Located on the 3rd floor of the plaza is this cute little coffee stand. They specialize in matchas and chai but they have a wide range of different drinks. They also had sweet and savory pastries as well. I love its location because of how peaceful it is up there. There is plenty of seating area outdoor. Parking is easy since you can park in their lot. They charge you after an hour I believe. I came here with one other person and we both got their strawberry field matcha. I got mine less sweet with oat milk. The drink originally isn't that sweet to begin with. I found their matcha to be strong but alright. Not the best quality but not bad. The strawberry foam on top was whatever. I would come back but to try their chai.

My favorite coffee cart in Del Mar. location is great (top of Del Mar Plaza) . There's open seating with a view of the water. Service is great and they have the best drinks! The seasonal menu items are always fun and taste delicious too.

Gave it another shot since I was in the area. Ordered another strawberry matcha and it was the nastiest matcha ever. Paid $10 to throw it away after 2 sips, even after stirring it. Extremely powdery and 0 sweetness. Sucks because I love the location

Adorable coffee shop at the plaza. I really love this Del Mar plaza and Kini Koffee is my favorite place to grab a cappuccino and sit with a friend at one of those comfy sofas enjoying the open air. The views of the wonderful sea and also people watching Kini Koffee is a small kiosk but delivering great drinks and service. I like the colors. I like the style and I make sure I always stop by and tell my friends to also go there better than nearby chain coffee shops.

I visited Kini Koffee for the first time while spending time in Del Mar. Kini Koffee is located on the rooftop of The Plaza. Parking is available on the street or there's a parking structure that you have to pay for. Kini Koffee has a small menu but has all the common coffee drinks and a seasonal menu. I ordered from the seasonal menu and loved my drink. It was a great combination of espresso flavor and peppermint. The other seasonal drinks sounded great. There were a few breakfast items available and a few pastries. We had the chocolate muffin and although it was very good, I don't think I would pay $7.70 for it again. The employee was very friendly. I enjoyed our visit and would recommend Kini Koffee!

Amazon rooftop coffee near Monarch in the heart of Del Mar. This is situated as a little kiosk near the outside tables and chairs above this shopping center. Fun speciality coffees and delicious espresso! Staff is efficient and a beautiful unique atmosphere to enjoy some caffeine by the ocean.

Stopped by for some coffee in the afternoon a few months ago and was kind of disappointed. This is a cute little coffee stand located in a fancy plaza by the beach. The vibes are nice and so are the workers. Super cute and delicious sounding lattes. Prices are comparable to small coffee shops. I ordered the Sweet Dreams and it was basically just a watered down cold brew. The chocolate cold foam was flavorless and didn't add anything to the drink. Also I couldn't really taste any notes of toffee in the cold brew. The barista said that this was her favorite drink from here so I was surprised that I really didn't like it. 2/5 Overall, the vibes and workers here are nice but the coffee was a miss for me. If I'm ever in the area again, I probably wouldn't come back.

Overall the location is great- it's a shared lot with many stores. The coffee shop itself is a stand which is cute white & pink vibe. I was not impressed with the matcha tasted watered down. If you want the view you can park and bring your own coffee as many locals seemed to do. Lastly the workers were a bit rude when asked for napkins/rags to clean a spill. They offered their pink napkins and when I asked if sure it's a large they said yes then stated not to take the pink napkins.

Rooftop coffee and tea with ocean views! As if that wasn't great enough this is an all female-run coffee shop! Shoutout to all the badass women out there running their own businesses. My holiday inspired iced matcha drink was delectable. Vanilla added for some sweetness, the cranberry cold foam offered a little tartness, and fun red sprinkles just because. Festive, pretty, and delicious. The barista was a sweetheart and the best part is you get to enjoy it while staring out at the ocean. The menu offers a lot of delicious coffee and tea creations and they always have seasonal options as well. Located on the top level of the Del Mar Plaza. Parking is free for I believe the first hour or two if you park in their garage. Check your ticket as I can't remember exactly. If you need more time here there's free parking behind the plaza in a residential area but you'll need to walk up and down a steep hillside.

Saw this on social media and had to come! It's a cute rooftop coffee shack with delicious drinks and a beautiful ocean view. There was only one woman working so there was a wait to order, which I completely understand, and she was sweet and helped me decide what to order! I decided on the iced white mocha with strawberry cream cold foam and it was delicious! It was a perfect amount of sweet and the strawberry foam wasn't too sweet or overpowering and paired nicely with the smooth coffee. There's plenty of rooftop seating with an ocean view. The parking garage gives 1 hour of free parking. I would definitely come back!

Saw this place on social media and the strawberry matcha looked divine! I got the strawberry fields - a honey vanilla matcha with strawberry cream cold foam and wow it was DELICIOUS! The strawberry cold foam wasn't too sweet or overpowering the matcha. The one woman working was kind and there was a bit of a wait for the drinks which I completely understand. Plenty of rooftop seating with an ocean view. Free 1 hr parking in the garage. I would definitely make the drive and come back!

I first heard about this small business on TikTok and I just absolutely had to come try their amazing looking coffee! I love supporting small businesses so I could not wait to visit but when I got there it was nothing like the videos or marketing they post on their social media. The girls on their social media are super friendly and welcoming but in person they weren't at all. The coffee was not that tasty either which was such a bummer since I love coffee! read more

i randomly found kini koffee, and the customer service was amazing! I believe my baristas name was Tyler. and even though she was working under pressure she was very attentive towards everyone, very smiley and had good energy overall. btw I had the BEST matcha ever!! not too sweet, nor too strong, or watered down, I'll definitely come back :D read more

This place is such a vibe, the staff here where so friendly even though they seemed to be short staffed the efficiency of making our drinks and how good it tasted, didn't feel like it was short staffed at all, Even with the line it wasn't a long wait! We went here on our way to the Del Mar dog beach and I'm so glad I found this little coffee cart! Not only was the coffee amazing the barista was the sweetest! The barista even got our pups little pup cups which they absolutely loved! We also got to sit and have amazing views of the beach. I would definitely recommend this place to any coffee lover in the area! I wish I lived closer to visit more often. read more

I got here at 4:15 when they close at 5 and the girl working told me they were closed and she couldn't serve us. What's the point in putting your hours til 5 if you're actually closing at 4? Or do you just not track when your employees actually end for the day? read more

Their social media posts is not an accurate representation of their actual customer service.. the barista and ladies who appeared to be the owners were pretty rude and didn't care about the customers. Not sure if that's because they're just snobs or racists tbh. Also everyone in the reviews is right about their coffee being overpriced!!! Your menu should have the accurate pricing! Not just when I've already paid. Great aesthetic and front Kini is putting up, but they lack authenticity. Show who you really are on social media, girls who just want out money! Next! read more

I came here for the idea of having a GREAT coffee with a view, but if I could give this place zero stars...totally would! Coffees are subpar...coffee here is overpriced! There are so many other coffee places on this street that are so much better. I mean if I wanted a Starbees coffee, I would have just gone there. Another issue, the owner is a B$&@ and half and some type of a snob and so rude to her baristas! No wonder they look stressed out! Not only is she rude to her employees she's rude to her customers. Then there's the wait time! OMG! The wait time...it seems like this place is constantly training new people...tells you something about management. Take a tip if you don't go to bat for your employees they won't go to bat for you! You're employees ARE your business lady! Treat them right! BTW went to the other location...so much worse than this! You only went lower on the totem pole opening up a kiosk there. Another tip the drinks on your IG look nothing like what is served! Again, this place must be the training spot for baristas to start before they go to work for better cafes. Awful! The view is nice though...just not this coffee spot! read more

Two coffees here will cost you about 20 dollars and that's completely outrageous for the quality. We ended up just throwing our drinks out, way to sweet and way over priced. Seating area is really the only reason to come by, maybe grab a bottle of water and enjoy the sun. read more

I was really excited to get this trendy coffee and i ordered a champagne latte. they forgot about my order and closed the store, while i was standing outside. so i knocked on the door and they made it really fast. the coffee was really good but the service was bad. they felt bad so they gave us truffles if you could even call it that, and they tasted like bath soap. read more

But the prices weren't posted for any drink/added shots/syrups etc. When we went and the barista sold us the "Ellie" which ended up being $9.43, but we didn't know until she was charging us at the register. Let me start off by saying this is definitely one of my favorite coffee places by far. I'm local to the area, so I come in pretty frequently and almost every time I've been helped out by the absolutely amazing Lindsay!! She has the best energy, makes great coffees and is always working so hard! I've never had a bad experience there, all the staff is friendly and the coffee is bomb! His vanilla latte was top tier but I absolutely love the cherry bomb latte. Cherry and coffee go together much better than expected. Their butter croissant was heaven. Just the fluffiest layers and delicious!

This coffee shop has a prime location--a rooftop with ocean views and ample seating, complete with a ping pong table for added fun. However, be prepared for chilly morning weather during May Gray/June Gloom--bundle up! The shop itself is cutely decorated in pink, and the barista was patient as we decided on our orders. I tried the Zebra Cake--a black and white mocha with strawberry cold foam (I opted for almond milk). My daughter went for the Butterfly--an iced lavender matcha with vanilla cold foam (also with almond milk). The drinks arrived beautifully presented with cute heart designs on the cups and sprinkled cold foam. Unfortunately, despite their appealing presentation, both drinks were excessively bitter--overpowering even the sweetness of the cold foam. Attempting to dilute them with melted ice didn't improve the taste. To make matters worse, my daughter experienced a stomach ache shortly after consuming hers. Moreover, the bill was surprisingly high--$22 for just two drinks after tax and tip.
