Prasini salad with bifteki and Charred eggplant
    Maryam G.

In fairness, I had extremely high hopes for this place when I heard an actual Greek restaurant had opened /and/ that it was provoking rave reviews all over the internet. So maybe that affected my overall review. There were some definite hits but also some real misses with our experience. Mainly we liked the bifteki. It was charred just right, juicy, and flavorful. We'd go back just for this. The fries were also great, and I am almost never moved to say that. The salad ingredients were fresh, though the dressing was bland and vinegary. The charred eggplant wasn't charred at all, and the rice wasn't up to par with what we know of Greek rice. The zucchini fritters were terrible--burned and greasy with an unpleasant texture and no discernible zucchini flavor. We ordered takeout, and our only interaction with the staff on the phone was not super encouraging. When I asked if the bifteki is only beef or a mix of beef and lamb, she replied, 'I don't know' without offering to check. It proceeded along those lines. It's all fine; they're new and busy, so being curt on the phone is to be expected. But it wasn't service that would bump up my rating of my experience. All in all, I might give Kipos another try if I were in the neighborhood and in the mood. And I absolutely encourage you to try it; just manage your expectations better than I did!

OPA ! You wanted the Greek experience you got the Greek Experience the Hottest GYRO in the Land KIPOS! With KIPOS you'll savor Old World Greek authenticity throughout your entire meal. The owner of this place a created a Grecian diner for to enjoy... The essence of the quality gyro is proof KIPOS is authentic Athenian cuisine created by the Greek God's... For my dining pleasure I'm a huge gyro lover but the fries added to the mix well that's a love or hate debate. I extract them and eat separate. It's like a bonus with your gyro so who's arguing with me... Anyways the real rock star item is the Loukaniko Plate. The owner slaves in the back room making his own home made Greek sausages from scratch. Serving the fries with a splash of Tzatziki a few splices of red onion and covering those crispy fries then adding the sausages on top. Any Greek worth his weight understands that fries can only be served with crispy. BRAVO ! This is why is so awesome! Ok, now that you understand the high quality of the food well the service is warm & friendly. Always warmly greeted like your one of the extended family. The dining area looked like a rustic Greek place from Santorini with wood floors and the white & blue interior. The front window is on a opening system like a garage door so when the warm weather heats up the open the front of the building... So that's more thoughts on this amazing diner. It cozy , friendly & savory...

**vegetarian review** Pretty decent food. I got the zucchini fritter wrap, falafel plate and spanakopita. This was to go order and it did take a min to get ready but it was a sunny weekend so could be more crowded than usual. The food tasted fresh and delicious. I didn't like the spanakopita as much, too much dough to filling ratio. But overall happy to have another Greek place in neighbourhoods

Such a cute, casual Greek spot and absolutely perfect for a sunny day. The vibe is bright, airy, with crisp blues and whites that make you feel like you've been transported somewhere in the Aegean. There's only one four-seater table on the sidewalk , and we lucked out and snagged it. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table. Everything can be ordered either as a gyro or as a plate with your choice of sides. The zucchini fritter was the standout for me. Perfectly charred, crispy on the outside, and paired beautifully with the lemon yogurt sauce. I ordered the zucchini fritter gyro, which came stuffed with fries--the authentic Greek way--and it was so freaking good. I was completely stuffed by the end of the meal. My partner got the zucchini fritter plate with zucchini chips, while the kids ordered the chickpea fritter plate with the smoky burnt eggplant dip and a side of fries to share. Everything was delicious, the portions were just right, and the whole meal felt fresh and satisfying. This place has been on my list for a while, and I'm so glad we finally made it here. If you're craving a little Greek island energy without leaving Seattle, this is a great spot to check out.

What a cute little spot!! A Phinney gem, for sure...inside is very bright, modern, and curated to make it seem like you stepped into Greece. And it does feel like it! With the clean white walls, splash of blues with olive branches scattered throughout. They were soooo friendly too. Superb service! The food was super yummy and flavorful! We had the chicken and pork pitas, and both were so juicy and seasoned so well. The pitas are a hefty size, too. So we came out super full!! You can make it a plate for a few bucks more. And the Avgolemono soup!!! That was such a nice, surprisingly flavorful dish! It reminded me of congee....a refreshing congee with a hint of lemon. So comforting! They have great kid options, as well. You can pick any of the proteins and get either fries or rice with it. I highly recommend going to Kipos for some excellent Greek food and good vibes!

Kipos is a hidden gem tucked into Phinney Ridge. It's a beautiful and sunny space that matches the vibe of the food perfectly. Speaking of food, everything I tried was delicious, with the chicken salad being a particular standout. The pork gyro was also very tasty, but could have been a tad warmer. I'm looking forward to trying the lamb meatball next time! Great service and affordable pricing seal the deal and make this a stop you won't regret.

Chicken Souvlaki Plate with Halloumi Fries; Horiatiki Salad

Go here now! I met a friend for lunch here. The owner was very welcoming and answered all of our questions. My friend is vegetarian and has celiac, so he shared a marked up menu with us that showed which items would be best for her diet. I am still thinking about my chicken souvlaki plate a week later. The skewer was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and had unique flavor. I opted for their house-made lemon yogurt sauce which was divine. I also opted for the Halloumi fries. Let me tell you - I had to have a moment when I tasted them. My friend's Horiatiki salad was just right. We were both scraping our ever-so-cute dishes at the end. I can't wait to return!

Kipos Greek caught my eye earlier driving my usual route through Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. It had taken the spot of a former Thai restaurant, and located between Windy City Pie and Ada's Restaurant & Bar. I had the opportunity to take in a late lunch on 5/26/24. I was able to snag a parking spot around the corner. I placed my order at the front counter with the upbeat staff member and was given a number. I sat at the window counter to dine onsite. The other folks during my visit had placed takeout orders. It's a modest spot with a few tables and counter seating around the periphery. Bright with spare wall decor. I would describe it as fast casual with a focused Greek menu. I chose the plate ($16.50) with the selections of spicy lamb meatballs, lemon rice pilaf, tzaziki sauce, red onion, tomato, and warmed pita cut into quarters. Definitely save a portion of your meatball or pita to get all the tasty remainders. Kind of unwieldy using flatware against the corners of the rectangle enamel coated dish. Real lemon because I found a seed in my rice. Now with lemon and rice...if only there was avgolemeno on the menu. Enjoyed my combo plate. I also ordered the Classic Loukoumades ($10.50), which were fried dough balls topped with cinnamon, walnuts, and Greek honey. I ate two and packaged the rest to take home. This was later devoured by The Homie and given a thumbs up. I prefer the loukoumades from another Greek spot in Magnolia and of course, what's served at the St. Demetrios Greek Festival. This was one of three presentations of this sweet treat, another one topped with Nutella and crushed Oreos and the other with a custard filling & phyllo flakes. Nice addition to the neighborhood and located proximate to the Woodland Park Zoo.
