Very good quality food, the service is not bad, but the wait is a little long. We had a great time there!

Almost everything about this experience was disappointing. This place will not stay in business long if it doesn't clean up its act. 1) Service. My in-laws were greeted disrespectfully, because they were 3 minutes early for our reservation. The service was slow (waited about 1 hour for food) and inaccurate (2 mistakes and neither corrected). 2) Prices are outrageous. There is NO reason for them to charge what they are. 3) Food lacked flavor and to make matters worse, the toppings / sauces were awful. - Hummus was fine, but they mistakenly (we did not order this) added canned mushrooms on top which just ruined the flavor - Israeli salad- I don't know how you can screw up tomato and cucumber but this had an awful flavor - Tahini - usually something I love with Mediterranean food, but this had an unusual almost spoiled flavor (between that and the Israeli salad - my schwarma sandwich was downright awful and too small for $15) - Taco appetizer was only highlight of meal- it was served cold but still had decent flavor

So glad I tried this place! I loved seeing all the vegetarian / vegan options on the menu! Mediterranean places generally only offer falafel on the menu (still a favorite) but I'm happy to see other options! I had the vegan shawarma plate which was very filling! The seitan bites they used were chewy & had a texture similar to meat but spiced accordingly! Definitely filling! The baba ganoush & could have been more creamier & smokier in my opinion but was still good! Definitely coming again to try all the vegan options on the menu!

Great food. t dishes. I usually get chicken schwarma and some matzoball soup

This is a great restaurant. I used to go here when they were across the street. They've moved to a nicer place and added a lot of different dishes to their menu. I always get good service. They have a nice beer in wine selection also.

Great place for lunch. Super quick. Wonderful vegan food. Discovered that it's a short drive from my office. Love having great vegan/vegetarian food options nearby. Will definitely make this a regular place for lunch. Update 10/18/18: their online ordering is pretty easy too. Ordered lunch today and

Looking for vegetarian, vegan, or Kosher cuisine? The Kinneret Cafe meets all those needs. Mediterranean lunch and dinner options. I had a lunch special. Lunch specials are even available on Sundays. Choices are a sandwich with either fries, or soup, or a drink. I opted for the portobello mushroom panini, and an order of fries. The sandwich also came with a small cup of coleslaw, and piece of pickel. The panini had a big garlic flavor. The bread was nicely pressed. Fries were crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. I thought I was hungry, and it all ended up being too much food. Faux meat options are also available. As others have stated, limited parking is in the front, with additional parking in the back. It is a small location. Food is handmade, and does take awhile to come out. If in a hurry, online and phone ordering is available. If you enjoy their food, and also enjoy meat, the Kinneret Grill is also owned by the same family. Both restaurants are closed on Saturdays.

    Amazing vegan Mediterranean food!

The old pescatarian location across the street and the new location on the mall strip have been combined into one now, and this place caters to omnivores, pescatarians, vegans, and vegetarians. Their famous vegan schnitzel and schwarma plates are still on the menu, but the smoothies are no longer on the menu. The owners are nice people who cater to your food preferences. The decor is nice and more spacious than the old location. I appreciate that vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. They are also great with making onion-free items upon request.

Pretty good food. Matzo ball soup broth was yummy. Falafel sandwich was huge! Their Kinneret Salad was huge!

The menu in general is small but full of classic American food with a bit of a modern twist. We also really enjoyed the fountain soda machine. It's great that they use a local company instead of just using Coke-a-Cola! The ordering system is different than at most restaurants (you order at the counter before getting served at your seat), but the line moves quickly. What was especially awesome about our experience at Northstar was the service. There was a very slight mistake on our order (a burger that we asked for no cheese came with cheese), and, although we didn't mind at all, Northstar went above and beyond to make it right.

I stopped by to get a salad for lunch and it was made wrong twice but they handled it so promptly and very kindly. I felt bad but they reassured me it wasn't my fault. I recently had an issue with a local restaurant where the owner berated me for a mistake they made so this was such a breath of fresh air. I'm a faithful customer and I'll continue to come back. Excellent place for my family. P.S. the Kenwood salad, enchiladas, fish sandwich, and margherita pizza add prosciutto are some of my favorites! Honestly everything on the menu is good, you won't be disappointed.

I forget our servers name, but the manager also came by to check on us and even got my food boxed. We got a burger and the chicken katsu and of course the famous biscuits to start. The biscuits were very good but also a bit buttery greasy for our taste. One was enough (we split it). I did take the rest home and add some eggs to it for breakfast which was good! The burger was pretty good. Nice and salty. Not dripping with grease. Soft bun! The fries were decent but not my preferred style. I like fresh cut and these were kind of a shoestring fry. The chicken was decent but a pretty small portion that left my fiancé hungry. He said the side with it was just ok. We got cocktails that I can't recall but they were pretty good. We would go back and try some other things. Probably on a less busy day earlier in the week.

She made us feel completely comfortable and truly made an already wonderful meal even better. Exceptional service from beginning to end! The restaurant itself is adorable, modern, beautifully decorated, and has a lovely patio. But the service and food completely stole the show. We ordered several appetizers, including the bruschetta, fried green tomatoes, corn and ricotta dip, and pimento croquettes. I'm VERY picky, and I genuinely wouldn't change a single thing. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and cooked exactly right. The bruschetta was so good that we ordered a second round! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp with a delicious sauce, and the pimento croquettes were crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and paired perfectly with the sauce and pickles. The corn and ricotta dip was delicious as well. Nothing was too salty, under-seasoned, overcooked, or missing anything. The flavors were spot-on across the board. For dessert, we had the peach butter cake with everything on the side. The cake was delicious on its own and even better with the ice cream. It's rare to try so many dishes and not want to change a single thing, but that was the case here. The food was top-notch, and Olivia truly made the experience. We will definitely be back and will absolutely recommend this place to others. Amazing food, amazing service, and an overall experience that went above and beyond.

My friend started with calamari, served on a bed of Asian slaw. The rings were tender and tasty, and nicely complemented by the slaw. The soup du jour was shrimp bisque, which I eagerly ordered. I wish it hadn't been completely pureed, because I like bits of shrimp in it, but it was still excellent, tasting of shrimp, cream, and delicate seasonings. Moving on, he had the meatloaf, and we both liked it. I had the day's special of my favorite fish - halibut. It was perfectly seared, sitting in a pool of browned butter sauce and garnished with pine nuts, all accompanied by tasty spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. We each enjoyed a slice of carrot cake for dessert. I definitely don't intend to let 7 years slip by before I return, especially since the specials of the day kept me from trying the Kenwood salad and red wined braised short rib. I almost forgot to say that Wendy gave us flawless service, and showed us an alternative exit that didn't make me return across the rough stone floor with my walker.

We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.
