Last week's lunch adventure found me at The Forum at Peachtree Corners and an absolutely lovely seafood lunch. We got the croissant loaf with whipped fig butter (literally causing me to salivate thinking about it now), seafood dumplings , salt and pepper sea bass and crabcakes We decided to indulge with a couple delightful cocktails- I got the lychee G&T and my friend enjoyed the cucumber basil matinee. For my first time, it was just okay. I tried the croissant loaf, nothing to write home about. I mean, it's a croissant. Perhaps ask for warm honey to make it better. Pour that on with the butter, now that's a good thought. They need something to make it stand out. I tried the shrimp and grits. First thing first, don't get this dish if you're really hungry. They bring it out in a really big bowl and it's just a little bit.. the chicken sausage is cut up whole like chopped hotdogs. It really looks lazy and unappealing. There was also a holiday drink menu in addition to the large wine list in a separate book. We started with the holiday themed Maple old-fashioned. It was quite tasty, but not for me due to the inclusion of walnut bitters. Allergies prevented me from fully enjoying that drink which consisted of bourbon to give it the holiday feel. My second beverage, which doubled as dessert was an eggnog flavored cocktail called Crème de Noel that was absolutely delicious! It consisted of bourbon, cognac, rum and flavored with cinnamon, allspice, fennel and ginger. We started off with the small plates, including crab cakes, and a beet carpaccio. Both were beautiful creations. The crabcakes had good flavor, but were way too small to be considered cakes... more like balls! The beet salad looked amazing, but was off-limits for me due to the inclusion of pistachios. May try during a future visit with the request for nut removal. We ordered one dish to share, and settled on the Halibut Oscar after several consultations with our amazing, knowledgeable server Niko. Niko provided great service and insight on many of the items we requested. He was pleasant and not pushy, allowing us time to peruse the menus and settle on our selections. The halibut was a decent size and accompanied by the thousand layer potato, which resembled a pan fried potato rectangle. All rested on a bed of asparagus. We had requested the sauce which included lump crab meat on the side, and it was the perfect pairing for the halibut! We conversed with the bartender on the way out and learned about the many bar offerings. I first tried Peche Modern Coastal one weekend for brunch with a girlfriend. To be completely honest, I had already had breakfast and was only planning to have a mimosa or two, but after smelling the amazing scents upon walking in - I knew I had to try "something." I settled on a simple waffle and syrup. The waffle was so fluffy, and flavorful - even without the syrup. They offer a variety of flavored mimosas. You can't go wrong with any. The restaurant is in The Forum outdoor mall so parking in front is a bit difficult to find but the mall will have more parking spots in the area. The restaurant has a high ceiling so it helps with the noise in the dining area. The ambience is nice with no loud music. The server has a good memory since he remembered all of our orders without taking notes. He's also very attentive. There's not much to complain about the place except for the food quality. It's not bad. It's just not up to the upscale build of the restaurant and the price range for similar restaurant models. The ingredients are not fresh and the food is either too salty or under flavored. We had: Lobster Bisque: it's okay Peche Oyster: it's pretty underwhelmed in flavor and the oyster is not as fresh Moules-frites (mussels & fries): the mussels are dry, not fresh, and don't taste good. The fries are salty. 2 Lobster Roll with different types of side dishes: the lobster roll is warm but overwhelmed with mayonnaise. It affects the flavor of the lobster and makes the bread go mushy fast. Overall, the service was good but the food really fell short of my expectations. This restaurant used to be the old Grace restaurant. In the middle corner of the forum in Peachtree corners. I've been here several times for multiple outings and business lunches, but never got a chance to write a review. This time we actually got a private seating upstairs. They have the main dining on the main level and a more private area upstairs big enough for just one big party. They also have the side outdoor patio. The restaurant has a European Sicily vibe. I always come back for their croissant loaf. It's one of my favorite restaurant breads. It's basically a croissant, but not in your traditional shape, it's in the shape of a traditional loaf of bread. It's easy to tear apart like a cinnamon bun. Service has always been good. This time since we had a bigger table I feel like we should have gotten two waiters, but our waiter was able to pull through ok. For the private dining, they made us do a prefix menu where we did family style for the appetizers and dessert that we were able to choose between six different main courses. We had a larger group with some that were gluten-free, vegetarian, and pescatarian. And they were able to accommodate us very well. Appetizers: The beet carpaccio, was very refreshing. I loved the white balsamic honey dressing on the side. The seafood dumplings was OK. I thought the yuzu aïoli was a little too thick and rich. I didn't taste the aromatic flavors of Yuzu. It tasted like the mayonnaise used at the Chinese restaurants for shrimp and broccoli. The Frito Misto it was a combination of battered shrimp, calamari, artichoke, and fish. For the main course I had the broiled halibut Oscar with colossal lump crab, asparagus, whipped potatoes, capers, drizzled with yuzu cream. It was very rich and creamy. If you're not into that, you can always ask for them to put the Yuzu cream on the side as I dip. The flavors were cooked well. Then we had three different desserts, a pecan cheesecake which I thought was really good. But I love those cheesecakes and nuts. The crème brûlée was also good light and not too sweet. The carrot cake and toffee sauce I've had before and it was really good and moist this time however not so much so. I do like the fact that they get creative and on the top of the cake you've got carrot shredding. This restaurant was so pretty, I wish I would have gotten a chance to sit inside . I came here when I was a little under the weather and sat outside on a very hot day. But it wasn't that bad because the huge umbrelllas helped. I ordered tea and they had a good selection. I then ordered the lobster bisque and it was soooo good! The flavor was amazing, but I do wish that there was more bisque. I felt like the portion of bisque was very tiny and only lasted for about 7/8 scoops :/. I was in the area and realized this restaurant was in my Yelp list of restaurants to try. This restaurant is located in the Forum Shopping center. It is difficult to find at night because the sign is not in lights. If you need a reference point- it is across from the store Fabrik. When I walked in with no reservation around 8pm I was immediately greeted and seated at a standard table near the bar. The bartender came over and introduced himself- he was so nice! I immediately ordered the croissant . I asked him what the number one seller was. He also told me his favorites. I ordered one of his favorites- the sea bass. My new addition has been black cod and I feel like sea bass is a second runner up and gives a similar consistency. The bread- oh my gosh!!! this was so unique. I always think of light and fluffy when I think of croissant. This was dense- but oh so good! It is served with a wildflower honey, sea salt, whipped fig butter. Your mouth is watering right?? It is truly addictive, but a must order if dinning here. The seabass came out in decent time. It was served over rice and chard. The sauce was a sherry soy, ginger & scallion relish. The seabass was cooked to perfection. Great combination of flavors. Only complaint- too much sherry soy- it made it too salty for my taste. Overall I enjoyed this dinning experience. Peche was an ok spot for me and ive been debating between a 3 or 4 star review, but ultimately I think the main dish that I got (and wasn't too happy with) is the main reason for the 3 stars. The inside is super gorgeous and the service is very upscale even though the brunch menu isn't that expensive so that was a big plus! We started with the croissant loaf and it was delicious! The butter was so smooth on the bread and the flakiness was perfect, if I had only had that this review would be a 5/5! Unfortunately the rest of our food wasn't that good which is why I'm moving the rating down to a 3. I had the duck hash and it was cooked well, but it was sooooo salty. I also tried my bf's chicken and waffles and it was the same problem of being way over salted! If the chefs at Peche can fix their over salting issue, I think the brunch would be a solid undeniable 4-5 stars, but because I tasted nothing but salt on my duck, I would only come back to eat their bread lol read more

Both in our party who ordered the $41 Halibut Oscar said it was extremely overdone; the "colossal lump crab" in the nearly indistinguishable portion of "Oscar" amounted to less than a teaspoon of crab. The $12 side of Risotto was flavorless, and the $34 Seafood Cannelloni dish was only marginally better. The $39 Pontchartrain was really good, but was clearly the exception in our group. Overall, if you're up for expensive apps and dessert, this is your place. But I'd steer clear of most entrees. read more

Wanted to check this place out since they replaced Grace 1720. The interior is still grown and sexy but we decided to sit outside since the weather was so nice and it was really a great idea. There is a warmth about this place that you feel instantly relaxed and fancy! Wayne was our waiter and he was really nice and knew the menu extensively. The menu has so many choices that you can become overwhelmed but his recommendations were on point! I called it brunch for the Gods! I came here on a Friday night and it was relatively not that busy. The space is nice and the staff is friendly. Our server was attentive and I never had to ask for anything because he was always asking before I could which is a plus :) We started with the Burrata & Peach and it's more of a Burrata salad. There wasn't much peach but as a salad it was yummy. I got the Truffle Pasta and although it smelled really good, it was pretty bland. Well, they have done it again - if you liked Stäge, the owners now have a fresh coastal version... This romantically themed restaurant is in the Forum where a former Italian restaurant used to be. Not a lot has changed in the ambiance, but the service and food have. The staff is charmingly fríendly and the menu is a decent blend of seafood tapas and entries, with some interesting cocktails that will surprise your palate and mello your mind. They have a table bread that is a cross between monkey bread and a croissant loaf. It's drizzeled in honey and makes a nice opening treat. All the dishes were presented well and nicely portioned. The lobster spaghetti is a big fav, we he tried it.. I needed a little more flavor, the pasta was a little dry and the lobster chewy.. but my friend's slightly differed and she enjoyed hers, so I think they could work on consistency. The halibut looked great and I'm told it was, however, it also could us a little more flavor. We passed on dessert, but will definitely be back. Came here this past Sunday 11/24 for a friend's bday dinner. The place is dimly lit, great for a romantic setting. Our server was a husky Hispanic man, very attentive. Now, the reason why I'm giving this visit 3 stars is because it took a very long time for our entrees to come out. Our apps came out quickly but our entrees? Over 30min. And there were only 2 other small tables. My friend was actually pretty agitated..... We heard alot of laugher coming from the kitchen so there was definitely alot of playing going on. Listen, I work in the restaurants industry as well, waiting over 30 min for some food is not acceptable especially when 1) the orders were not complex and 2) it wasn't a full house. Furthermore, I didn't like the Frito Misto; I give it a 2/10. It was over fried, super salty and that "calamari" was literally the bottom of the bag. There were no O rings, it was the worst part of calamari.... And there were 3 little shrimp and it was mostly the fried salmon balls. The shrimp cocktail was perfect though, however they should de-vein it more. My boyfriend's burger was perfect, my friend's partner said the lobster bisque was less than stellar... Either way, we were all a little annoyed with how long it took for us to get our food... I might come back to see what brunch is about but other than that, I most likely won't come back for dinner. ‍ sucks, but I had high expectations for this place.
