Decided to try the newest Kintaro location for lunch and it did not disappoint. It is absolutely stunning how they remodeled the old Corky & Lenny's it still has the character of the old restaurant but with a new flair. I visited for lunch where I ate a plethora of delicious sushi and had steak hibachi which was phenomenal. The service was very quick and efficient and the menu was expensive with very good quality food.

We had a rather large party and clearly 2 servers were not enough, they got easily overwhelmed. Sushi were average, and hibachi was just standard.

With the new Kintaro open in Woodmere it seemed like a good time to check it out; located in the space that used to be Corky and Lenny's Kintaro has brought a completely different vibe. The decor is very modern and even a bit futuristic, lots of bright colors, neons and plenty of sparkle. All of the tables are set up with a grill in the middle and individual heaters for the hot pots at each seat. Booth seating seems a bit too far from the table and the leg room is limited by the bottom of the table. This Kintaro offers a choice of AYCE sushi, hot pot or Korean BBQ; I was going to try the BBQ until I noticed that at lunch the protein choices are very limited; for me there were just 3 seafood options. Instead I got the sushi, Kintaro has a paper menu where you make your choices, apps, sushi, and kitchen entrees. I started with miso soup and the calamari, both of which are solid choices. The soup is warm with good flavor, the calamari is breaded and fried with a sweet dipping sauce. Sushi at Kintaro has always been good, I tend to get a nice assortment of Nigiri and a couple of the simpler maki; I do avoid anything with cream cheese or which is deep fried. The nigiri sushi was good, the fish fresh and vibrant, the rice pellets were well sized to not overpower the fish. The maki sushi is well prepared, nicely balanced and attractively served. One thing that I have found at Kintaro is they often miss an item or two from the order sheet, fortunately you can always place an additional order to get what you want. Other than the missed items service was good. I enjoy Kintaro and each location has a slightly different vibe and even some different menus. The Woodmere location is certainly good looking, the sushi was up to snuff we will have to see how they do with the AYCE BBQ; they should take a look at what other Cleveland restaurants are offering to be competitive. If you are looking for some good Japanese/Korean food at reasonable prices Kintaro is well worth checking out.

Consistent each time I go. Good value for the sit down endless lunch concept and appreciate that they have hand rolls. I tend to go with the sushi and apps over the hibachi. Service is always friendly also

This was such a fun dining experience at Kintaro in the Woodmere location. We did the $35 AYCE sushi and BBQ combo. For dinner, it's $29.99 if you choose just sushi, BBQ, or hotpot, with an additional $5 if you want to add BBQ. The quality of the sushi and sashimi was great, it wasn't cheap quality like many buffets. The rolls and nigiri were generously sized, fresh, and tasty. If you love sushi, you definitely won't be disappointed. Just make sure you're not too greedy when ordering, because they do charge for any leftovers. For the BBQ, you cook everything yourself. We ordered the Korean-style pork belly, spicy pork belly, prime brisket, and Kintaro's signature short rib. The meats are sliced thin, so if you overcook them, they can dry out pretty quickly. They also give you a large bottle of butter, which we used to cook garlic and oyster mushrooms, and it tasted amazing. They also give you lettuce so you can make ssam, which makes the BBQ experience even better. In the back, there's a BBQ and hotpot sauce station where you can grab sauces and customize everything to your liking. One thing I wished they had at the sauce station was black pepper flakes. I usually make my dipping sauce with salt, sesame oil, and black pepper, and it would've been perfect to pair with the meats. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back once I've fully digested everything. I'm still so full from what I ate!

The sushi, BBQ and Hotpot are Pawfect. We went there last year. It was à Hannukah for us on Thursday, December 18th, 2025.

Absolutely delish!!! The food is so good, and they have tons of bubble teas! The hotpot is fun to make and I recommend

This was my first time trying this type of cuisine. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Everyone's so friendly. The staff explained how it works and was patient. My server was awesome. So attentive and courteous. The food was amazing. Great flavors and cooked to perfection. I tried their chicken hibachi, sushi rolls and crab ragoons. I wish my stomach could hold more it was so tasty. Their prices are very reasonable. They do have a fee if you waste food which I understand ,because people will cost you unnecessary money by taking two bites. I highly recommend and I will be back

I should have known when, while on the phone placing our order, I asked if she would include a Takeout Menu to our bag & she said they don't offer that. She suggested I can always look at the online menu.....you know, the online menu with no prices. The seafood entrees clearly state on the menu that they come with soup, salad, vegetables & rice. There were no salads in our bag. Our teriyaki shrimp was in a sauce the consistency of water. We were told pickup in 25 minutes but it was not ready until 50 minutes after our call & there were only 4 occupied booths. We ordered shumai, shrimp teriyaki & shrimp tempura. It came to $56. However, Shinano Japanese restaurant was a very nice surprise. For an appetizer we tried the hamachi nigiri, which did not disappoint. For entrees we had shoyu ramen and chicken tempura curry. While they do not serve alcohol, you are welcome to BYOB, which I prefer since restaurants don't always offer the type of alcohol I like and it takes me forever to decide! The Cab that we brought paired nicely with our meal. If you get there before 6 pm and want alcohol, Miles Market is next door. Also the Shell gas station sells beer and wine. The restaurant is family owned and operated. Very knowledgeable and if you're like us and know your Japanese food, they have a Japanese menu! We will definitely be back to sample some of their other dishes!

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.
