10/30/25 Thursday. Came here today for an early lunch. Haven't been here since a decade ago it's been remodeled it's so bright and clean and modernized! When I came here it was dark and dime lit. The place was clean welcoming and the staff was friendly! I got an order of the fish and chips and coleslaw, instead of fries I got onion rings. The fish was cooked perfectly it wasn't oily and the fish was not made with a heavy batter it was a balanced amount. The onion rings also cooked excellent fresh tasting and both dishes tasted like they used fresh grease not day old. My server was attentive, friendly busy, but always kept an eye out if I needed anything! Great customer service! For dessert got the key lime pie. Great tasting dessert cake was moist rich frosting but not to sweet. Very please with everything the service and the food will definitely come back to try more in the menu! This might be the best spot in Boston. After a long weekend of Baseball at Fenway, and football at Boston College. We found this Victoria's. It was clean, (very clean) friendly and most of all it was delicious. We got more food than we could eat, prices were reasonable. 5 Stars recommended. read more

Victoria's Diner has been a staple in the city. They have a reliable breakfast, which is decent. It's an old school diner style and typically packed. My friend liked his eggs & cakes and my egg + cheese breakfast sandwich on thick sourdough toast was good. The eggs did not fill up the whole sandwich though. Had a fun breakfast here with my daughter and our friend. We were looking for a place we could enjoy which had some parking, since it was our last stop before heading back to NJ. This place was pretty close to our hotel. It's a fun, retro diner, that perfect combination of old grunge and great food. We parked, sat down and were able to order right away. I had a Belgian waffle. My daughter had a strawberry banana smoothie and the Rehab: two eggs, bacon and pancakes. She said it was all delicious. My friend had eggs, corned beef hash and a side of grits. Everything was great, we enjoyed everything and we had a blast. Being able to pay from your phone by scanning a QR code was good, too. *** 11/2019 *** A seasonal specials sheet caught my eye. The Pumpkin Bisque with smoke gouda $5.99 bowl was savory tasty rich, but served lukewarm instead of hot. Both Victoria's Hangover Burger $13.99 (8 oz Angus beef patty topped with a fried egg, smoked bacon, American cheese, smother with black pepper maple syrup aioli) and Victoria's Breakfast Sandwich $10.99 (2 fried eggs, melted pepper jack cheese, famous turkey hash, topped with chipotle mayo) were served on a jumbo English muffin. Both were pretty good. I was just bummed that somehow I always seem to end up with the short end of the stick with my portion of french fries, which by the way, was terrific on this visit. Off the regular menu, the breakfast burrito (shaved sirloin with two scrambled eggs, peppers, onions and pepper jack cheese $10.49) was missing something. It just wasn't particularly well flavored, and the beef came out a bit tough. The portion sufficed though. *** 12/2019 *** New seasonal specials sheet, though there wasn't one on our table, so I borrowed the one I spotted at an empty table not too far away. Two of us ended up sharing two of the specials: Shashuka $14.99 This famous breakfast dish from Israel is a delicious mix of 2 poached eggs, smothered with mozzarella and gouda cheese, in a homemade tomato sauce spiced with onions, garlic, cilantro and paprika... Served with a side of toast and homefries or hash browns. Huevos Rancheros $14.99 This famous breakfast dish from Mexico is a delicious mix of 2 eggs any style, served with avocado, black beans, cilantro, topped with salsa and shredded cheddar on a corn tortilla. Another friend later commented that traditionally, shashuka is vegetarian, the eggs are cooked in the tomato sauce, and there is no cheese in it. Victoria's may not have been traditional, but somehow the mix with the potato cubes found beneath the gooey saucy cheese with lovely bits of onion and unannounced yet welcome basil leaves was quite tasty, rich, and filling. The other dish was enjoyed by our resident vegetarian. Visually, it was a bit deconstructed a plating, with the tortillas arriving the form of two folded tortilla shells, which we found out could be swapped out for pita upon request. I made myself a breakfast tortilla with my shell. Of the two, I preferred the Shashuka, but if recollections serve me well, I think I may revisit Victoria's Breakfast Sandwich sooner, if it continues to remain on their special roster. *** 1/2020 *** Guess the hash browns were short lived. They weren't offered on this visit when a bunch of ordered omelettes for lunch. The breakfast potatoes were quite good, and they filled the New Market Veggie $10.99 (minus the jalapenos please) quite well with crisp firm vegetables, which made it feel like a sensible healthy option. A DC however wasn't crazy about the sweetened marinade used in their fried chicken. Even though the steak tips in my Victoria's Steak Sandwich on Ciabatta $11.99 came north of the requested medium rare, the meat was still quite pleasantly tender. I've been hankering lately to give their French Toast a try, and only recently realized that their Eggs & Cakes $8.99 come with either pancakes OR french toast ($5.99 a la carte for 2 pieces) with 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes or grits, and choice of toast. I visited this diner on a Sunday and from the moment we walked in, I could smell the goodness in the place! My friend and I went around 11AM and were seated immediately. I had the Spanish omelette and added apple sausage to it with a side of breakfast potatoes (pictured below). I really enjoyed it. The omelette ingredients were good and the chef was generous with the chicken sausage! I asked for hot sauce on the side, hoped for sriracha, but the options were Franks and Tabasco. Only real draw back is that my utensils weren't all the way clean and the booth we sat in had duck tape in it that was rising and damaged my pants a bit. Victoria's Diner this is a great place It was opened in 1947 and it appears to be all original inside it's like stepping back in time. The waitresses are always pleasant and Swift with a refill on your coffee. The hashbrowns are to die for awesome eggs and omelettes and if you're in the mood for pastry they have a seven layer cake a couple different flavors I Saw chocolate and I also saw carrot which looks amazing but it's enough for 2 to 3 people just a slice. They do have takeout but with all Diners, much better if you dine in. The restaurant is clean and tidy for being well outdated but the ambience is fantastic. Went here for a breakfast on Friday morning while in Boston visiting our daughters. I picked Victoria's because we hadn't been there before, they had off street parking and it was another area that we hadn't explored yet. Our server was outstanding. She was prompt to take our order but never made us feel rushed. On top of refills for the coffee and checked in periodically to ask if we needed anything. They offer quite a vast selection, which included many omelettes and Benedict's, plus all of the usual breakfast fare. My better half had the stuffed french toast, which she raved about and the portion size allowed her to take half home for a snack during the weekend. I had a short stack of pancakes with two over easy eggs and the homemade corned beef hash. Everything was very tasty and done to perfection except for the hash was a bit dry. I used to come here a lot under the previous owner a year ago and although the space was worn, it had character. There was a cozy vibe and TVs on both sides of the bar to keep you entertained during the wait. And although there was an effort to keep the spirit of service by keeping some the prior wait staff, there was not enough people to sufficiently staff the diner. Historically, they'd stop by the table, ask how we were doing, and refill our drinks and this time we didn't get any of that. The menus organization took a couple of glances to understand and the prices are higher for less food. The seasoning was lesser and my steak instead of the old well seasoned tips was a wet puck. I can appreciate the updated bones of the restaurant but the actual food and experience was all around worse, and thats a shame because I want to enjoy a place Ive went to for a long time. I'm open to change but the essence of what made this place on my favorites is gone. read more

They say homemade, but definitely not a family secret recipe or anything. Create Your Own Omelette with mushroom, onion and cheddar. Fluffy. Good. Raisin toast was a nice option to see on the menu. Breakfast potatoes again were better than most diners. The "No Meat" Basic. Poached eggs were nice. Their hash browns were seasoned very well. The food was good. Despite adding hot sauce, it was still quite bland. The staff brought it out in about 5-10 minutes of ordering. I also got a strawberry milkshake but it wasn't the best. Real old time diner. When you walk in it looks pretty small but there is another dining room in the back. There is a small parking lot on the side but plenty of free parking across the street. There is a typical huge diner menu with breakfast,lunch, and dinner items. Dishes we ordered included: Smoked Salmon Platter-I would usually only order this in a Jewish deli but it was adequate Tuna Melt-good Banana Bread French Toast-definitely different. A sweet treat with fresh bananas on top. Deconstructed-Basically everything. Eggs, grits, pancakes, ham, sausage, and bacon. The eggs were perfectly prepared over medium but everything else was pretty weak. The bacon was really fatty and not crisp. The grits were not creamy and had no flavor. The pancakes were awful. They were flat, lukewarm, and flat as a board. I would not call the service warm and fuzzy but it was efficient. We were in and out fairly quickly. The hollandaise sauce was almost translucent...no flavor, eggs were over cooked, hash tasted like cat food - no exaggeration here; for 18 bucks I was shocked. Pancakes were burnt and dry and they only give you a very tiny cup of syrup. For the price I was shocked. Also, the seating was terrible. If you are a bigger person, which I am average size, you will not fit in the booths. I had trouble and I'm not a bigger person. No foot room under the table either, very uncomfortable seating. Victoria's Diner is something of an institution. Around for decades, it's a great local diner with a large menu selection. I went with a few friends, and we all ordered from the breakfast menu. I ordered the eggs and cakes - a HUGE portion of eggs, pancakes, home fries, and toast. It was tasty, and again - huge. I couldn't finish, but not for lack of trying. My friends ordered the Southern eggs Benedict and the breakfast burger. They were both very happy. Our server was efficient and lovely. The food came out quickly, and she was always ready to refill our coffee. The prices at Victoria's are more expensive than I typically like to pay at a diner, but I expect it's due to its popularity. Nasty service steal food everything tasted like it is at least a week old... On a group of four adults they made us pay 18% gratuity (we normally leave 20%) but forcing never feels good. The young waitress, who has tattoo on her left hand, (I guess she is the manager) is rude. She said no to us to be sited at the table near the window instead of the one next to the rest room. I asked she "why? A lot of available tables near the windows, why we can't sit there?" She said rudely that "it is closed" even though I don't see any close signs. The old waitress, who serves us, moved us to the better table, but the rude waitress looked at us with her rude attitude, said some rude things and shook her head. But then she let her customers sit near the window. I like this place with good food and price, I also like the other employees, especially the old lady. I would recommend people to come here, but I want to speak up to the owners of this place about the rude waitress, so she can learn to be better, and I hope all customers should be treated politely and fairly. read more

The other side made me feel like we had stepped into the 1950s. I was waiting for James Dean to serve us. But then I realized...James Dean serves no one. Our waitress was dope by the way. She realized 3/6 in our group was from NJ and got hyped. The whole time we were in Boston, we were the loudest out of everyone in a building at any given time. NJALLDAY. On to the food....my goodness. The only things over $9.99 were in the dinner section. Everything else was underneath that. There's only one thing that is $9.99 and one thing that is $8.99. Everything else was beneath that. I gotta say, there's only FOUR things that are $7.99...and everything else is beneath THAT. It's not a small menu either. It's an amazing menu. Some of us had breakfast, some of us had lunch. It was all ****ing amazing. Each bite felt like the sun coming out after a long dark winter. After eating I looked up the menu on my Droid (ANDROIDALLDAY) cuz I'm high tech like that and the menus were gone. I ordered an Oreo milkshake for $5.49. BANGIN'. OREOSALLDAY. First off, F Dominic T's review. Clearly a very nasty person with no friends. Ok, now for my review. As you can see from my previous review of Victoria 's, I am a very long-standing fan of this place. Now that my husband and I are fully vaccinated, there was no question that Victoria's diner would be the first breakfast out since this horrible pandemic started. They just reopened for dining in three weeks ago. They are perfectly set up for Covid safety. My husband had the Rehab and I had the diner burger. All of it absolutely delicious!
