drove to Luling on our way to Austin. We pulled into the Buc-ee's parking lot. We saw the gas prices. Gas in Texas is more affordable than Washington State. Took a photo with the metal critter in front of the entrance then made our way into the store. Spacious, busy. Bathroom was clean. We picked up some brisket sandwiches and some sodas. Food is more affordable in Texas. We also bought some souvenirs to take back home including a red shirt with the beaver.
