    Chicken Shawarma Plate (extra meat)
    Kaelin H.

I've seen Falafelville parked here for a while now, I'm assuming they're permanently stationed in this location for now, and I'm SO glad I checked them out! My order was ready super fast and with such care too. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with extra meat and truly these portions are so generous! The plate comes with well spice flavorful chicken over a bed of fluffy turmeric rice. On top is drizzled a garlic sauce and more seasonings. Additionally the plate has a serving of hummus, salad, and a warm pita. I can tell their ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The portion for this plate is extremely generous and I definitely have leftovers saved for later! It's definitely more of a takeout place since there aren't really many tables to sit at. It's an unassuming truck in a small parking lot of a dry cleaners, but don't let that fool you. This place is a delicious spot for a fast, fresh, and delicious meal.

Sooo yum every time! They are also super fast and kind here :) I usually get the falafel plate but this time tried the lamb and beef gyro plate and the chicken shawarma plate- both were deliciousness

I was walking home and on a whim decided to try this new place out and oh wow am I glad I did. The Chicken shawarma plate was fresh, the pita was nice and fluffy and very delicious. I also got a chocolate roll that blew me away. I will be coming back here to try more of the menu and definitely will be getting another chocolate roll. On top of great food the service was also kind and warm. A wonderful interaction on an other cold and dreary day.

I don't know if it's because it was late at night and I was hungry or what but I ended up really enjoying this place! I ordered a falafel sandwich with a side of fries. I think what really made it for me was the hot sauce. I thought the food was just okay without it but with it??? Amazing! I didn't necessarily love the fries but they did the job at the time. Since this was my first ever time in Seattle, I got to talk to one of the workers on the food truck who was super sweet! It seems like they get a lot of regulars there so when he gets new people, he loves to introduce them to the city! If you're looking for a late night food truck spot, this is for sure the place to go!

I had high hopes for this place since it had 5 stars. But there was some bitter taste going on throughout the falafel salad that I had. It was not good. Not sure if it was the dressing on top or the cucumbers. The chicken shawarma sandwich was good. The fries were stale :/ Food was delivered quite fast tho!

Lamb & Beef Gyro Plate + Falafel (Comes with Pita bread)

My new fav mediterranean spot around cap hill! I usually go for the lamb and beef gyro plate (picture below), it's always tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The portion size is so generous that I usually get two meals out of it. The fresh, crunchy side salad is a great pairing. The owners are incredibly kind and service has always been fast. It's a meal that leaves you feeling satisfied, and a healthier alternative to a lot of the places nearby.

The food was amazing and the service was great! The truck looks new and clean. I will be coming back!

Filled with corporate slop bowls to fuel up tech bros, you won't find a decent meal anywhere on this side of the lake. But Tanoor is kind of like that special someone who has been there your whole life but you've always looked past for greener pastures. This restaurant was staring me right in the eyes for years, and I didn't realize how magnificent it was until today. When you walk in you are greeted by warm, fresh and fluffy pita. Guess what, IT COMES WITH THE MEAL! Everyone knows I'm a sucker for some free bread. But don't let these Lebanese pillows fill you up, the dip marathon has just begun. The menu here is unlike anything I've ever seen. You can get lost trying to figure out what to order for lunch, so I would advise consulting the waitstaff for guidance through this delightful maze. I just looked on their menu to figure out what the fries that I ate were called, and I can't find them for the life of me. But they had their own incredible dip completely covering them. At one point we had 4 different dips on the table, and I'm not sure how they got there. 1) The dip on the fries 2) Spicy hummus (not that spicy, incredibly tasty) 3) Za'tar that comes with the pita 4) Yogurt sauce that came with the Kabob combo Everything comes with something else here. And since I was having an electric conversation with my good friend, I sort of lost track of everything that we ordered. But if you love dipping things in other things as much as I do, you will love Tanoor!

I highly recommend the combo for two to three people as you get a variety of different appetizers and all of the main kabobs. However, a couple of things that really made this experience mediocre. First, the meat was overcooked even though I asked for medium rare. Most of the meat came out medium well. The rice was undercooked and hard when you bit into it. The server could have been more attentive.. didn't come back to check on us, even though the restaurant wasn't super busy. The biggest disappointment is that this establishment passes on a 5% fee to help pay for their staff's benefits. They stay it's optional and they can take it off but it's very distasteful. The owner should reconsider this and build this expense into the pricing of their menu. Otherwise their wait staff is going to feel slighted when customers leave less tip because of this additional fee. Overall, this is a solid place, but the experience was just average considering all aspects, and therefore the three star rating.

For some reason I tried it again today and was once again disappointed. Placed an online order to go: Greek fries and a side of gyro meat to throw on top, since sandwiches and bowls are $13-$16! Insane. I saw the bowls, they're not large. Not a great deal by any stretch, but that's lunch hour in Seattle I guess. The fries were soggy, barely any feta on top, and the "gyro" meat is just freakin' weird. It tastes like lamb meatballs. Not at all what I expected. On top of this, my order was not ready and I ended up waiting 15 minutes. Three people in line in front of me and three behind, but just one guy behind the counter taking and prepping orders, tickets popping out of the machine left and right until he cried uncle for some help. "Wow it got busy fast, went from no orders to backed up!" Yeah dude, it's 12:15. People get off at 12, call it in, take a piss and start walking to the restaurant, just like every lunch rush every day in a busy commercial core. I also dislike having to wait in line for a pickup order. I'm in a hurry. If you can't accommodate, I can go somewhere else. Just leave my order out! I did grab a jar of grilled preserved lemons to take home. Not sure what to use them for but they look delicious. All in all, not great, again.

The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. Compared to other places, I would say the chicken shawarma has less veggies, including the pickled ones, so for those who do not like pickled stuff, this would be a good version to try. The sandwich is served with a copious amount of the garlic sauce, which was nice but probably a calorie bomb:).
