They were busy but able to take a group of 5 no reservation Saturday, so that was great. Everyone was friendly. The space was a little loud. The tempura asparagus roll and veggie roll were good. The rest of the table enjoyed their sushi and rolls though - the tuna rolls were big hit. The cocktails... well, the lychee martini was not very good. I drank half of it. Small cute little restaurant connected to the teppanyaki place. - Milk Tea w/ Boba 2.1/5 Milk tea is below average, and the boba is hard and tastes old. - Green Mussels 2.3/5 Could be baked a little longer, and it was quite oily/wet inside. Basic, below average. - Hama Hama Roll 3.8/5 The eel and avocado on top was tasty. - Dillon Roll 4.2/5 Yellowtail on top tasted fresh, it was overall a good roll. Went for Valentines Day. Glad we made reservations. Just the 2 of us. We have been coming to Nozawa since moving to the area 15 years ago. Never disappoints. We dined on the sushi side but dont forget you can order hibachi entrees too. Our server was amazing but I noticed the table next to us was rushed by another server. We went to Nozawa on the weekend after a peak snow storm and just couldn't wait for some spicy Ramen. We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen with some sake. Nozawa delivered it. This tonkotsu ramen has a rich, long-simmered broth that contains soft boiled eggs with their golden yolk, nutty-sweet sesame seeds, earthy scallions, and crunchy bean sprouts. Not sure where the negative reviews come from because we have been coming to this place for over a decade, and it has improved from good to amazing. We highly recommend the food and the service! The place feels good - not too small and not too large. The gabacho area is separate from sushi restaurant area, but you can order sushi at the hibachi side for variety and options for a large group. Loved this place for a bite to eat after shopping. The service was great, and so was the ambiance. We loved our cocktails. I ordered a miso soup and my friend got the gyoza, both of which were good. Came here for sushi on a Sunday. Restaurant was pretty busy so we did have to wait a bit for our food, but the pricing is affordable and sushi was fresh. Everyone liked their food. My favorite was the fatty tuna carpaccio appetizer. Slices were thick, fish was amazing...melted in your mouth, and for $12?? A steal. The salmon sashimi was excellent as well. On entering the very modern and clean space, I headed straight to the sushi bar to check out the quality of their offerings and was heartened by the freshness of its fish, and the hygienic conditions. Nice little Asian restaurant near the Breckinridge area. We were driving around this area in search for some good food. We came across this one. From the outside we felt that we were walking into a Japanese restaurant. But we were surprised to see that they have wide range of Asian food from sushi, to Chinese to Thai. We ordered hot & sour soup and shrimp Tom yam soup for appetizers. Soup was nice, but their service was weird. They gave hot & sour first and we waited for 10 mins before our other soup arrived. For entrees, all of us ordered Thai food. I ordered tofu panang curry. Again, service was messed up. They gave two of our entrees first, followed by the third one after 10 mins. It was weird that a couple of us were eating while our other family member was just staring at our food. Everything was delicious. Today, we decided to hit Nozawa after a day of skiing. After reading reviews, it was pretty unanimous to stick with their sushi. Upon arriving, we were told to stay in a small seating/waiting area near the entrance until a table opened up. We were almost immediately seated. We were sitting on the far side of the room from the entrance but a chilly breeze would rake the whole dining room. The dining room is clean and simple, but nice. It took about 10min to get water and another 10 to get our order taken. Twice, the wrong order was brought to our table. I ordered a Diet Coke... it took 45 min for it to arrive along with the Thai Teas! Our food didn't arrive until a hour after we walked through the door. They seemed to have 1 server actively running the whole dining room. He was great but severely overwhelmed. The sushi was good, especially the atomic shrimp, but the wait just couldn't be justified. My expectations were not that high because I have been to some pretty great spots back home and Keystone is small town. I was completely wrong and gratefully taken by surprise! 100000/10 recommend!! I've been traveling through Silverthorne to get to Gypsum quite often and when my SO wanted to go to a hibachi grill, I was thrilled! For my first time being at one, it was sooo dang good!!! The flavor bombs left and right was ridiculous, I got the chicken entree which came with soup, salad, two fried shrimps, fried rice and my chicken. The soup & salad was not my forte nor my SOs, however he did enjoy his salmon entree! The service was awesome, we did wait about 35-45 mins until our chef came to cook our food at our grill, we came in as two, we had to wait for the rest of the grill to fill up (I was not aware of this.). The other party was bigger than ours and it wasn't the best party to be seated with but we made it work! The chef did amazing & was very funny! The overall place is loud and busy, not too crowded when busy though. It was nice and relaxing on the inside as well.
