Walked into here on a Tuesday night, it wasn't packed at all but we didn't have a reservation. The only thing they had was a high top at the "sushi bar". The sushi bar wasn't really lively, they block the view overall so you don't get a "sushi bar" experience from the chefs. Our waiter seemed flustered because he was understaffed but we put our orders in for drinks and tried to make the best of it. I ordered a mocktail and it was so sour you couldn't drink it. So I asked for a different drink. When we got our miso soup it was so salty that none of us at our table couldn't finish it. The "bread" for the table isn't impressive and they decided to plate our entire groups order on a skateboard? Which had paint chipping off of it? (Food grade? Probably not) Like a lot of other reviews it's confusing here. The sushi....the sushi was warm. My cuts of fish on my nigiri's that were raw were warm. The monster spider roll was rolled so bad that the nori sheet was hard to chew. As the night went on tables weren't used, and we could have sat at a table with the turn around times we saw. Overall, for the price they charge it's not worth it. Go into downtown Breckenridge if you're looking for sushi because this isn't it. read more

Really underwhelmed here. Best note is that they are open till 10 and service was fast... or more like rushed. I got the Short rib which at $38 was SO NOT WORTH IT. As far as I could tell it was an incredibly dry piece of chuck swimming in salty thick meatloaf gravy. It was edible, but only because I was hungry and knew what it cost... you needed water to get the meat down. Asparagus was good. I started with a specialty roll, the Hot Hippie w/salmon. $20 (12 plain. 8 for the fish). Good but not $20 good. I guess I'm used to specialty roles being oversized, which this was not. Also got the Iwai old fashioned. Tasted like a glass full of crushed ice with whiskey. Could barely tell it was an old fashioned. So, my meal was $80 before tip, nothing was great, I'd try somewhere else or maybe just different options. The front bar seemed lively and fun. Awesome sushi and great vibes. I like sitting up front near the bar; it's a good option in case you don't have a reservation. This place gets slammed during the weekends so plan ahead! Their sushi is awesome and I'm a big fan of their tuna shooters. read more

Which is upsetting because we skied all day and was tired. Hands down our favorite place here in Frisco. Staff, atmosphere, food quality, etc. Kemosabe is the best. Yes they get busy and there are times when service is a little slow BUT they make up for it with great service and the food. I've lived here my whole life and never get sick of coming here. A bit pricey I thought but had a great roll that had the right balance of rice and tuna/vegetables. Nice selection on menu also; I chose the broiled trout. This is really 3 1/2 stars. First, the staff are top notch and I'd definitely go back just for drinks. The bartender, Marcos, went out of his way to find out which items we were interested in were gluten free and gladly brought me Tamari. We were returning from a day on Breckenridge and just wanted a few bites before heading back to our hotel in Vail. We ordered the Green Chili Artichoke Dip with extra crudite as there were not any chip options GF. Very nice touch and it was tasty. Hubs had a burger that he devoured and a real big miss on the Tempura Shrimp Roll. The entire roll was not panko breaded but it was fried, bad just bad. I had the seared tuna roll and got through it but would not want to again. We just made bad food choices. The atmosphere is awesome and in different timing, I'd have loved to watch the sunset over the snowy streets as I numbed my stiff muscles with the great cocktails. read more

Trying to find that perfect place to grab lunch that started from Georgetown, then to Dillon... and finally ended up at the main street of Frisco. While checking out the menu, friendly server greeted and I told her that I was just checking out. The paper menu had few things that caught my eyes and while looking at it again, she stopped by again. I have asked if we can sit at the outside patio and she gladly said yes and went to clean the table right away. Later, finding out that she was very busy but promptly stopped to accommodate my request. Our waiter was also super courteous and greeted us with big smile (with mask still on). Definitely a big plus! While he went to get water, the host /manager came by to make sure we were taken care of. All this happening within few minutes of each other. The lemon pepper trout with potatoes slivers were very good. One pound of chicken wings (turned out to be 9 pcs) buffalo flavor were very good. Almost reminded me of Korean fried chicken wings. With the flavor profile, presentation and pricing point, I would have mistakenly though that I was at Ritz-Carlton restaurant. View of 10 mile peak was amazing while sipping my strawberry blonde. I was very impressed with overall experience, ended up tipping more than 25%. I will definitely will come back to this restaurant on my next trip and highly recommend to all of my friends. read more

As with all sushi places, you'll be paying a premium to eat here, but it's really not that bad for what you get. The quality is pretty good. Definitely enjoyed their Mrs. Perfect roll the most, as it had a nice little kick to it. Usually the "spicy" options aren't actually spicy but this definitely had a little something in it. The flowers are beautiful. But my good experience ends there. I ordered a six piece yellowfin tuna avocado roll. Two things. There was a very small amount of tuna in it. And after eating a piece or two I commented that I couldn't see any avocado. But I saw a little green in it....halfway through. Realized it was a bit of scallion. Ok, they gave me the tuna scallion roll. I ate it and figured let it go. Then I ordered the wedge salad. it had to quarter wedges in it, but for some reason it was served in a tight bowl, hard to work at cutting and eating it. I was trying to cut it with the knife they gave me....i was sawing away to no avail. i finally asked for a steak knife. The one piece I cut easily and ate. When attempted to cut the other half with the steak knife, it was still difficult. Then I tasted a piece. They served me a wedge of thick cabbage!! Not lettuce. I will say they comped half the salad when i told them. and I know restaurants are struggling to get staff. But who works in a kitchen and doesn't know the difference between a head of cabbage and a head of lettuce? My husband liked his meal however, salmon and asparagus. read more

The service was terrific - we walked in a bit before the dinner rush - probably arrived around 5 - and they told us they were fully booked during peak dinner hours but that they wouldn't mind having us if we finished before 6. My response was absolutely but can you serve us that quick? They nailed it. Not only did we get apps, entrees and a couple rounds of drinks in under an hour, but the service was optimal - we didn't feel rushed at all. Interesting variety of food, but they nailed that too. Had fried rice with the beef tenderloin tips. It used to be much better. The vegetables in it were lukewarm. Girlfriend and I both ordered hot green tea. It was microwaved to get the hot water. This results in a mug that is hotter than that tea water itself so you can't drink the tea once once it is cool enough to do so. I ordered green tea because they are out of every diet soda. Not just one. Every one. Girlfriend got ramen. No soft boiled egg in it even though that's on the menu. We asked for a to-go container specifically for the ramen and the server brought out a regular to go box. The broth is not going to stay in a to-go box. Had to go ask him to bring out a quart container. A couple of years ago this place was much better. I think this was my last visit and I will definitely not be recommending it anymore. read more

The staff at Silverheels are totally accommodating to the social distancing with expansion of their dining room to include a covered, heated patio. Make a reservation on OpenTable or call ahead. Lunch has a full bar and food menu and even a short menu offering from their sushi neighbor. The sushi is *fantastic*! Service was fabulous, we were tended to quickly and frequently.... Stopped in for an early dinner. Our server was great, and the ambiance certainly more of a date night vibe. We brought our three children, and our middle doesn't like sushi so it was difficult to find him something. We tried several shooters, the cucumber salad, multiple rolls, beef gyoza and crab wontons. The shooters, quail egg yolks and fried jalapeño tuna were absolutely delicious! The cucumber salad was insanely yummy and full of flavor; cucumber, spinach, tomato, avocado, and edamame. The rolls were great; spicy tuna, Philly, and Mount Vesuvius. The wontons were good, a little less traditional than we are accustomed to, and the beef gyoza was interesting (to say the least). It was ribeye meat, mostly raw/mushy, and a very different unusual spice. We didn't care for them. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm glad we stopped in. read more

One has stuff in it from who knows where. Mocktail comes 10 mins later. Order the "Bread for the table." It appears with an almost empty butter cup so we need to order another. (Did someone eat it beforehand???) We did order a soup and edamame to start as well. We got that after the burger and sushirolls we ordered. And it wasn't the chili garlic edamame we asked for. Hmm... Didn't get any plates or silverware until we asked. Didn't get the ginger and wasabi either. By the way, we had to walk to the sushi bar in order to request the stuff I just mentioned. While by the sushi bar, all you hear is employees talking crap about the customers. Saying "f them" to paraphrase. While writing this I'm hearing the table next to us saying "we're not getting the appetizers we asked for before our main dishes." On a good note, my daughter did like her burger. Definitely give them five stars! My wife had a soup of the day, which was a lamb vegetable stew that the flavor was absolutely fabulous! I tasted it and thought about buying a couple containers to take home for lunch tomorrow. It was absolutely delicious. I had the roasted pork sandwich and it was extremely flavorful. We decided to have our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here and I could not be happier with how it turned out! Roy and Tyler were great to work with ahead of time and created a special menu just for us with the bride and groom's names on it as a nice keepsake. We had the back room to ourselves (20 people), and Kaileen was our waitress. She took such good care of us and was efficient, accurate, charming, and funny! The food was excellent! My husband and I have had sushi here in the past (which we loved!) but we decided to have a more traditional American fare for this dinner. The appetizers were delicious (crab wontons, dumplings, wings). The main courses were fabulous (trout, prime rib, chicken) and everyone was commenting on how delicious each item was (unsolicited praise!). They provided a choice of three mini desserts (very generous and not very mini!) which were amazing (mud pie, brownie, cheesecake). I honestly can say the evening exceeded my expectations in every way and we are so happy we chose Kemosabe at Silverheels! read more

Well considering the restaurant had 4.3 stars I assumed the food would be very good. The service unfortunately was slow and I felt bad for the server as he had 6 tables including a 10 top with no help. Food was lukewarm when it came out. I will say the chicken lettuce wraps were superb! Reasonably priced but definitely did not taste up to cost. I don't think I will be returning, unless more staff is on. read more
