I've been to this location a couple of times. It's not convenient to me, but they do good service and I like that the work is performed on site. I prefer to not go to a dry cleaner that sends shoes out for repair. I took a tote bag where the zipper had broken off, and a pair of boots where the heel of one shoe was coming off. I appreciated that the cobbler provided the reason why he was charging what he charged. For example, I still had the zipper even though it was not attached, so that reduced what he would normally charge. And for the boots, I always take both shoes because repairs may need to be done on both, and that was the case with my shoes. All in all, prices were fair, the cobbler was professional and pleasant, and the work was good. read more

I took three pairs of shoes to this business a couple weeks ago one of them very expensive suede sneakers that had stains that were very visible. The other two were expensive dress shoes. It took them a couple days and I got them back in my sweet shoes. Amazingly don't have any sign of the stains that were on there before and the other shoes are in tiptop shape. My wife was especially impressed with the sneakers. Also, the price was entirely reasonable. I don't all the time leave good reviews but sometimes I feel like I have to! Great job ! read more

Great quality, value and very polite. I traveled from Washington DC to this shop that happened to be open on Sunday. The V logo flap on my Versace Medusa-Plague Loafers detached on the left shoe which was very annoying. I just bought them. Anyway I tried gluing it back together with leather craft cement but it didn't work ... it really needed to be stitched back together. He repaired the shoe and gave it a good clean and polish. I saw the bad reviews in Google and went anyway. That's my fault. 1. They will NOT finish your repairs by whatever day or time they give you. Expect to go back. 2. Payment is required upfront, in case you are unsatisfied with their work My issue: I paid for them to repair the entire stem of my pumps and they only replaced the heel tips and charged $15. Then the guy told me that he couldn't replace the rest of the heels torn material because the shoe and it's material were so cheap. He then suggested that I shouldn't have gotten them repaired at all and should have just bought new shoes in the first place. He wasn't upfront about what he could or couldn't do. Then was rude and unremorseful. A waste of money. Go elsewhere if you can. read more

All of the negative reviews are accurate. The work wasn't done forcing me to retrieve my bag and look for another piece to get it repaired. On 14 October, I had to wait more than 20 minutes just to to drop off my suitcase...the clerk was working on a project for another customer. It only needed its zipper pull replaced. The clerk seemed so overwhelmed or distracted that I had to fill out the bag-check tag....he would have been happy to let me leave without one. I needed the bag by Oct 25th. I made sure I noted it on the tag receipt. I called every day but no one answered the phone. Hoping against all hope, I returned to the store on 28 October. The same clerk was working and, surprisingly, I saw him answer the phone....though he admitted to the caller that he didn't know the answer to the question. Not only was the work not completed, it was not even started. I had to dig through a pile of bags to find it.....there was obviously no system to ensure projects are completed in an orderly manner. The clerk said, "They didn't do the job," and suggested I just leave it and come back in a couple of days. Really?!?!? I recommend you use a different shop, plan to return several times to check on your project, or plan to stay in the shop while the work gets completed...like the customer I met the day I dropped off my bag. Bottom line- I retrieved my bag and will look for another shop. read more

I bring my Birkenstocks here every 18-24 months to get resoled. I've also have him work on a pair of my dress shoes that had a small gouge in the right toe area. I took in a Backpack style Camera case for my telephoto lens that blew a zipper. They very quickly were able to repair the zipper for a nominal charge so it should be good to go for another 10 years or so. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

For anything other than a polish or quick fix, don't bother using this cobbler. The Manager, Santiago, is unreliable and doesn't keep his own business hours. If you drop off your shoes and there's an issue, he won't call you to update you. You'll just struggle to figure out when he will actually be open, then find he didn't complete the work because of some excuse. He told me his machine was broken when I finally managed to catch him in the shop. He is nice enough and cordial, but his unreliability makes this shop a poor business to patron. read more

Find a shoe expert that actually cares for shoes and customer service. Dropped off on the 5th for pick up on the 12th. Received a phone call on the 12th asking for a few more days, new pick up date of the 14th- sure no problem. Go to pick up on the 14th- they're not ready. Would have appreciated a phone call. Guy said he will call me when they are ready. I called the next day saying I can't wait for a phone call, I need to know when they'll be ready. He said one more week, I said ok, I'll pick them up on the 21st. On the 21st, received a phone call that shoes won't be ready until tomorrow- the 22nd... what else can I do but wait. Come by the 22nd- handed in my shoe ticket with my receipts that were stapled to the ticket- guy brought out my shoes and said to look them over. I had the heel wrap replaced. The wrap looked great- as I was looking at it I noticed something flaking from the inside of the shoe. I look inside of my shoes- holy mother of shoes- the insides were flaking off like a pie crust. I don't understand what happened as I didn't drop them off that way. Vincent told me they don't touch the inside of the shoe- and he doesn't know if I dropped them off that way. Vincent is suppose to be a shoe expert- you're telling me if I dropped off a pair of shoes- that he looked at, his eyes wouldn't have picked up the insides were flaking and falling apart? He continues to tell me it's not his doing- what else can I do but tell him that I hope the shop is proud of themselves. I walk out the store to return 1 minute later to ask for my receipt back- guess what? He proceeds to tell me he can't find it, but I should see the charge on my statement. What a way to offer customer service. This was the first time I had shoes repaired like this and I'll never do it again.. I'll just buy new shoes. The repair was $65- why would I repair the heels of a set of shoes if the insides were flaking off just by holding the shoe upside down. But the shoe expert said when I dropped them off he didn't inspect the inside - that are open by the way. You can see by the pics below- how would a professional cobbler miss that? I've never been so disappointed. The $65 isn't anything to me- but the shoes aren't wearable and I was treated like poop. read more

They're straight up liars. I dropped off shoes for repair on a Tuesday and was promised they'd be ready a week later. I returned a week later (Tuesday afternoon) and my shoes were sitting in same "drop-off" area, untouched. Their excuse was they were really busy. I told them I needed shoes for Saturday event and was promised they would be ready before Saturday. I returned on Saturday (11 days after initial drop-off) and, again, the shoes were still sitting in the same place, untouched. What a terrible business. AMAZING. Hands-down, the best shoe repair/cobbler shop I have ever used. I've used the services of at least 15 shoe repair shops throughout Virginia, North Carolina, California, and Tokyo. The people here are artists. They not only did a good job with simple sole replacement and shines, but also with a more complex problem in which they had to open up seams and replace leather reinforcements within the shoes to fix a squeak. I'm usually pleased with the service I receive here... But today was horrible. I needed to get a purse cleaned, so I dropped it off on Monday. I was told by Thursday that it would be ready... When I walked in on noon Thursday, I was told that he would need a little more time. Which isn't a huge deal, I can understand that he's busy... But what pisses me off is that when I came today (Friday) the store wasn't even open... I've was told that it would be ready by 10am. It wasn't. The store is closed. Their hours clearly state that the store opens at 10 on Fridays... So I'm going to have to inconvenience myself again to come back to pick up my bag... This place was friendly, fast, and professional. A favorite pair of dancing shoes needed the heels replaced and the guy inspected the entire shoe and indicated they could also reinforce the front tip of the sole where it was clearly worn down. I agreed and was glad to have the suggestion to make them last longer. I often get the heel stuck in holes or cracks in the sidewalk and it scrapes the heel sides. They made them looks like new again by removing the scuffs and disguised the damage with a minor paint job over them. The front tip reinforcement came out beautifully ($12 added cost). The heel tips replacement was a bit on the expensive side at $20 but they did such an excellent job that it was worth it, plus they did it all in the same day. Store is clean and organized, and the person(s) at the counter are the same ones doing the work so they know what are talking about and don't over- or underestimate any job. Only thing I found odd was that they asked for payment upfront, but they guarantee their work and make sure that you are satisfied or they'll make it right. read more
