That said, there were a few things that kept the experience from feeling as good as it should have. For the first 30 to 45 minutes, we kept seeing the same meats while several of the premium cuts never made it to our table unless we specifically asked for them. They eventually came, but at this price point, guests shouldn't have to keep requesting the signature cuts. We also ordered a pitcher of sangria without being given a drink menu or told it was $48. Finding that out when the check arrived was definitely a surprise. We also didn't learn until the end of the meal that our 25% off promotion wasn't valid on weekends. As the night went on, the service dropped off quite a bit. After about an hour, it started to feel like our table was being overlooked and that it was time for us to wrap things up. We also weren't fans of the three-payment limit for larger groups, which made settling the bill more complicated than it needed to be. We'd still be willing to come back because the food was genuinely good, but next time we'll probably keep it simple, skip the sangria, and avoid bringing a larger party. There's a lot of potential here, but the overall experience needs to match the quality and price of the food.

Food is great but this is not the place for someone with a small appetite…read more I found the salad bar amazing! I probably could have eaten just from the salad bar and be satisfied. They don't just have salads at the salad bar. All the sides such as rice, potatoes, fish, soup, with all the fixings are there. People come around to the tables with the meat on large skewers and cut at your table. Beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. It can be pretty overwhelming if you are not a big meat eater. There was a good selection of desserts. Most of us shared. I had the crème brûlée and shared it with the husband. After 3 spoonfuls, I was done, but it was so good. The wait staff and the folks serving the meats were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was kind of noisy, but it was really crowded. Of course, it was Mother's Day. So even with a reservation we still had to wait. There were 14 of us. Of course we had to wait to get enough tables together for us to be seated. My only complaint was the waiting area. I get it. It's Mothers Day. People were waiting outside on the sidewalk because there wasn't enough room in the waiting area. They should invest in those beepers for when our table is ready. Otherwise, it was a nice experience.

FOGO DE CHÃO is brilliant and absolutely phenomenal if you're looking for a Brazilian steakhouse!!!…read moreThat's about all that needs to be said... period. But that's not my style so here I go... First off, the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant as you immediately step inside is spectacular. It's elegant but with a casual feel. Or maybe it was its casual with an elegant vibe... either way, you cannot go wrong. Depending on the time of day, if the wait is long, I'd suggest grabbing a drink from the full bar. Once seated, we ordered our drinks and headed over to the salad bar/cold cuts and grabbed some select items. I'm always careful to not overload on the trimmings as I'm here for the various cuts of meats. Pretty simple process. You flip your marker (green) over for cuts of meat being offered and over again (red) if you want to enjoy your meal. Then on and off again. The skewers of meat are divine, ranging from bacon wrapped chicken, to sausages, to a variety cuts and cooked beef, pork, or lamb. I opted for a 6oz. Lobster tail dripping in succulent butter, as well! Such an amazing experience! Thank you to the staff of Fogo and all of the chefs... hats off to you! As always, enjoy and Happy Sampling!

Fogo de Chão has officially entered its flop era…read more We usually come for the full churrasco experience, but on our last visit, we were practically begging for scraps. You'd think the gauchos were personally rationing the beef for winter...we were lucky if we managed to flag down three measly slices of meat all evening. Since the skewers were treating us like ghosts, we decided to order the dry aged steak that's supposedly sized for four people. Total fiction. What arrived was barely enough to satisfy two mildly hungry toddlers. Getting anything to the table took an eternity...drinks, side dishes, basic eye contact, yet the second we finished eating, the bill appeared at Olympic sprint speed. Truly unmatched efficiency when it's time to swipe the card. To top off the premium priced misery, the women's restroom was an absolute disaster zone. At this point, paying top dollar for neglect, false meat promises, and dirty restrooms is a hard pass. There are far better places to drop this kind of cash. We won't be back.

Luckily we got there around 5 and were able to get 4 bar seats. Our server Colin was awesome! We ordered the oysters, chefs burger (OMG), empanadas (delicious) and the star of the show was the prawn and turf (that sauce and sourdough combo was amazing) Literally counting the days till I'm back, golfing at chambers bay and stopping by asado on the way back.

We got the Lomo ($68) and the Parilla Mixta ($50) with the mashed potatoes and the polenta. The last time we came here, they brought out a delicious complimentary bread but it seems like they don't do that anymore. My boyfriend liked his lomo (filet mignon) and it had a nice sear and the chimichurri and demi glace was delicious. My parilla mixta was yummy but the skirt steak was on the blander side and the sausage was nothing special but I really like the shrimp and the polenta was delicious. Overall everything was fresh and the food came out quick and our waitress was really nice. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when we were there but it looked like it was filling up and it is a cute spot for a date night or dinner with friends! It's definitely on the pricier side but we would come back to try their pastas or other dishes!

It is like a food court where you grab a plate and serve yourself and then pay by the amount of food you grab. The pricing is very confusing. They have two prices, one for meats and the buffet station and one for just the buffet station. The buffet station was very limited and look very sad. The meats were okay but overall overdone and chewy. They didn't have any traditional sauces you would usually find at a Brazilian restaurant; they only had some salad dressing bottles. There is virtually no service. They don't really speak English. They don't have a menu and everything is self serve. It is pretty cheap if you just go for meats and don't get a drink.

The food tastes just like good homemade cooking, and I love the fact that they offer both à la carte and buffet options. They also have great Brazilian drinks, snacks, and desserts. During the week, you have the option to pay for food by weight or enjoy an all-you-can-eat option for a set price. Plus, they always serve free Brazilian coffee. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience authentic homemade-style Brazilian food.
