Fantastic sake and nigiri and sushi as usual. Always with very creative specials like one with fried fish bones and hibiscus flower today!

Walking into this space is so fun! You're literally transported to an underground cool environment. I came on a week day around 6 and was immediately sat at the bar. I got 2 cooked and cur rolls. Both were tasty and light. I only wish they had a salad with ginger dressing in the menu or maybe a way to add some protein options on the side.

I was in Cleveland for a work trip and visited Ginko twice. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. I tried a variety of rolls, nigiri, and oshi. My favourites were the Toro and Truffle oshi, the negi toro hand roll, and the toro tataki nigiri. Somehow manages to get a seat both weeknights without a reservation. Definitely recommend if you're looking to splurge. I'd love to go back if I'm ever in Cleveland again.

Once you are downstairs and through the doors, you are transported to a submarine experience. The lighting, the bar setup, the textures, colors and scenery prepares you for an immersive night. There are numerous drink options at moderate prices. Steamed towels are provided upon arrival. This is one of the best, high-end meals offered in Cleveland. Everything is done professionally with precision and care. Not pictured below, but one of the best options on the menu, is the Eye of the Tiger roll.

My boyfriend and I tend to check out new restaurants each time we go to dinner, BUT if we end up in Tremont, chances are I will have my "dinner-cap" at Ginko for their delicious Foie Gras Nigiri. Crab legs are my favorite food...BUT I think the Foie Gras nigiri takes the cake now. Every time we come to Ginko, we are always treated with respect, enjoy amazing service & food, and recognized for our return each time. The manager, Joey, is so friendly, always welcoming us back for another amazing meal. The head sushi chef always greets us and has offered us some amazing off menu items to try, like tempura eel, bbq eel he prepared himself, and discussing the menu and our opinions. We tried the tuna toro pressed roll this time paired with a truffle miso sauce and it was incredible. Of course, I had to get my favorite Shiso martini with it! I will definitely order this and more at my next visit! Thank you to the Ginko team for making me feel special at your restaurant! I will return with friends and family soon!

Still loving this unique and delicious spot, but know now that to sit at the sushi bar itself may require a reservation as opposed to simply walking in and taking a seat. Best to "protect" yourself, lest you be turned away! Their Happy Hour is still one of the best in all of Cleveland, so be sure to take part in this ritual.

A tiny underground spot in Tremont underneath Dante, Ginko has some of the best sushi in Cleveland imo. Perfect for date night, friend dates, and solo dining. My friend and I got a Saturday night reservation and treated ourselves to an assortment of nigiri, unagi kabayaki special, and mango cheesecake. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout the night! She checked in on us several times, shared her favorites and the specials with us, and was fantastic all night! My favorites were the kabayaki special, seared salmon belly and seared fatty tuna nigiri, and the toro and truffle sushi. Sitting at the very aesthetically pleasing sushi bar in the center of the restaurant, we saw all the sushi being made in front of us for an immersive experience.

Ginko might be my very favorite restaurant in Cleveland. The food is incredible, service excellent, and the vibe is so fun. The menu is definitely pricey, so more of a special occasion spot, but worth every penny. It's a small intimate space in the basement, with both bar seating and booths on the perimeter. I like sitting at the bar because you can watch the sushi chefs prepare food! The waitstaff has always been very friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu options and offering advice. Now for the food itself - if you like sushi this is the place to go in Cleveland. Most recently, I did the omakase chef's tasting and had one of the best dishes I've ever tasted - a barely seared Scottish salmon. The entire meal was delicious though - no misses. If you stay for dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate mousse with black sesame ice cream and tempura banana. And The Villain sake is divine. Plus, when the waiter heard it was our anniversary he brought us an extra dessert at the end of our meal - such a nice gesture. Highly recommend, and can't wait for our next excuse to go back!

Wow just wow! Very romantic and vibey inside. I highly suggest getting a reservation. We did not and waited about 2 hours. We just got a drink at some of the local bars so it was fine, we didn't mind waiting. We loved everything we got but actually loved what the waitress recommended more! The fish just melts in your mouth. You have to get the Toro and Truffle.

i've come here for many years typically it is the top-notch sushi but this time around it seemed like a regular sushi place maybe due to the shipments being blocked from the winter weather. Service was on top of their game, very friendly and funny. And as always love the set up at the place nice cozy, warm downstairs like a speakeasy bar.!

The Matcha rim strawberry drink is a must try. The unagi foie gras is interesting but would want to try eye of the tiger next. Waited two hours on a Friday night for 4. Definitely make a recommendation. Great ambiance indie music vibes

Stopped in here while on vacation needing a small break and snack so we sat for Happy hour. We arrived right as the restaurant opened and it filled up really quickly. We had really friendly service and the bites were pretty good. The oysters were fantastic. A little pricey but this seems like a nice date night spot if you're in town. On a side note -I will say we wish they had shrimp or veggie tempura plate on the menu but that was the only thing missing for us. Also the foie gras sushi was really tasty

Went to Ginko for our anniversary dinner, it was fabulous! We were seated at the bar and got to watch the chefs make sushi rolls fresh. The chef gave us tips and recommendations on rolls. Our waitress was fantastic and attentive! Definitely a great spot for a romantic date night!

I went for carryout the other night and was so happy I did. The online ordering process was easy and efficient. They said my order would be ready in 15 minutes and when I walked in it was there waiting for me... still hot from the kitchen. The restaurant is small. On the end of a strip center on Euclid Ave in Willoughby. The parking lot was full and several people were standing outside waiting. So, I would say it would be wise to have reservations. The food was extraordinary. I mean it was sensational. If you like Japanese cuisine, this is the place. We tried 5 different items and everything was wonderful. I had to add more to my parking because I already saw how slow the service was but we felt bad leaving. There was a party that came in after us and didn't get any menus or greeted or anything for about 15-20 minutes so they left. Another party came and sat, ordered but then left as soon as the salads came out (I overheard something about the orders being wrong but still I felt bad the food was wasted). After the initial wait (where we bussed our own menus, dishes and napkins) everything else actually finished in an appropriate time period where the whole dinner took about 1.5 hours. I tried the beef bulgogi, seafood stir fry, soft shell crab app and the calamari app. The calamari was pretty frozen tasting, the bimbimbap wasn't very good due to the strange ground chicken, the bulgogi was actually decent but came with two raw baby carrots (old and wrinkled) and raw broccoli which was odd. We had to ask for sauce for the poke and it basically was a salad with raw fish on top... not super impressed overall especially since we have to pay for parking. Seafood stir fry barely had any seafood and the noodles/sauce tasted packaged. This place is attached to the theater so it's easy for people heading to see a show but other wise I'd avoid this place. Only redeeming quality is that the owner (I think?) was very sweet. The best dish we got was the soft shell crab but even then there wasn't a lot of it.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.
