Obviously KGB ignores the "dress code" they post for their private parties.
    Rachel N.

Recently I attended a private Saturday party at KGB and was upset both by the behavior of the patrons, as well as the staff both indoors and at the door. One of of the things that caught my attention was as I was getting in line, a woman who was basically wearing nothing but a thong and high heels was also in line. Frankly, a picture does speak a thousand words, and she was indecently exposed in public (please see photo). KGB let her right in. Also, I observed several men leaving the line to urinate against the wall of J.J. Foley's and then get back in line and enter KGB. Once inside, it didn't get much better. The party was supposed to be a fun dance party, but it was anything but fun -- the crude language, several near fights by drunken men -- the woman in the photo got a ton of their attention -- and obscene things said to me and my friends drove us out. I have two words for anyone thinking about going to one of KGB's private weekend parties: Stay away! I would not be surprised to hear that the police end up getting called to one of these parties. KGB will be a shock to anyone who enjoyed coming to the previous place there, Kingston Station.

This is Matt.. at least that's what he told me his name was.

I am a FEMALE & I do security for a living and I have concerns about the fact that this place has an ALL MALE SECURITY STAFF. They do not have ANYONE at the door TO SEARCH FEMALES FOR PROHIBITED ITEMS. I am making a point to comment on my experience at this establishment and hopefully after reading this, management will take the necessary steps to remove some of the people they have working there. This place isn't just a restaurant, they have events on the weekends with a dj and dancefloor. I decided to come here yesterday with a friend hoping to have a good time like I always do. This was not the case. I want to first make you aware that some of the bouncers/staff there are very rude and very aggressive. One in particular, MATT. This man was able to walk into the WOMENS bathroom unannounced, and assumed I was apart of words being exchanged between 2 females. He appeared to be intoxicated, he was following me around and even grabbed me up! When I tried to talk to this man privately he became even more aggressive without asking any questions about the situation or letting me explain. He continued push up on me making me feel very uncomfortable! He then got up in my face began pointing his finger yelling at me to "Get the F*** out." He was standing in the way keeping me from grabbing my things, he then put his hands around me preventing me from walking away. I had to throw my hands in the air to show I was not resisting because I saw other security staff approaching us. When I was finally able to explain my side to another bouncer, Matt continued to approach me in an aggressive manner where I had to back up several times to give us some distance because I did feel threatened and I said it several times. Multiple people witnessed this including the big black bald bouncer who did nothing!!! After all of this, I decided I wanted Matt's information to file a complaint with the owner. I asked other staff members who refused to give me any information. One bouncer even blew me off and walked away when he witnessed everything that happened. I won't be returning here, and if I were the owner I'd think about hiring more female staff who are more than qualified to handle these kinds of situations to avoid women from feeling like they are being violated when they go out to have a good time. I am very traumatized by the situation. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Came and had a great meal. The crab cakes were awesome, buttery and very rich. I had the spaghetti and clams and my friend had the crab pasta special. We were both pretty happy with our meals. It was a little salty, but I loooove salt, so I was ok with it. Cocktails were fresh and tasty. I felt like it was pretty well balanced. Service was friendly, but not amazing. Ambience was about the same. Overall, I would go again.

After a 4-hour train ride from New York to Boston, the boyfriend and I were famished. A quick Yelp search brought us to Kingston Grille, located only a few blocks away from South Station. And although I was initially impressed by the contemporary tavern interior, their food and drinks did not meet my expectations. The truffle fries were barely cooked with zero crisp, my red sangria was watered down heavily, and the BQQ pulled pork sandwich contained far too much vinegar in its sauce. It also took our waitress over 15 minutes to find change for a $100 bill.

But I'm actually writing about the company's website and phone recording. Once, on a prior holiday, and today due to a winter storm, I wasn't sure if the restaurant was open. In both cases (where the restaurant turned out to be closed), the website (appropriately) didn't allow online orders, and (more importantly) THE OUTGOING PHONE RECORDING WAS UPDATED WITH CURRENT INFORMATION. In an era where businesses barely have phone numbers to call, or employees who answer with something other than 'hello', is rare (and by the way, this is the fault of management if they don't properly train their staff). THANK YOU FOR HAVING YOUR SHIT TOGETHER IN COMMUNICATING YOUR HOURS TO THE PUBLIC. I, for one, appreciate it.

It was the gold standard for a real sandwich in the city. Sadly, the magic has faded. Between the soaring prices and the shrinking portions, the value just isn't there anymore. You can taste the "corner-cutting"--the flavors aren't as bold as they used to be, and the sandwiches feel noticeably smaller even though the cost has increased exponentially - I mean $30 for a sammy?! It should have gold in it! Even then, I'd keep coming once in awhile if the service was worth it. but honestly - the staff seems burnt out even bright early in the morning. It's hard to justify the premium price for a shadow of what this place used to be.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

They're quick counter service and serve a few simple items for breakfast and lunch, mostly sandwiches. So far I've had the pastrami egg sub and the yahoo sandwich. They're both good, but I'd have to say the yahoo is the winner so far as far as the sandwiches go. You can order online, which is a big plus for me and it's very easy to customize items through the online ordering portal. I also happen to really like their iced coffee, too. It's nice to see that there are still simple, no frills spots that execute good tasing food at a reasonable price, and Archie's is definitely one of those spots.
