Horrible customer service as soon as we walked in the only girl was giving the most attitude on her face and rolling her eyes and the workers didn't even try to hide that they were annoyed we came inside for some ice cream. YummYYYY!!! This place is a tourist-y shop with a gimmick - mason jar parfaits! BUT they are SO GOOD! The price is tourist prices ($12/mason jar) but you get plenty of ice cream and toppings throughout. I actually put mine back in the freezer and was able to get 2 servings out of it! The lines moved quickly but on a busy day, they have 2 and it can easily form a line as the shop is small but they move you through quickly. I was so excited to come across The Crafty Cow. I always wanted to try one of those colossal milkshakes with all the cookies and fun stuff added, but I hadn't come across one. UNTIL NOW :) The milkshake was super fun and absolutely delicious. The shake wasn't thick and it didn't have much flavor (no cookies blended in)... but it was fun and the whipped cream was delightful. The staff is friendly albeit standoffish at times ( but they're young folks). The young women in my photo was especially friendly and sweet. Oh course I could not finish my entire milkshake and luckily my toddler was on hand to finish it. Overall I give this little shop a thumbs up. Its adorable inside- think... old fashioned ice cream shoppe meets Manhattan poshness. Its cute. I would however- brand better. Very overpriced, had a bunch of flavors/options to choose from. Wish there were a few non-dairy or vegan options available. Cups would leak soon after we had them in our hands, very flimsy and lost shape as we ate. Their spoons were also so cheap and thin that they bent when used. We ended up licking the ice cream from our cups because they were that bad! For the price, they should definitely have better packaging for the products. read more

This is a pretty cute place that my hubby and I stopped at on a hot day. The staff was super friendly and nice. The flavor that I ended up getting was nutty salted caramel ice cream. It was pretty awesome and just the right portion to share. We got a small one. It was sorta expensive but heck, we're on vacation! Haha Place is clean and sorta small, but we continued walking anyways. Don't forget to check the other side of the entrance for more flavored!!! Super disappointed in this establishment. When our children ordered they weren't asked what kind of cone they wanted and when the girl behind the counter grabbed one, and our kids asked for another one, she copped an attitude and said no. Then when it was mentioned that our one sons had an allergy two of the girls immediately began laughing and high fives because they didn't have to make the ice cream. She looked right at us and literally said 'oh well he can't get ice cream then' . When i asked why not, the other girl behind the counter (what I would assume to be the shift manager) tried to explain the allergy policy, the other girls began to cackle and laugh and get the other customers behind us to mention out loud to get over it, deal with it, etc. she was legit making fun of my kid. As others have noted, the pricing is deceptive. Their menu says "ICE CREAM Small 4.69" I ordered a small ice cream cone, expecting to pay $4.69, but was instead charged $6.27 (including tax). When I asked why, I was told that the 4.69 is for the ice cream only - the cone is an additional 99 cents, so a small cone is $5.68 (plus, apparently, over 10% sales tax). The ice cream itself is just OK, but certainly not worth the price. I'll stick to Ben & Jerry's in the future. . read more

Being that this business is located in a tourist city you would think that there would be a more welcoming environment at this business. Boy was I wrong! Upon entering the Crafty Cow I was not greeted and the body language of the 7 employees working expressed that they didn't want to be bothered. If the employees were assisting other customers upon me entering, then I wouldn't expect them to greet me right away. The thing is, there weren't any customers in the shop! The "manager", who didn't give her name when I asked, had a very condescending tone and her responses were very sarcastic. I would love to come back and do a customer service training workshop with the employees here. My experience as a District Manager and Corporate Trainer would have these employees serving with excellence. Hopefully the owner will see this review and put together a customer service action plan for this location. read more

Called this location ahead of time and asked when they close. Was told 9:00 PM and confirmed the time. Drove 30 min to Barefoot Landing and arrived at this atrocious location at 8:31 PM. Doors were locked and the girls were inside. We called the store again, the same girl who answered the phone about 30 minutes earlier told us that they just decided to close early. After driving 30 minutes to this location, I can say I was highly disappointed. Now I am not one to leave a bad review, and have 2 years experience in the ice cream industry in a beach town. I understand wanting to cut out a little earlier but, when a customer calls an hour before you close and you decide to call it quits 30 minutes before you informed the customer that you were closing leads to poor management. We were not the only disappointed customers as many others were trying to get in as well. Crafty Cow is losing a lot of business deciding to close early especially on a Saturday night. There were 10 of us in our group and two other groups also waiting outside. This is definitely not the way to run a business. read more
