cucumber avocado roll and Philadelphia roll
    Lindsey K.

Highly recommend!! Such a good variety and sure to have options for everyone's cravings! Service was incredible here! All the staff was SO helpful and awesome. We went about an hour before they closed too and they were still helpful and didn't rush us at all. I had the miso soup and it was SO good! We also had a cucumber avocado roll and a Philadelphia roll! Highly recommend both! The sweet potato fries were also great!

Dirty glasses-note the chapstick from previous customer(s). Filthy salt shaker and rude host.

Dirty glassware-gross. Waitress was good. Jalapeño shooter and salmon zinger are good.

We had to wait for an hour to get seated as they were short on sushi chef (so we were told). Such a nice seating area in comparison to Silverheels where we hung out when we waited and the live music was way too loud. We were probably shouting at each other over the course of sushi since our ears had been blasted for too long. The food was ok, hits and misses. Kani was not my favorite; Salmon skin salad turned out to be refreshing. Spicy tuna was everyone's favorite, which was surprising. Service was good. Price ok especially considering it's in a mountain town.

The sushi is great! They can accommodate large groups and are willing to service separate checks.

Called at noon and was able to lock in a reservation for 1:30 pm on the spot. Was a bit worried about the quality of food after seeing the reviews, but I was absolutely delighted when our service was FANTASTIC and our food was even better. Highly recommend from a fellow sushi lover!

Surprised I hadn't previously reviewed. We've been coming for years. Fav sushi spot in CO...great experience each visit. Excellent service, fresh tasty options, always A+. Something new this visit...learned the story of the name! Ask your server when you come, because you NEED to visit!

We can cook almost everything doing COVID but one thing I rather get from a real place is SUSHI! Sunday afternoon after a nice hike we got numerous plates and rolls and enjoyed the sunshine as well. Needless to say it was all great - fresh, delicious and still light feeling great afterwards.

Super Spicy Shrimp Crunch (MINUS super spicy ghost pepper sauce)!!

We ordered a half chicken which would have been enough for us in general but the batter was so crispy and well seasoned that we were highly tempted to order a whole chicken just to take home with us to brag to other family. It was sooooo good! I am from South Korea and I know when my chicken is good. Even some Korean chicken franchise in Denver can't do this good. It will come with a sauce for dipping on the side. We chose the bird sauce and was perfect to dip or mix it in with a jasmine rice along with complementary herbs (basil, cilantros, etc) and cucumber salad. Plus their special soft serve of the day made it even more perfect. We had a coconut soft serve ice cream topped with caramel sauce which was very good. Not overwhelming just refreshing as a whole. This will be our place for sure whenever we pass by! Chicken and outer range hazy ipa were perfect match. I loved that they are existing together. We were starving and I regret so much for not taking the photos. Miss the place already

We ordered the Mediterranean Bowl, Pure Thai Bowl, and Summit Stir Fry Bowl, and we were very happy eaters. Their food bowls and tableware looked stylish, clean, and gorgeous, making the meal a treat to look at and to enjoy. Adding to the charm, we were especially lucky to have Ms. Lora as our server. She checked in on us periodically, made sure everything was perfect, and even offered to take pictures of us, what a kind gesture! Prices felt appropriate for the quality and freshness, and our food arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the Korean Zoodle Bowl with a tofu add-on. It was a bit sweet, but the mild spice helped to counteract this. The large variety of vegetables in it satisfied my closet vegan. The tofu had a very pleasing crispyness when it first arrived. I told the SO, "Quick, try the tofu!", when she got her bowl. The SO ordered the Summit Stir Fry with a tofu add-on. She enjoyed it, but thought it was a little on the sweet side. I thought it was a lot on sweet side. I made my bowl not seem so sweet after all, which I took as a plus. Overall the food taste and quality was good and the service was friendly. I will base my rating on that. I do have one comment not having to do with the food or service. Stop reading here if you don't care. Pure Kitchen has a 4% "Competitive Wage Compensation" charge. I was surprised to see this charge on the bill and only later saw that it was in the fine print on the menu, with an "opt out" option (what brave soul is going to "opt out" and risk spittle in their food). Maybe it's my fault for not looking at the fine print on menu, but it's a food menu, not a used car contract. Just my personal opinion, but I believe if a restaurant wants to have "fair wages" for their employees, it is their responsibility, not mine. Raise food prices, lower profit margin, whatever, but please don't add another tax. It just doesn't seem right. I have never once complained about high food prices in any of my reviews because it is my choice to go out to eat. I could eat at home if I want to keep within my monthly budget. I have avoided going to other restaurants based solely on this type of "fair wages" charge and will likely not come here again for the same reason (no matter how badly I want to try their Lamb Burger). I am really VERY SORRY for getting on my soapbox. I don't typically rant, but there are certain things that I believe should be addressed. I'm probably not the only person who feels this way.

My adult daughter recommended this place as she has dined at MFF a few times in the past and truly enjoyed the "quality" of fish they get/use for all the sushi items. I thus needed to see myself. We called ahead to see if we could still get in for the late lunch as this place takes a break between lunch and dinner for about an hour between 3pm and 4pm. The time was close to 2:40pm. They said to come despite it being near the closing time (for lunch at 3pm.) Upon arrival, the place was quite empty except for one table that was finishing up. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. We mainly ordered from the sushi menu for 4 nigiris and 1 simple roll. And they are Albacore Tuna, Tuna, Yellowtail and Salmon for nigiris and Yellowtail roll. For some sides, we ordered Mushroom Miso Soup, Age Tofu and Vegetable Tempura. -Mushroom Miso Soup: The mushrooms were shiitake kind. They were dined into very small pieces which I thought was not the typical way to put in miso soups or any other kind. They are simply sliced from the top to the bottom to have the "shape" of them intact. Well, at any rate, however, the soup tasted good although it lacked the "depth " of miso soup I wanted to taste in it. Not bad, however. And it was hot! -Age Tofu: Freshly out of the oil in which the battered tofu pieces were cooked in it. Thin crispy out layer was perfectly crisp. The tofu was hot inside there as we took a bit into it a steam came out. Quite good. -Vegetable Tempura: They also did a great job on the thin batter that coated each vegetable piece. Nice and crispy on the outside; the veggies were perfectly cooked where they weren't mushy at all. -Fishes on the nigiri sushi and the roll: This is what made my daughter impressed when she dined here twice prior to yesterday's visit. And I got to taste it. I immediately saw why she was raving about this place. They were large and fresh. And to produce this quality in this mountain town in Colorado is something I could give them my accolades. Nothing tasted old so no fishiness or sourness; they all smelled clean with the perfect texture. And some of them melted away as we chewed: the absolute indication of fresh fish. Service was basic and yet good enough. Since we were pretty much the only remaining table for the lunch hour after that one table that left earlier, all of our food came out of the kitchen and sushi bar quickly. Ambience was good. Enjoyed sitting at one of the two-person tables that is round and is located on its own away from other tables right by one of the windows and near the sushi bar. The sushi bar had a nice atmosphere as well. Clean indeed. The patio seating is available and quite spacious. I can comfortably recommend this place to someone I know if they are looking for a reliable sushi place in Breckenridge.

After standing at the front for a few minutes, the waiter finally approached us with, "Are you looking to sit outside, or are you just looking at the menu, or what?" Well... hello to you too. We asked if we could sit inside if there was availability. That apparently earned us an eye roll. I even offered to show documentation for my service dog, and his response was basically, "I'll get the owner and you can talk to him." At that point, the vibe had gone from "not very welcoming" to "we clearly don't want you people in here." I can't know what was going through his head, but the way he looked at us, spoke to us, and reacted to a simple request came across as genuinely prejudiced and discriminatory--not just rude customer service.
