I'm in love. THE Juiciest, fattiest, MOST flavorful steak I have ever had from a restaurant. My GOSH. We opt to split the churrasco platter ($23.90), which came with three types of meat - picanha, colloute, and pork sausage (this reminded me of lil smokies). Delicious rice, beans, and potato salad too. And then we ordered the Picanha Special ($24.50) because we couldn't resist, which came with juicy, fatty steak bites, crispy fries, and (bonus!) yummy fried bananas. This review is coming from a party of two, accustomed to dining at this establishments Shoreline, WA location. Since the Shoreline location has moved to Totem Lake, we decided to give this location on Nickerson Street a try. This location has street parking only, and seems to thrive more on "to go" orders, as it only has 4 or 5 actual tables to sit and eat there. Fairly cramped space with kitchen. Be sure to make a reservation if you want guaranteed table availability. The staff were inviting, friendly and service was as it should be. We ordered 2 of their Brazilian Churrasco Especial (what we always ordered from the Shoreline location - medium rare). Plus a side of Garlic Sautéed Mushrooms. Everything was served hot, and no complaints with quantity served. However the steaks were slightly overcooked, and EVERYTHING (except the drinking water) was overly salty. The sautéed mushrooms had way too much chopped garlic as well. We never received the potato salad the menu indicates should come with the meal. When it comes to paying the bill, everything is done electronically. We did not receive anything in advance showing our charges. Unknowingly to us, but perhaps we overlooked it on the menu somewhere, this restaurant automatically added a 10% Service Charge to our bill. In looking at email receipt at home, the Service Charge plus added tip we are accustomed to paying, ended up being far more than we intended. Perhaps restaurant added Service Charges are becoming the way of the future. That's totally okay, as long as it is made extremely clear upon entering or before ordering in the establishment. We dearly miss the Shoreline location. We will try their Totem Lake location called Obutekim. Hopefully service and cook staff directly transferred to Totem Lake too. read more

Crazy good place! Why 4 stars instead of 5? Oh wow. First off, the steaks are really good. Really good. They're not great - you might not drive from Renton to eat here, but they're really really good. Maybe you should drive from Renton to eat here. But there's some stuff that doesn't add up. One is that this is a very small - 4 or 5 tables, I forget - place, and they don't take reservations, so when we showed up at 6:15 the place was empty and when we left at 7:00 someone was eyeing our table. There's also a lot of plastic here. $17 Caipirinha? I expected it before the food service, not after the entrees arrived, and it was in a plastic cup with a straw. Charming? IDK. Potato salad in a plastic cup. Really? Let's talk about the plating. A five-star steak house will plate the food so that you're not risking knocking stuff off the plate when you cut into the steak. The dishes are too small. Here's a real secret, tho: the value is incredible. Beef With Caramelized Onions, $24.50. IDK if this was an 8-oz or 10-oz steak, but we had to box the leftovers, and it was served with fair fries and really flavorful jasmine rice and rich black beans with sausage and the small plastic container of potato salad, but that's A LOT of food for $24.50. My first time at a Brazilian (non-steakhouse) restaurant. And I really loved it! Cool little spot, very clean and bright and of course, smelled delicious! First of all, huge shout out to our waiter Luccas. We had some special requests/needs and he just made sure we were comfortable! He just made it work seamlessly! I ordered the filet mignon stroganoff and it looked amazing, and it was also extremely good! It is served on rice, which is fine, but just be aware if you've never had this version before, because it does not come on noodles. Parking is limited here, I think just street parking. Prices were a bit higher than I usually go for, but so was the quality, and serving size was large. I'll definitely be coming back! Thanks Luccas for a great experience! read more

I had been craving Brazilian Food for a while but did not want to drop $$$ on one of the fancy steakhouses throughout Seattle, so me and my family decided to give Botteco a try since it's near us, and it will definitely be on our "favorite places to go" list! Everything was perfectly seasoned and very well served for the price. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and even turned a cartoon on for our son since, surprisingly, we were the only ones there. The restaurant is small with only a few tables, but service was pretty fast and they do take out as well. I've been a big fan of Botteco Brazil in Shoreline for a few months so I was super excited tht they opened a location in Seattle, closer to me! The highlight of the menu is delicious grilled meats but I also think their french fries are the best. Unlike many churrascarias or Brazilian steakhouses, this is not an all-you-can-eat situation. I actually prefer ordering a plate: you can share if you're not too hungry, or bring home leftovers. This is a new location, and when we went in before a Mariners Game, we were the only customers. Heard great things about this place but never pulled the trigger because I thought plain rice and fries with steak that might come over cooked (because delivery, not their fault but still those were my assumptions) no sauce etc would be "dry". I was extremely WRONG. And wish I had tried this place sooner. I now plan to go in person sometime soon. First of all, the quality (and quantity) of their meats for the price is AMAZING. I was shocked. We ordered all of our steaks medium rare and thats exactly what they gave us. That's hard to do over delivery!! I wish I had taken photos bcause everything we ordered was so so good and mostly still hot too! We ordered the Brazilian Churrasco Especial (picanha entree) which alone came with so much meat and other sides for just under $30. Also got the Picanha Especial Appetizer. I thought this was going to smaller than the churrasco entree. Wrong again. It was huge. Bigger if anything. Came with entire takeout container of meat. An entire container of fries and a few fried plantains. The plantains had a coating on them that I wasnt crazy about but they were still bomb. I personally didnt like them together with any of the other food. Wish I did but again, they were super good on their own. Next time I'll try their yucca. We also got the Sautéed Garlic Mushrooms and Cheese Bread (Pão de queijo). I know Ive already said how good everything was but my god the mushrooms were chefs kiss and went so well with the meat etc. I kept dipping slices of steak in the juice. They're buttery herby savory goodness. Very rich. The Pão was good but just that, Pão. I do recommend to anyone who hasnt tried them though they're cheesy deliciousness AND Gluten Free. Great portions and the quality is there for sure. One of the best IMO now that I know lol. Only "complaint" is I wish they had half size of their sides (in my case the mushrooms and the pão). BUT no wine, and only two choices of the varieties of teas noted. It's not one of those steakhouse/ sword skewer places, although I appreciate them for what they are. This is the good Brasilian comfort food i've been missing since Tiempo Do Brasil sadly closed. RIP. I came w friends for my day before birthday dinner and we all had something different. Fried Yucca fries were our appetizer. I had the Feijoada b/c i'm a creature of habit. For the unfamiliar, it is a TASTY black bean, one pot stew/ meal full of pork & beef that comes with rice & greens on the side. This variation also came w a crispy fried portion of what i'm guessing was pork belly and was super good. My Brasilian friend had some form of beef (they have a few options & the drinks are strong so i'm blanking), while her hubby had the Moqueca seafood stew. Everyone was happy. We enjoyed a few Caipirinha drinks, I think some were passion fruit and some regular. They were the best i've had: strong, nicely tart and sweet, nectary, as well as more generously sized than I've seen at a lot of places. Truly good. I also LOVE the Guarana soda you can only find in these restaurants. Dessert was Cupuacu flan for me while my companions both had the Passion Fruit Cream, they were each super good. They have things on their menu (like hot tea) that seem to be at their other locations, but not here which was confusing and sorely missed. It was freezing and I really wanted a warm up. Another reviewer wrote this location lacks the chain's garlic rice. I will say the staff was very attentive and really good to us. But it is a small space, and there were only 2 ppl cooking, making drinks & serving. I'm not sure how this works w a full restaurant. I suggest patrons get used to "Brasilian Time" and exercise patience. Seattle froze the next day and actual birthday dinner plans were postponed for a week. But I had excellent leftovers to tide me over and was happy to stay in and be snug w trashy movies and watch the cats play. This restaurant is a welcome rotation to my faves, and i'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu...and having a few more of those incredible drinks. read more

The server/employee says "Sorry we close the kitchen at 7:30 to start cleaning" and refuse to seat us. I can't say enough good things about this place. They were so nice and the food was incredible. We were in town from Denver and stopped here for lunch. We had the Frango a Passarinho and Brazilian Churrasco Especial. It was so good I wanted to go back the next day but couldn't make it happen. The Black Beans with smoked Pork Sausage, and Brazilian style potato salad are delicious. I smashed a Caipirinha as well. Can't wait until they sell their hot sauce. We get takeout from here a lot so I don't know what the in-person experience is like. But the workers have always been really nice when we call or go there for pick up. Super friendly and helpful. The food travels well too. The friend yuca is the best in Seattle and it's worth it for that alone. WAY better than at the super expensive Brazilian steakhouses. Their rice is also SO good! Again, much better than the fancy places. The beans too. A plate of their rice & beans with yuca fries is the perfect meal for me. But family likes the meats so we get those too. It's often been really tasty, good quality meat. Occasionally we'll get one that is tougher. I also like that they have farofa but they don't provide nearly enough of it! And the potato salad is also very good. Once for a party we ordered a big quantity of the frango a passarinho (Brazilian fried chicken) that was a big hit! Really tasty stuff.
