We understand a group that size is harder to accommodate but not impossible. One half of the table was finished with their food being prepared before second half was started. Not that big of a deal. But the lack of service overall with drinks and anything else's we needed was disappointing. On to our food, miso soup was cold. Ginger dressing was creamy and sweet (not terrible but not what I've come to expect at Japanese restaurants), my salmon was not cooked fully, yum yum sauce was white in color and also sweet which was different. I spoke to a busser to request service for waters and other drinks. She let me know she didn't not speak English which for me was no problem I speak Spanish but the fact that we would not have gotten any service if I wasn't able to communicate with the busser to get our server and to request multiple items is not okay. The restaurant overall was not busy at all. The hibachi side was full but the restaurant half was practically empty. Bathroom floors also could use a deep clean there is a lot of buildup on them. Very disappointing overall experience but I gave 3 stars because I feel bad giving less.

My adult daughter recommended this place as she has dined at MFF a few times in the past and truly enjoyed the "quality" of fish they get/use for all the sushi items. I thus needed to see myself. We called ahead to see if we could still get in for the late lunch as this place takes a break between lunch and dinner for about an hour between 3pm and 4pm. The time was close to 2:40pm. They said to come despite it being near the closing time (for lunch at 3pm.) Upon arrival, the place was quite empty except for one table that was finishing up. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. We mainly ordered from the sushi menu for 4 nigiris and 1 simple roll. And they are Albacore Tuna, Tuna, Yellowtail and Salmon for nigiris and Yellowtail roll. For some sides, we ordered Mushroom Miso Soup, Age Tofu and Vegetable Tempura. -Mushroom Miso Soup: The mushrooms were shiitake kind. They were dined into very small pieces which I thought was not the typical way to put in miso soups or any other kind. They are simply sliced from the top to the bottom to have the "shape" of them intact. Well, at any rate, however, the soup tasted good although it lacked the "depth " of miso soup I wanted to taste in it. Not bad, however. And it was hot! -Age Tofu: Freshly out of the oil in which the battered tofu pieces were cooked in it. Thin crispy out layer was perfectly crisp. The tofu was hot inside there as we took a bit into it a steam came out. Quite good. -Vegetable Tempura: They also did a great job on the thin batter that coated each vegetable piece. Nice and crispy on the outside; the veggies were perfectly cooked where they weren't mushy at all. -Fishes on the nigiri sushi and the roll: This is what made my daughter impressed when she dined here twice prior to yesterday's visit. And I got to taste it. I immediately saw why she was raving about this place. They were large and fresh. And to produce this quality in this mountain town in Colorado is something I could give them my accolades. Nothing tasted old so no fishiness or sourness; they all smelled clean with the perfect texture. And some of them melted away as we chewed: the absolute indication of fresh fish. Service was basic and yet good enough. Since we were pretty much the only remaining table for the lunch hour after that one table that left earlier, all of our food came out of the kitchen and sushi bar quickly. Ambience was good. Enjoyed sitting at one of the two-person tables that is round and is located on its own away from other tables right by one of the windows and near the sushi bar. The sushi bar had a nice atmosphere as well. Clean indeed. The patio seating is available and quite spacious. I can comfortably recommend this place to someone I know if they are looking for a reliable sushi place in Breckenridge.

Our server was also very friendly. The restaurant is clean on the inside and has a nice outdoor area as well. We got a poke bowl, Philly roll and the rainforest roll and all 3 were a 10/10 Poke Bowl - you get to choose two meats, we chose to double up on the salmon and let me say they give a MASSIVE portion of fish. I was very pleased. Rainforest roll- this apparently is their most popular roll and let me say this was probably the best roll I've ever had! It has the perfect balance of flavors and if you love a saucy, flavor bomb roll this is it. Overall, it is a bit on the pricier side for sushi in my opinion but very well worth the dollars. Would definitely come back!

I ordered the miso salmon entree and my husband had the lobster ramen entree. I was looking at two different different and the waitress recommended the "papaya lady" to pair well with it. She was spot on! The salmon was moist, not fishy at all, with caramelized grill marks. The lobster was tender, and plenty meat in the tail. The broth was delicious to just sip on, and went great with the noodles.

We came on Saturday night in the middle of ski season; I was honestly shocked we didn't have to wait for a table. They mentioned they also take reservations- so good to know for next time! Service was fantastic; our server answered questions, made suggestions, and was very attentive. Our food was great- we got the Plate #2 to share, the Ninja (which, if you're wondering, means there's a pork eggroll inside the sushi roll), and the house roll. Everything was delicious- even the plain ol California roll. Thanks!

We ordered fried pork dumplings (they had no vegetables in them) the steamed crab dumpling had no veggies. the egg roll was ok, they gave us this weird pinkish red jelly like stuff with it; it was ok but I don't know what it was. We ordered a special order sushi roll-snow crab and shrimp tempura no veggies- it took 30 minutes to get because the waitress wrote it down wrong. the miso soup was too salty and didn't taste like it was dashi stock nor did it have any green veggies in it. the California rolls tasted like grocery store kind we get back in Texas. (did I fail to mention that) And last but not least, the chicken teriyaki, we ordered 3...BIG MISTAKE. the chicken was rubbery (and THATS never a good sign) the sauce was sweet-like but not with honey or brown sugar. After 3 bites it was over. I don't know where this dude gets his chicken or he just doesn't know how to cook it. In Texas we have MANY Asian restaurants and WE KNOW the goodness that is the FLAVORS involved in cooking this kind of food. It's all about the flavor, the freshness. This place is a far cry from traditional Japanese food. And, I don't know if it's just Colorado NOT KNOWING great Japanese flavors and ingredients or just the people visiting Colorado DON'T KNOW but, to have anything above 2 stars for this eatery is ridiculous. (no RR inside for customers) DO NOT RECOMMEND IT
