This is one of the best Uyghur places in Sydney, I reckon. If you're trying to differentiate it from the other nearby Uyghur place, this is the upstairs one.
The serving sizes are very generous, and the menu is very meat-oriented (especially lamb). If you've got a big group you can pre-order a leg of lamb, a half lamb or a whole lamb. They cook it during the day and serve it to you almost as soon as you sit down. Then they give you a carving knife and a plastic glove and it's your responsibility to dig in and serve it up (which was really nice actually). When they served the lamb to us they almost lost the whole thing off the plate (and it nearly landed on our very pregnant friend), it was all quite Pythonesque for a moment there.
The restaurant is crowded, with tables crammed next to each other. They don't generally take group bookings for weekend nights, unless you promise your group will order $25 per person worth of food. Considering how big the servings are, that's actually fairly tricky. This place does get busy on weekends, though it's usually manageable to get a table on weeknights.
It's BYO, and it takes a bit of effort to get enough glasses and all that biz, but they happily put a whole case of beer in the fridge for us, uncomplainingly. Yes, we were a big, noisy crowd, and they dealt with us patiently and politely, even though we were no doubt quite annoying.
Food recommendations: the cucumber salad is fresh and surprisingly tasty, and the eggplant dish is gooey and delicious. there is a also a chilli fried chicken stir fry which was very tender. Other than that - there's a lot of lamb, .... and did I mention the lamb? The boys at our table were in their element. This is heavy food, no question, and you can really see how it's a mix of Chinese / eastern European food. No chopsticks - this is knife and fork territory.
