They tried cleaning it multiple times (explains all the random stains), and when confronted, they said they just need more time to clean. After several trips, several alterations, and several cleanings later... A review is due. Just to give an overview, I've had jeans and pants done here. I'd say a good 6-7 pairs. I've had some of the hems kept and some of them not. The price for not keeping the original hem is $12 and to keep it's $18. Dress pants is $10, no cuff. The turn around time is about a week or so. I usually do jeans and it seems as though they are clean and pressed after the alterations for the same price. But this last time I brought in pants, they charged for both the alteration and cleaning. Seemed like they just tacked on the cleaning charge on top of the alteration charge this time around. Generally though, they do a pretty decent job on the alterations. Dry cleaning is a little bit more expensive, close to $3 per shirt but maybe that's due to their "organic" ways? The dry cleaning usually takes the average few days but you can request same day or sooner for a little bit more. I can't seem to remember the price to have it expedited. If you're cleaning a lot of shirts and don't really care much for the whole "organic" thing, I say take the shirts to Zips or another local cleaner that is cheaper and possibly gives a discounted price for bringing in over a certain number of shirts. I guess my gripe is that they aren't really friendly. I've been going here for the past couple of months. My pants and shirts weren't just big load drop offs. I'd say I frequent 4-6 times a month, including drop offs and pick ups. I get the same straight face with no recognition of who I am each and every time I come in. Not even a smile. I definitely don't expect them to remember my phone number or name or anything but a small recognition of "Hey, I remember you, how are you?" would be nice. For a smaller sized Cleaner, I figured they would possibly be more friendly to their customers. The reason I keep going here is because of location convenience. I have moved onto another cleaner for my bulk dry clean drop offs. Slowly trying to find another alteration place after their strange and mysterious ways of pricing the alterations after this last time and just their lack of a smile. Overall not bad, but I am sure there is better... Alterations, price and friendlier. read more

I tried this place b/c I got a coupon card. For the first trip, I brought in 4 sweaters and 8 trousers. The good stuff: They supposedly use organic solvents. And instead of sticking plastic things or safety pins through your clothing, they use paper loops. This is nice because nothing gets stuck through the fabric of your clothing. The bad stuff: When I picked up the clothing, all of the trousers had a TON of hair on them - both animal hair and people hair. If lint-rolling isn't part of the process, it should be. I have never had this much hair on my clothing from other dry cleaners. The second problem was that one of the trousers had areas near the front belt loops that were lighter than the rest of the pants. One side even had defined lines right where you would fold the trousers for the front crease. I think this was due to the ironing process. One woman even denied seeing the problem, while the other two admitted that they saw it. All were unapologetic. They attempted to clean it again twice. It got a little better, but is still visible. I gave up arguing with them. Please, may I PAY you to mess up my pants?! I'm kinda stuck going here for a few more trips since I paid for the coupon card. At least Zips washed my clothing correctly for a year before messing up. read more

Update: A judge said that he believes Janice at Kingstowne Cleaners called me the n-word but he couldn't do much since there was a small reasonable doubt because her lawyers argued that she doesn't speak English. Which is odd because she spoke English on the phone and when I went into the store. They claimed to have video but conveniently no sound. Kingstowne Cleaners is cheaper than their immediate-closest competitor. However, their customer service is inadequate -- a bit rude over the phone, and weirdly brusque and poorly communicative in person -- and we're pretty sure they put a hole in a pair of pants we had dry cleaned at their location. Crest Cleaners is more expensive, but their customer service is far better. They also pick up and drop off your clothes. read more

I haven't had many cleaners that tried to be accommodating, usually get the immediate "we can't do that" response and attitude. It's refreshing to have good service these days. Extremely poor customer service. They lost my suit pants an told me that I dropped only the jacket. When I complained they told me that they "have a video". When I asked to see the video they rejected and told me that the are going to look again for the pants and call me. Of course, they never call me.I wont go again and look for other store. read more

My wife and I've been coming here for years. We've had some seriously traumatic problems with dry cleaners in the past - expensive clothes ruined, lost, stolen, etc, you name it. So you can imagine our relief to find this local germ of dry cleaners! They're open 6 days a week from early in the morning to 7:30 pm and they are great with quick turnaround. They are always friendly and courteous, they always do an amazing job! They are not super cheap, but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for - my wife and I are willing to pay for superior services. I would definitely recommend Kingstowne Cleaners. read more

Have tried these guys many times before and left every time disappointed so I wanted to try one more time. For the last year or so I've brought my stuff. I have a lot of shirts and suits. Every other time there was something wrong with the clothes. They would re run at no charge. Then they charged me 75 for a table cloth. They never gave me a discount and shirts are 1.90. The quality of the cleaning is poor. Shirts are not bright white. Bottom line : they are not very good and are extremely expensive. read more

BE VERY AWARE! Kingstowne Cleaners ruined my day and evening WEDDING dresses. The Owner refused to acknowledge the damages and refused to pay for an estimate by a professional wedding dress tailor. Beware! The Kingstowne Cleaners started off OK. Over the past year they frequently ripped the buttons off the collars of my shirts; not just breaking the threads but ripping the material of the shirt. They sew them up and it normally did not show under the collar once it was buttoned down. Nevertheless, they are very rough with the shirts to be causing that kind of damage. The last batch of shirts had one where the rip visibly extended below the line of the collar, making the shirt unwearable. I requested a replacement. They didn't appear to comprehend any responsibility for the damage and they refused to be accountable for ruining a $90 shirt. I have no choice but to find another service. We will not be going back to the Kingstowne Cleaners. read more

My husband has taking his shirts here for years, with no problem. I took a business suit to be hemmed (both on the jacket and pants). When they do the hemming correctly, I have no problem. However, they forgot to hem one leg on the pants. No problem, I thought, I will just take it back to them. She wanted to charge me AGAIN! I told her, no, you already charged me to hem the pants and YOU didn't hem BOTH legs. She advised me that I had waited too long to come back and that I must have worn the pants. I told her that I couldn't wear the pants since one hem (which was approximately six inches long) kept hanging down my leg SO I never wore them. She asked IF I wanted to clean them, I told her that I NEVER wore them SO they were not dirty! It was obvious, she wasn't going to take the charge off, so I handed her my credit card and told her to charge me. She looked at me and said bring the receipt back and come back with another pair of pants.....I looked at her with amazement and shook my head and walked out. I know my husband has been loyal to them for five years, but I told him there is another cleaners next to Giant (grocery store) and that is where we will be taking our business. I was NOT trying to scam them, but felt that they had made an honest mistake and could have kept a customer by doing the right thing. Horrible service. Stopped going there. I brought in hangers for recycling and I thought I was doing good. Just because they were not 100% lined up, lady balked at me. Couple of time they tried to request that I pay upfront for drop offs upon picking up. I have been a frequent customer until I decided to quit. And by the way owner had taken over just few months ago after terminating employee staff who was ten times more customer friendly. read more
