We stayed for a month. First 3 weeks were great minus the trash not getting picked up weekly. Mark…read morekept the grass cut well esp having to fix it when it broke once. Pete leveled the roads and got rid of the mud spots! The campground was pretty full and the number of bags going in, matches the volume of people there. I contacted the owner and he blamed it on someone in the apt there. The recycling was never picked up or dropped off for the entire month. Fast forward to last week. Police came in several times when the owner returned. It was apparent after seeing him with Mike's hard drink in hand in the morning, that's the problem. This guy drives the tractor then and smashes a bunch of things including a picnic bench. I was scared he was going to hit my RV when he drove it. Then he starts trying to fix the road himself (it was fine when he came back). He starts dumping dirt all over it. Pete fixes it again after that. Oh yeah the dog park, they didn't put in a swing gate so the dog park is way overgrown and they can't get a mower in. Who wants to take their dog into a tick park? Then comes Friday and we see him go outside in the morning during the daylight and take a poop outside in public (bathrooms are across the street from him). Fast forward to when we are trying to leave and he's pouring mud all over the roads. Thankfully he didn't cover the one side and we were able to get out. The campground owner needs rehab, 100%. I don't feel he's a bad guy, just stuck in a drunken stupor. This is a quiet, no-frills campground. We never had any issues with the water electric or any hook ups. We definitely did not drink the water there as we never drink campground water anyway. Sites are pretty level. It rained heavy a few times and our site stayed pretty dry. As long as the owner is not present, things are ran and look great.

Rates are competitive. The grounds and facilities are meticulously maintained. Shower rooms are very clean. We leave our travel trailer here and come several times a month for a few days. That is one way to cope with the fuel crunch and not have your RV/TT sit in your driveway unused. I would recommend Misty Mountains without reservation.

This was the first season the campground, and the 11 full hookup sites were well equipped with a gravel pad, fire ring, and a large wooden picnic table. A large play-set for children and a lake to fish in are ready to use. There is a lot of room between sites, and tall trees provide partial shade. The setting is close to a quiet rural road where Amish buggies frequently go by. A farm with donkeys and a horse is at the back of the sites. There is one private full bathroom with a shower, and one private toilet. Lake Lucy is only 15 minutes drive to the hiking trails of Cook Forrest State Park. There are several rail trails for biking nearby, and the Drake Oil Well State Historic Park in Titusville. Drake's well was the first commercially successful oil well in the world! Our hosts were amazing and open to communication. Firewood is available to buy at the campground. Nearby trails are the Route 66, Oil City, Samuel Justus, and Allegheny National Forest Trails.

Following the passing of the founder the park underwent significant changes with the removal of amusements, trains, and the zoo. In 2017, the Steinman family took the reins, embarking on an extensive revitalization journey. They meticulously renovated the pavilion and installed crucial water and sewer lines, resurrecting the campground and pavilion for their own enjoyment and that of the Mealy and Steinman families and friends. Now, after years of cherished private use, we are thrilled to open our gates once more to the public! Our campers can indulge in a myriad of activities, including fishing, biking, and swimming in the serene waters. Both ponds offer an angler's paradise, boasting bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, and carp. The top pond, in particular, has yielded impressive bass catches. Conveniently located just a few miles away from a dollar store for any needed supplies, with a nearby gas station at the end of the road, our site provides easy access to essential amenities. Moreover, we are a short drive from Cook Forest and the Tionesta Reservoir, ensuring a wealth of recreational opportunities for our guests. On-site facilities include water access for campers and a well-appointed bathhouse, featuring a full bathroom with a shower and an additional half bath.

My family and I had reservations for check in on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the…read moreresort of Treasure Lake is Dubois, PA. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, our arrival was pushed back to 'after hours'. In the spirit of transparency, I called Customer Service multiple times to no avail and unfortunately, nobody from Customer Service retrieved the voicemails which asked that a callback be made to sort out check-in. After several hours of no returned phone calls, I called the Bluegreen Customer Service line. I was informed that we could check-in at any time. When we arrived at the resort at midnight on Monday, September 15, 2025 (00:01 9/16/25), the check-in office was closed. I made another phone call in hopes to get help on checking in so early in the morning, but instead of receiving assistance, was informed that the PIN code will not be released to me until I paid for incidentals and a cleaning fee. Herein lies the problem: Bluegreen neglected to properly provide after-hours check-in instructions, nor do they properly answer their phones when they are a service provider of travelers, and lastly and most importantly, they do not communicate 'hidden' charges; thus, leaving clients confused and aggravated upon arrival. Out of exhaustion, I provided the Bluegreen representative my credit card in order to move forward. After putting in the PIN code, the box was void of an envelope with my name; thus requiring me to call once again at which point the representative stated that my envelope would be under the name: Debra Turner. This practice is illogical at best. I ask, how would any of your clients know that their booking would be placed under a name completely unrelated to who they are? If this is in deed an ill-formed practice of Bluegreen's, then how come the representatives fail to mention this when you're speaking to them on the phone? Furthermore, how and why was this not communicated in any of my booking confirmation statements? As a professional, I'd highly recommend you reconsider this practice and suggest that you engage with a consultancy agency that can better build your business so that it's more desirable to clients. Aside from the atrocious check-in process, the resort is poorly lit and we had a difficult time navigating and finding our way to our townhouse. This is a hazard and again, something that should be addressed. Lastly, once in the townhouse, we noticed that the coffee filters were dirty and the bedroom carpets had not been vacuumed. In a competitive market where we can go anywhere, but chose Bluegreen, my advice would be to address these issues, look into the neglect of the properties, and provide customer service training at all levels of the organization.
