It's way more "manageable" than bigger H-E-Bs, & while they might not have the obscure organics or artisanal offerings of a Central Market or other H-E-B's, this store is a hidden gem. The shelves are always stocked, the aisles are always clear, & the associates are always happy & quick to help. I pretty much know where everything is, but the few times I've wandered aimlessly looking for something, fellow shoppers -- mostly older & wiser -- have helped me find whatever it is I'm hunting down. I've always preferred small grocery stores to large ones, & I really have a soft spot for this one. Maybe because I grew up in the area, or maybe I just like how leisurely a shopping trip here is; I enjoy my time spent here, & I think it's a nice change of pace from the Walmarts & Targets of the world. A pro-tip: the H-E-B app is a great help for a store as condensed as this one (& any H-E-B in general). It tells you aisle by aisle if they have something you want in stock, so you can save time, gas, & energy if you need something in a pinch.

On Superbowl Sunday morning, I had a blowout on a tire and dropped off just the tire since I had put on the spare. Unfortunately, when I dropped it off, I didn't tell them it was going to need a new tire, so the person who took it wrote it up as a repair. When I showed up to pick it up, the tire wasn't fixed. They had to get the Team Lead, Jon, to help me. After hearing from me, he helped me pick a tire, checked me out, and then personally put on the tire on my rim. He helped me, even though I was the one who had made the mistake at dropoff. I just wanted to share how thankful I was for the level of service I received. It was above and beyond the call of duty.

Although Samosa's similar to empenadas, or other patties can all have varied ingredients, these are an Indian all veggies and spice samosa, mostly potatoe based with a amazing flake crust. I have had the good fortune to have worked in Seguin for many years and this is one of those many hidden gems of the town. I did buy 3 of their small cup size Blue Bell dark chocolate ice cream- for all of us but the cashier gave only one spoon. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. I like the large amount of clean restroom stalls plus soap. The cone of warmed sugary pecans and cinnamon bites were a sweet snack- finally gone from the first Buc-ee's a week ago. The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag.
