Awesome food, amazing service and great ambience. Tried the appetizers and few main course items and everything was on par.

The atmosphere is cool and laid-back perfect spot to hang out with friends. It's not overly crowded during the day, which made it even better for watching the game and enjoying the hookah. I didn't try the food since I had just eaten beforehand, but I'd definitely come back to check out the menu next time. Overall, a chill spot if you're looking for somewhere easygoing to spend a few hours.

I ordered the catfish with hushpuppies, and my friend ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, and sautéed bell peppers. The food was okay. The mashed potatoes were tasty. That was the highlight of our meal. Now, the service was poor. Our server kept disappearing for long periods of time, and it was very frustrating. Most of the servers need a class on customer service and waiting tables, but I guess no one cares when you get your tip regardless of how you treat your customers. I feel like this place should have been packed on a Saturday night, but it wasn't. Sapphire has the potential to be great, but there is most definitely a lot of work to be done, starting with the staff and possibly advertise more.

Soooo....I'm going to start by saying I think this place is newly opened so I won't be harsh with…read moremy review but I'm going to be honest. Me and my girls visited this location on a Friday night around 10:50pm-12:30am. We made reservations online and we're late but they were able to hold our reservations since there was hardly anyone there. I would say there was a total of about 35 people there including the staff the night we went. Parking is free as the location is located in a strip mall. The lounge itself is beautiful! Instagram friendly if you're into that type of thing. The Dj was good, she did a few like dances and tried to hype the crowd up. Food: my friend ordered shrimp and fries. The food was decent. I'm not sure how much it was but the shrimp were big. Drinks: cute but No alcohol at all. Literally tasted like juice. I forgot which drinks we had but the drinks had candy in it. Very fruity. The drinks were $13. We also ordered shots of Don which were $13 a shot as well. Hookah: we had a hookah that cost between $30-$40. I'm guessing it was the cheaper one since they have other options that cost more. They allow you to mix three flavors which was great. However, ours was really weak. We didn't even finish it. Maybe the higher options were stronger. Now on to the service. Let me be very clear...The 2 stars is only because the location is new and hadn't had time to figure things out yet. If it wasn't for that, I would give it a 1 start based on service alone. Our server was nice and attentive the whole night but the issue came towards. Once we were ready to leave, we asked for our checks. My friend and I asked her to split the hookah between the two of us since we were the only two smoking hookah. She said ok. When it was time to pay, she said she was going to cash out our food and drink ordered then the hookah. We didn't think anything of it so we said ok. Cashing out with the food and drinks, we were not told that they add an automatic 15% gratuity and it did not show on the screen when she showed us our total so I added an extra 20% tip. Same for my friend and her tab. THEN, she goes to split the hookah between the two of us on separate tab, which also added another 15% gratuity each tab!!! No ma'am. She tried it! She tried to get four (4) 15% gratuity tips and 2 additional tips since we were unaware the first time we added additional gratuity. We asked her why we were being charged more gratuity when we already paid and paid extra? She said gratuity is added on every bill, even if it's 1 item. I asked if that was the case, why didn't she just add the hookah on our drink and food bill then? She said it had to be rung up separately. My friend asked to speak to the manager and after some professional back and forth, the manager agreed to remove the 2 gratuities that would have been charged on the split hookah tab. Good customer service by the manager for removing the additional gratuity. Be mindful of your tab...15% gratuity is automatic and make sure if you have to split anything, split it on 1 tab. I'm not sure if the menu mentioned that gratuity was automatically added but the serves sure didn't. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind gratuity being added but at least be ethical and make the party aware. And definitely don't split tabs to get more.

Went last night and honestly? Felt like a full-on Friday, even though it wasn't. That tells you…read moreeverything about the energy at this place. This spot just gets the late-night vibe right. Walked in, lights low in the best way, and the DJ was straight up locked in. Music was to the point, no filler, no random stuff that kills the mood, just the right tracks at the right time. You could actually feel the room moving with it. That's the difference between somewhere that plays music and somewhere that knows how to set a vibe. Here's the part that won me over though: the kitchen stays open late. Like actually late. Everywhere else around here is shutting the kitchen down by 10, so if you're a night person you're usually stuck with nothing. Being able to get real, hot food well past that? Super refreshing, and honestly kind of rare. Go in hungry, it's worth it. Hookah was smooth too, clean pulls all night and the flavor held up the whole time. And the staff were friendly and on it, checked on us without hovering. You can tell they actually want you to have a good night. If you're out in Alpharetta and want somewhere to chill late that still has real energy and a kitchen that doesn't quit at 10, this is the move. DJ, hookah, late-night food, all of it hit. Easy five stars, we'll be back.

I have been coming to Charcoal N Chill for over three years, including before the current…read moremanagement took over. Over that time, I've had many great experiences here and have recommended the place to numerous friends and family members. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left me disappointed. A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to attend a Friday evening event. I arrived as I normally would, only to discover there was a cover charge and a bouncer at the entrance. The cover charge itself was not the issue. What bothered me was how I was treated. During the interaction, the bouncer physically pushed me away from the entrance. I found that completely unnecessary and disrespectful. As a result, I asked to speak with the owner or someone from management because I did not feel comfortable discussing the situation with the bouncer, especially given how I had been treated. To my surprise, I was told that the owners had asked me to Zelle the cover charge. To be clear, I was never asking for a discount, exemption, or special treatment. I was simply trying to address the way I had been treated at the door and have a conversation with management. Over the years, I have spent a considerable amount of time and money at this establishment and have actively supported it by bringing many guests. I never expected preferential treatment because of that. What I do expect, however, is to be treated with basic respect and dignity. This review is not about the food, hookah, ambiance, or service inside the lounge, all of which I have genuinely enjoyed for years. It is about a customer experience and the choices made by management in handling that situation. A long-time customer who has consistently supported the business should not be made to feel dismissed or disrespected. I thought about this for more than ten days before posting because I genuinely enjoyed this place and did not want to leave a negative review. However, the experience stayed with me. Since then, I have stayed away despite having been a regular visitor. I sincerely hope management takes feedback like this seriously. Respect costs nothing, and it is often what customers remember most.
