Since it is a Brazilian bakery, most of the options are savory (and look very interesting), but I was in the mood for a sweet breakfast, so my choices were a bit limited. I decided on the coconut bun. It was served warm (thanks for warming up for me!) and reminded me of a cinnamon bun, but with a sweet coconut filling instead of cinnamon. We were looking for someplace to grab a quick breakfast for our long drive ahead. The Brazilian cheese bread sounded so good, and they had açai bowls too. Ok, healthy is good too. Haha We ordered the energy bowl, regular cheeseball, and the Romeo & Juliet. Their cheese breads are delicious! I could eat a bunch of these in one sitting, but my belly would be quite upset (lactose intolerant). The guava and mozzerrella paring on the Romeo & Juliet was very nice! I really enjoyed that. The guava wasn't spread evenly, so I really only had a few bites that actually had both the guava and cheese. I'm thinking of going back to bring home a bag of frozen cheesballs. The açai bowl was hearty and sweet. I would suggest less honey. It was pretty good too. Some bites actually tasted like peanut butter and jelly. Ambiance: The cafe is a bit small, but has a few small tables to fit parties of 1-2, and 4 at most (about 1 or 2 tables are large enough). The cafe has a fair amount of baked goods in the glass display for people to pick from, and lots of prebottled beverages for a quick grab and go. Service: The service was very friendly and relatively quick! Food/Drink: The Brazilian latte was delicious and made with sweetened condensed milk! The sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich was delicious! It had your traditional breakfast sausage, and scrambled eggs, but sandwiched in between delicious Brazilian buns. The cheese reminded me of ricotta. Overall, it was delicious! The sandwich is a bit small, so people may want to consider ordering 2 if they are hungry or eat a larger portion. read more

Stopped here for a quick iced latte . We were staying in La Quinta by Wyndham, which is right next to this cafe . It was reasonable priced and there was seating options inside and outside as well . Bowled Over at Kitanda! I was on the hunt for an açaí bowl near the office (but wasn't about to cave for Joe & the Juice ‍) and stumbled across Kitanda--what a win! The açaí bowl was so good and the portion size was generous for the price . I also grabbed a tapioca cheese ball (gluten-free!) and it was the perfect little cheesy snack . The cafe itself is teeny-tiny--cute but limited seating, and no public restroom . I ended up taking my food back to the office, which honestly worked out fine. The woman working was kind, but when I asked for suggestions she didn't really offer much ‍. Overall, if you're craving something fresh, filling, and flavorful, Kitanda is worth the stop! read more

Ordered the 10oz açaí bowl + customization and the Romeo & Juliet sandwich, which has mozzarella cheese and guava jam. Very quick service, was able to walk in and walk out within 5 mins. The only option for tipping is cash. The sandwich was really good, the thickness of the bread allows you to perfectly experience the chewiness, I think it was a little more jam than I prefer but that's just personal preference. Out of all the kitanda espresso's that I've been to I would say this is my favorite one. I can also say I've learned that acai bowls for breakfast was not invented for people like me, but their baked goods are. I absolutely love coming here for breakfast or lunch. Beware this place is in the Amazon zone right ok the edge of construction so trying to maneuver this area can be a bit tricky. If u miss a turn u may end up many blocks away before turning around in the right direction. Parking is super limited but I've literally always gotten a decent spot. Once you make it inside, smell the food, and see all their options, your realize why its worth it and still better than most smaller cafes you've been to. I always order something sweet and savory when I come. The bread is just amazing. No yeast, yes this is right up my alley. It's so hard to find a yeastless bread that isn't all the way flat. I'm tempted to go almost every day, but I don't out of fear of somehow overdoing it. Did I mention this is a Brazilian inspired cafe. Oh yea makes sense that this bread is so special. They even have the good brands if drinks. My date almost cried when she noticed they had her childhood favorite chocolate milk. That alone was worth it. What about their pricing? Yes it's a Brazilian cafe, but their prices are spot on. Pray they keep it this way so I can keep coming. I've had to stop eating at a lot of my goto spots in the area and have started cooking much more. Well, this place is one of those spots that I can even eat at more than once in a day. I almost always order the Kitanda bread and a coffee. Sometimes the bread and coffee are great, sometimes the bread is too hard. Other times like today the coffee cup isn't properly secured and it leaks. I went back to get another cup, and this one not only leaked, it spilled onto the front of my shirt. read more

This was a nice find min away from our Airbnb while in Seattle. It's not common to find a Brazilian spot with these savory "snacks" we find back home so we were super excited. The place is very nice and modern and quite a selection to choose from. We only tried the coxinha (chicken cones) and pão de queijos. The coxinha was ok but the pão de queijo was really good. I really like the idea of making sandwiches with them but I preferred the original with no filling. The only thing is that service was really slow...it took us probably 15 min to get our latte and cappuccino, and even the food, it's reheated but still took us longer than I would have imagined. We were in no rush and didn't mind waiting but it was an oddly long wait. Nevertheless might be back before we head back home! read more

Such a great little small cafe that specializes in Brazilian bread, coffee, and açaí bowls. The Romeo and Juliet sandwich is my favorite so far, with a balance between sweet from the guava and savory from the cheese. The açaí bowl is very large, and lasted me two separate meals! I've also gotten their Brazilian coffee, which is coffee and condensed milk and it was delicious. Service is prompt, and there is wifi for those that need. Excited to branch out and try their other options available but I've ordered the Romeo and Juliet twice now (which is cheese + guava paste on their bread). Homey and warm ambiance on this cold chilly day in Seattle. Priscila was the only one behind the counter doing it all! She gave great tips and suggestions on what to order cause the menu has such good options! Had an insightful conversations of carbs and ordered delicious drinks cause of it. She took great care of us and the snacks we ordered have us scheduling time to get it again tomorrow. So there's kitanda bread...made with tapioca flour and we ordered a cheese roll of it so it's filled with mozzarella and it's topped with toasted coconut it's Brazilian, it was so warm and good. We also got the 5 mini chicken cones, almost like chicken croquettes and also warm and fluffy! If they have a béchamel sauce or some sort of sauce to serve with it...it would taste even better than it already does.
