What a fantastic restaurant that offers hotpot and Korean BBQ. We opted for the Korean BBQ but for a nominal up charge you can add the hotpot option too. With the BBQ they had an array of meats that you can grill table side along with a sauce bar and sushi section. Overall this was a fun experience and all of the meats were delicious

I came here with my out of town vegan friend and we had a great time. We didn't do the AYCE hotpot option and the waitress seemed slightly annoyed that we just wanted a regular menu. However, all was forgotten because their menu was so extensive and fun to choose from. I got a lamb noodle bowl and my friend got the Chinese veggie noodle bowl. Large portions, reasonable prices, fast service and the best part? I asked for red chili oil and the waitress simply pointed at the sauce bar and said I could make my own. That was awesome! I added a few scallion pieces with red chili oil and it was good but not quite spicy. We also ordered some edamame (extremely flavorless as no salt nor garlic nor seasonings were added) and pumpkin red bean pastries (these were delicious). I wish this place separated the hotpot and BBQ section from the regular dine-in so the fumes wouldn't engulf all the diners. Our jackets and purses smelled like cooking food the rest of the night!

Recently visited YI for a lunch date with my bestie and I really enjoyed it. Unlike Korean BBQ places that I've visited previously, YI offers an unlimited selection of meats and veggies for a flat rate vs set menu options. This allows for you to choose as little or as much of a particular thing as you want. You have the option to do both hotpot and Korean BBQ at the same table with only a $5 price difference, so we went with that option. I chose the curry broth for my hot pot and it was really flavorful. The price also includes sushi options. I'll definitely be back.

YI Hot Pot in Solon is the happiest place on earth. My boyfriend and I come here whenever we can and have brought several friends and family members. It's unlike any experience in other restaurants. We get the all-you-can-eat Hot Pot and Sushi every time. The selection is huge, offering thousands of ways to customize your food. There is a sauce bar with tons of ingredients. My favorite sushi is the sweet potato roll and avocado roll. There are plenty of vegetarian/vegan options here. There's also bubble tea! The staff is so friendly and helpful. This restaurant is kid-friendly and comfortable. Cooking your own food makes it both an interactive and entertaining experience! My friends and family members only ask one question when we talk about it: "When can we go back?!"

I've never had hot pot before so when I saw this spot near my parents' house, I wanted to try it. My husband and I did the all you can eat hot pot and bbq. For broth, we got spicy and Thai curry. I loved the Thai curry broth. The spicy was good, but a bit spicier than I prefer. My husband enjoyed it. I enjoyed the hot pot experience, but I wouldn't recommend the seafood options for it. I wasn't a fan of the BBQ. The meat wasn't very high quality. We did one round of it and then stuck to hot pot. You can also get sushi, but I tried it and wasn't a fan. If I were to come again, I would do non-seafood hot pot only.

My first time trying hot pot -- it was delicious! Great options, tasty seaweed salad, and good service. Go during happy hour and pick either the BBQ or hot pot (I did both, but loved the hot pot more).

Hot Pot, BBQ, and Sushi! Yummy! The place is spacious and the all you can eat area is clean and doesn't look gross or picked through! The decorations are very nice! Love the ambience of it all, also love how there's really no time limit as an all you can eat! Just be careful to start small and go back! So that you are not charged for wasting food! Its about $70 for two people including BBQ!

The place was okay. For being 4 months old, I'd love to support it and continue to encourage customers to visit. That-said, we got a few sushi items, the shrimp tempura was a bit over-cooked and the rest of the sushi was warm. Overall, I'd love to give it another try sometime.

Finally, a hotpot place in Solon!! I was so happy to hear about YI, because previously my family and I always had to drive at least 30-40 min to the closest hotpot restaurant (Kintaro). This is an AYCE hotpot and Korean BBQ restaurant. It's $29 per person for AYCE hotpot (both lunch and dinner), $32 per person for AYCE Korean BBQ (both lunch and dinner), or $34 per person for AYCE hotpot and Korean BBQ. My family and I tried the AYCE hotpot today. They had 9 broths to choose from. I ordered the Tom Yum broth and was actually decently surprised by the flavor, which was savory and rich, with a nice amount of spice and slight tartness. I also tried the mushroom soup, which had a very subtle mushroom flavor (definitely on the blander side compared to the packaged Haidilao or Little Sheep mushroom soup bases). Everything was buffet style, so you can get up and grab whatever you want without having to wait for someone to bring it to you. They had a decent selection of fish balls, vegetables, and sauces, though only had two meat options: lamb and beef (and these were kept in a freezer). You can also order rice, youtiao (Chinese fried dough sticks), and scallion pancakes for free as part of your meal. The youtiao was meh, but the scallion pancakes were good. Sushi also came free with your meal, though I didn't try it. Overall I would give this place a 3.5/5. I think this is a good alternative to Kintaro. It definitely has a better selection of broths, and it's comparable in terms of quality and variety of seafood, vegetables, sauces, and other dipping ingredients. I do think the price here is a bit too high though, considering the hotpot ingredients here are not the freshest and Kintaro is $18 for AYCE lunch hotpot. However, this might be worth it if you live in/near Solon!

My friend and I came here for hotpot one Saturday evening. We were able to be seated right away. We each ordered our broth of choice and it was brought out and put on a stovetop to keep warm. Next we were able to go up to the buffet style layout of different foods: veggies, meat; seafood, noodles, etc. you can choose which items you'd like to put into your hotpot. There is also a sauce station where you can create your own sauce for the hotpot. Okay this food was so good! I haven't had hotpot in a while, so this definitely hit the spot, the service was also great and the space itself was clean. They also offer Korean BBQ and sushi as well. I would definitely come back here the next time I'm in Cleveland!

I have had Yi Hot Pot for lunch twice over the last few months and have been pleased both times. The staff are friendly and attentive and I like that the AYCE hot pot ingredients are self-serve. Sauce bar is very complete and on par with some of the best hot pot places I have dined. I thought that the lunch options were quite diverse and I did NOT go away hungry. I like that some of the marinated BBQ meats are also good to cook in the hot pot. The only downside is that this is an expensive ticket, especially when paying dinner prices, so it is a special treat. I am looking forward to bringing my out-of-town relatives for our traditional Christmas Eve Asian meal. The interior of the place seems renovated in the last few years and was clean and pleasant. Seems like it could get a little tight and loud if it's a busy session, but my understanding is that hot pot is supposed to be a boisterous affair with friends and family. 請慢用

Frozen, low quality meat. The ambiance is fine, but the food simply isn't up to snuff whatsoever.

I should have known when, while on the phone placing our order, I asked if she would include a Takeout Menu to our bag & she said they don't offer that. She suggested I can always look at the online menu.....you know, the online menu with no prices. The seafood entrees clearly state on the menu that they come with soup, salad, vegetables & rice. There were no salads in our bag. Our teriyaki shrimp was in a sauce the consistency of water. We were told pickup in 25 minutes but it was not ready until 50 minutes after our call & there were only 4 occupied booths. We ordered shumai, shrimp teriyaki & shrimp tempura. It came to $56. For an appetizer we tried the hamachi nigiri, which did not disappoint. For entrees we had shoyu ramen and chicken tempura curry. The broth of the ramen was authentic and warmed our bellies. The curry (I ordered medium spicy) was delicious and mouth watering. While they do not serve alcohol, you are welcome to BYOB, which I prefer since restaurants don't always offer the type of alcohol I like and it takes me forever to decide! The Cab that we brought paired nicely with our meal. If you get there before 6 pm and want alcohol, Miles Market is next door. Also the Shell gas station sells beer and wine. The restaurant is family owned and operated. Very knowledgeable and if you're like us and know your Japanese food, they have a Japanese menu! We will definitely be back to sample some of their other dishes!

We were seated right away. The hostess gals were pleasant in greeting us and seated us. A high and open ceiling, plenty of color and lighting. A very nicely kept restaurant. We asked our waitress if there were any gluten free options and she said, "Yes, some naturally, some things can be modified. My Mom had the naturally gluten free Pad Thai. A classic that she always gets and enjoyed it with the chicken and shrimp. I had GF Chicken Fried Rice. The portion was plentiful. I had a couple leftover portions in the following days. I enjoyed just as much as the initial serving. Sweet and sour chicken was crispy and plentiful. My dad and brother aren't much for describing food. My brother's girlfriend and her mom loved their food. They enjoyed the whole experience of having bother moms there for mother's day. I have driven past Imperial Wok plenty of times. Been to plenty of the surrounding restaurants and businesses. Glad I was able to get in with family and friends and have a full meal. I could see myself coming back and having some Chinese cuisine when I'm not driving out to somewhere else at five dollars a gallon for gas. Great overall experience!

My date got takeout from here--the most standard order possible: sesame chicken, lo mein and appetizer of potstickers. The lo mein was offensive. They used skinny rice noodles and used all oil but no seasoning. The noodles were bland and HARD; like, just no. How do you mess up lo mein??!! The chicken was also bland and drowning in some radioactive orange concoction that was all corn starch. The "potstickers" were undercooked and burnt at the same time. Like, what? The tips were hard but the body of the dumpling was like chewing on uncooked dough. Lordy lord, it was like made by people who had only heard about Chinese takeout. I had some dishes again at a party and another time ordered in at a smaller get together. Okay, quality was slightly better and comparable to Panda Express (current, not how it was before). Presentation looks like it would be better but then you bite into everything and it's just not that good. Solon, we can do better! Can we get a better and more authentic Chinese place? C'mon guys!

Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.
