The contract is a full of requirements for us, many related to items beyond our control like where wires or roots are. Despite our worries about the contract, we signed it. At 2:30, after waiting for his return, I called him and when returning my call, he praised himself for returning my call. He returned but left again after only about an hour of "work ". He came back and was working when several members of his family came to help him. We were not informed about this. Also, the plan was that he would work both Saturday and Sunday. Instead, the family work until 9 pm. It was dark and I couldn't really see his/their work. One of his trips away from this job was to pick up cedar for covering the ground around the plants. He bought too much and it doesn't look or smell like cedar. Today, I am shoveling, pushing the wheelbarrow back and forth to places around the yard, and trying to spread the mulch. We hired him but that was a mistake. Make sure you read every word of the contract and that you ask for the last part about payment before you sign his contract.
