We've been here a few times, and each time it's been a great family dining experience. Most recently, we met with friends to watch a World Cup match before heading to the Johns Creek boardwalk for the July 3rd fireworks. There were 8 of us total (4 adults and 4 kids). The food was great. Everything came out on time at the same time. Service was on top of it. Food tasted great. I had the birria tacos, my wife had the veggie fajitas, our friends had the blackened salmon tacos and the birria quesadillas. The restaurant has a fair number of TVs, which allowed everyone to have a view of the soccer match. Definitely have to keep this place in mind for other family dinner nights. We live on the other end of Johns creek, so often head to Senior Patrons or Seven Tequilas. Terrazas is definitely better quality food than both of those restaurants. read more

Another great experience! Met our friends out last night & this time sat at the corner of the bar. Enjoyed margaritas & beer, chips & salsa, great conversation & a delicious meal!!! They have BIG tv's, a bar that was pretty busy on a Saturday night. Met @ 5:30 pm, left @ 7:30 pm- the entire restaurant filled up quick, as it always does. We were actually thankful to be at the bar b/c there were a lot of families (they deserve a night out too) with small children who had those high-pitched screams... hahahaha, our children are older, so we don't love that sound anymore. Great spot if you're craving both hole-in-the-wall food combined with the cantina/taqueria atmosphere! I was trying to find something close to my work, since my gf suggested Mexican, and this location seemed like a hole-in-the-wall. It sits off Medlock Bridge Rd, right near Abbott's Bridge. Tons of parking but a super busy parking lot. I was almost worried when I pulled up and thought it might be upscale. Prices here are semi-steep. We ordered a Margarona, Coconut Rita and two entrees and the bill (with my tip added) was $84. 1 star bump down because of that. Cantina pricing in full effect here. Our service was great and we did the outdoor seating (high top) over looking the parking lot. Not ideal but it was comfy and I liked the lighting. The inside is also really nice. My Margaona wasn't as big as I normally expect when I order these from other places BUT it was certainly stacked with alcohol. I opted to try something different with my meal order and do the Pollo Ranchero. Overall, it was good! Really wish, since this was cantina pricing/vibes, they would've slathered it up with some fresh pico. It was really good hole-in-the-wall food but not for the price. Everything was really good and I would've given 5 stars except our server seemed to have forgotten about us throughout the meal or she just didn't know she should check back periodically. It's kind of lame when the customer has to interrupt the server from talking with the other servers and tell her you'd like to order now or you'd like to leave so please bring the bill. The atmosphere, food, and drinks were great and it's a fun place to eat. We'll try it again and hopefully get a different server. And no, it wasn't particularly busy. 5 or 6 servers were huddling together in the back talking to each other for the hour we were there. read more

I was looking for a happy hour to wait out traffic, and stumbled across this lovely place! Location and Parking Located in John's Creek, parking is plentiful and free. Venue and Atmosphere Terrazas is spacious with plenty of bar seating, as well as a patio. The restaurant (including the bathroom) was spotless and filled with with colorful Latin themed decor. Service We sat at the bar and our bartender was very helpful and friendly. Food and Beverages We ordered house margaritas, guacamole, ceviche, and birria eggrolls. Everything was delicious! These are some of the best "house" margaritas I've ever had, seriously, and the portion sizes for food and drink were generous. We've come here twice and it was phenomenal both times! First of all, this restaurant has the BEST chips and salsa I've had at any Mexican restaurant in a very long time. The chips are light and crispy and the roasted tomato salsa is perfection! Service has always been top notch. Our servers both times had great recommendations. The first time I came here, I ordered the Salmon and Shrimp which comes which asparagus and mashed potatoes in a cheese sauce. It was delicious!! My family also loved their entrees as well. The second time here, I ordered the Burrito Grande with Shrimp. It was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. It included Shrimp and veggies in a burrito tortilla with guacamole, lettuce, rice and refried beans on the side. It was soooo good! Both times we sat on the patio and wouldn't change it. The seats are comfortable and there's plenty of tables on the patio to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone of all ages and can't wait to come back!! read more

A group of friends tried this local spot on a Saturday afternoon. The food was very fresh and such a variety of options from tacos , quesadillas, enchiladas, veggies bowls. I tried the shrimp lettuce wrap tacos and the coconut maranta was quite refreshing and tasty. Make sure to ask for a small size or you may be surprised for rather large glass that' may not be suited for a daytime outing but that's me. The portions are generous and everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and would be back. Located in John's Creek this is a great must try for a casual lunch or dinner. read more

Entered with a very large party of 40. Restaurant was not expecting us, but we were seated together on one side of the restaurant and quickly serviced. Enchiladas Supremas were very good - a trio of enchiladas (beef, chicken and beans and cheese). I didn't want beans and cheese and asked to sub for seafood . Had a choice between the shrimp or fish. Since the fish is tilapia, I opted for shrimp. Skinny pomegranate margarita was at least 16 oz. Food came out quickly and hot with shredded lettuce on top, which I liked. Terrazas is nestled in the busy plaza at the intersection of Abbotts Bridge & 141 Medlock Bridge . There is a parking lot but at dinner time expect it to look full. When you walk in you're greeted by a friendly host and will see lots of TVs and a beautiful bar at the front plus ample seating - booths or large tables good for groups. The waiters are friendly and make recommendations. There are weekly specials. The complimentary chips are brought warm and salsa is fresh!! The menu is extensive - great for everyone. We tend to stick to the delicious fajita quesadilla. The steak is tender and flavorful. The house table guac is superb. There is a burrito bowl with meat of choice mixed with creamy cheese and grilled veggies. The drinks are tasty- not strong for the price - but they go down smooth! read more

Big Mexican american restaurant and can hold a lot of people. For work parties or anything. They have a nice big bar as well. Service is nice and quick. Food came out hot and fresh. I don't have any complaints. Prices are reasonable but I got lunch and didn't look too hard at the rest of the menu. It's located in a big parking lot w many other shops and restaurants inside. I would come here again ! Oh and table salsa that's given for free is not spicy at all. Which I love but I'm sure some would just be surprised by that. Was running errands on the opposite side of town when we saw Terrazas- we actually were going to go next store but Terrazas looked more fun- so we dined in. Beautiful bar, spacious dining room (I'd be worried a little too big on a busy night), and friendly team. Menu looked expensive for Mexican fare, but portions were right in line with the prices, extremely fair. Service was attentive and friendly, very enjoyable. Y'all be careful coming for HH. I got off work early remembered Terrazas, home of the blandest Mexican food in town, had a decent HH. I ordered a skinny marg bc it said it was on HH not only on the sign outside of the restaurant but here on yelp. This sketchy place must be really struggling bc they charged me $17 dollars for one jumbo margarita without even asking if I wanted the HH version. When I confronted the BT she told me it was 4 SHOTs of liquor.. is that even legal ???? (It definitely wasn't 4 shots bc I had two and would be falling down) . Just be careful. Loved the flavor of the steak... tasted flame grilled. My husband got the Terraza Chicken off the chicken speciality menu (discounted on Wednesdays) and it was huge! Large piece of very flavorful chicken topped with 3 huge bacon-wrapped shrimp plus rice, beans, and a salad topped with fresh avocado. Yum!! The food is great, and the drinks are pretty decent. I do wish all of the margaritas were made with fresh lime, but you can request that. I've had the steak fajita quesadilla a few times and appreciate the fresh veggies! The service is typically really good, though we've had one sort of apathetic waitress. This place took over the old Abbott's Bar and Grill. My boyfriend decided to come here one late night and thankfully it was open because a lot of places close early in Johns Creek. Mexican restaurants can be hit or miss and this one was definitely a hit for me. If you're looking to watch a sporting event, it's a good place to go to as well. Lots of TVs, big bar. The only thing that was lacking was service. The server was very lukewarm. He barely came and checked on us, and when he asked us halfway through the meal, if we wanted anything to drink, we said no, just water, and he noticed my boyfriend's glass was empty. He walked off and we didn't see water for about another 10 minutes when they were not even busy. I think we were his only table. Overall however the food was great. The burrito bowl I got with chicken was on point. It came with a little bit of queso, guacamole, pico, rice, black beans, and I got a side of chipotle sauce. I couldn't finish it all. But I was happy to see such a large portion of food. The very next day it still tasted really good. My boyfriend got the steak quesadillas and also said that they were quite good. The chips and salsa to me were just OK, the salsa was pretty watery. The bowl, however, made up for it all and I would come back and hopefully have a better service experience next time. read more

I was stuck between 4 and 5 stars. 4.5 would have been perfect had it been an option. The table side guacamole was 10 stars. No doubt about it. Chunky, fresh, and generous. The pineapple jalapeño margarita was excellent. The entrees were definitely solid, but not unique. Very good versions of what can be found at other Hispanic restaurants. I definitely recommend this place. It will not disappoint. I believe they have the potential for that 5th star. They just need to find that unique dish, authentically Hispanic, that no one else has. We will be back. Oh, and get rid of the robotic server. I don't talk to or tip robots. I like a little genuine personality from my server.
