We celebrated my birthday at Texas de Brazil, and overall there was a lot we enjoyed. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and the food itself was excellent. That said, there were a few things that kept the experience from feeling as good as it should have. For the first 30 to 45 minutes, we kept seeing the same meats while several of the premium cuts never made it to our table unless we specifically asked for them. They eventually came, but at this price point, guests shouldn't have to keep requesting the signature cuts. We also ordered a pitcher of sangria without being given a drink menu or told it was $48. Finding that out when the check arrived was definitely a surprise. We also didn't learn until the end of the meal that our 25% off promotion wasn't valid on weekends. As the night went on, the service dropped off quite a bit. After about an hour, it started to feel like our table was being overlooked and that it was time for us to wrap things up. We also weren't fans of the three-payment limit for larger groups, which made settling the bill more complicated than it needed to be. We'd still be willing to come back because the food was genuinely good, but next time we'll probably keep it simple, skip the sangria, and avoid bringing a larger party. There's a lot of potential here, but the overall experience needs to match the quality and price of the food. read more

Food is great but this is not the place for someone with a small appetite. I found the salad bar amazing! I probably could have eaten just from the salad bar and be satisfied. They don't just have salads at the salad bar. All the sides such as rice, potatoes, fish, soup, with all the fixings are there. People come around to the tables with the meat on large skewers and cut at your table. Beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. It can be pretty overwhelming if you are not a big meat eater. There was a good selection of desserts. Most of us shared. I had the crème brûlée and shared it with the husband. After 3 spoonfuls, I was done, but it was so good. The wait staff and the folks serving the meats were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was kind of noisy, but it was really crowded. Of course, it was Mother's Day. So even with a reservation we still had to wait. There were 14 of us. Of course we had to wait to get enough tables together for us to be seated. My only complaint was the waiting area. I get it. It's Mothers Day. People were waiting outside on the sidewalk because there wasn't enough room in the waiting area. They should invest in those beepers for when our table is ready. I was hoping for an amazing dining experience and ultimately I was disappointed with the quality of the meal. The service was excellent and everything was beautiful decorated inside. The problem was there there were some meats that were extremely dry. For the price that they charge, this is unacceptable. The service and the food were fantastic! Matthew was our server, and he was wonderful--so friendly, helpful, and energetic. As a vegan, this probably seems like a strange place to go. But my husband is omni, and it was our anniversary, so we wanted a place we could have a meal we both liked. Their salad bar did not disappoint. I ate my face off. Everything I tried was so good. The Brazilian vinaigrette, chimichurri, and cous cous salad were my favorites, but I really enjoyed it all. My husband for the regular churrasco and enjoyed it, as well. His favorites were the ribs and picanha. The ambience was kind of business casual. The server was great in explaining how the meats arrive to your table and the salad bar details. We had a 4:00 PM reservation, which I highly recommend. The salad bar was filled and fresh. Charcuterie meats and cheeses, mixed salads, build your own salads, and several sides like rice, beans, and pasta salad. The meat variety was better than I had expected - you can try some of every kind of meat which we really liked. BBQ chicken, bacon wrapped chicken, steak, lamb, pork chops. They can even prepare your meat how you like it cooked if needed. And if you're not too full, they even offer several dessert options. Went with 3 others so a good group of people. Made rez on OpenTable and waited about 10 min until we were seated, which was OK. We sat in a place that was close to the salad bar, etc area and it was great. Our server was wonderful, asking us what we wanted and if there are any special requests which we mentioned well done and medium rare items. The items in the salad bar were cucumbers (wow they were flavored so well), bacon (didnt even see it because in a basket that was above my eye level- Im short lol), and tebeulah. Deliciousness! The lobster bisque was OK as it didn't really have any lobster pieces but tasted like corn chowder and was more liquidy than rich and velvety for a bisque. We had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation for 8:15 PM but weren't seated until well after 8:30. During the meal, servers kept placing bottles of water on our table without explaining that they were charging us for them. By the end of the night, we were charged for three unopened bottles that we only took with us because we had already been billed for them. This was supposed to be a joint birthday celebration for me and my girlfriend, but it was completely soured by their outrageous policies. We brought our own cake and were told multiple times by our server that if we cut into it, we would be charged $3 per person. For our party of 15, that would've cost more than the cake itself! I had even called days prior to let them know we were bringing a cake, and this was never mentioned. When I pointed out that this "policy" isn't listed on their website, the server just ignored me. To avoid being gouged, we told the server to take the cake back untouched, which completely ruined the celebration. Later, the manager told us the fee only applies if they cut and plate the cake, contradicting what the server had said all evening. Even then, the policy is absurd. On top of that, they refused to split the bill for our party of 15. We were only told this after the meal, leaving us scrambling to figure out how to split an $800 tab. Eventually, they allowed us to use two cards, but the stress of coordinating payments between a large group of people--many of whom didn't even know each other--was beyond frustrating. What started as a celebration ended up being a nightmare. My boss, who was at the table and had been considering this place for our company holiday party of 50 people, quickly decided against it after witnessing how poorly everything was handled. This place is nothing more than a money grab, charging for every little thing, and the overall experience felt disrespectful and chaotic. We let them know and it got cleaned up after 3 more people almost slipped in the puddle walking by the table. It is really noisy in the dining area and was really difficult to hear anything in there from the servers to anyone at the table. The area where the cold sides are kept is kept very clean and full with how many people are up there. We waited for about 15 minutes after flipping our "coins" over before any of the meat was even near us or came to our table. The service here is the best out of all the Brazilian steakhouses even remotely nearby. We've been to the Fogo de Chao in both Seattle and Bellevue, as well as the Novilhos in Bellevue, and although this steakhouse is further south, it is well worth the drive. We made a reservation for Thanksgiving and were seated right on time. I was a little worried at first because we were sat at a two person table in the corner of the restaurant, so I thought the service would be slow, but that was not the case at all. The server was very kind and attentive, and greeted us quickly. The food was amazing, the meat was cooked well, and this is the only Brazilian steakhouse that asked both me AND my husband how we liked our steak cooked. One of the gauchos even realized that we were saying yes every time he came around, so he made sure to keep coming by and said we were his favorite table of the night. The gauchos were so present and abundant that we even had to flip our cards over to get a break because we were running out of room on our plate. The thanksgiving specials were also incredible, the turkey was delicious and the gravy was absolutely to die for. We don't have any family nearby, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation for Thanksgiving if you don't want to do all the cooking. The lobby was super full though, so I don't recommend coming without a reservation unless you want to wait forever. My only complaints are that the pricing felt a little scammy, like they're trying to get your bill as high as they can and hope you don't notice. The server just asked what kind of water we wanted without saying that they came with an upcharge; I personally don't like being upsold without being told about the extra cost, but to each their own. My husband also ordered an old fashioned and they not only charged us for an upgrade for it being a double (which is expected), but they also charged for it being an old fashioned. Maybe their system is different, but I've never worked for a restaurant that charged that way, it should be charged as a double and THEN uncharged for a certain cocktail if they do that, but I've never seen it charged as three separate charges. It's fine if that is how their system works, but just know if you're ordering a double cocktail with a higher shelf liquor that it is WAY more expensive then it is advertised as. We didn't even get actual top shelf and it was still an absurdly priced cocktail. Look who would not enjoy an AYCE place of meat! We have been to other places like this and decided to give them a try. Well, outside the great service this was a big mistake. Yes it's all the meat and sides you can eat. But when the meat (every one we had) is so tough to cut much less chew once you get a bite. It's not really worth it. The seasoning was not good and one cut of meat (chicken) was dry and flavorless. The salad bar with the cheese was good but the hot sides were under seasoned and not good. Once seated you are given a small coaster one side red and the other side green to place beside your table setting to let the Gauchos know if you would like them to stop at your table or not. You get your plate of charcuterie/salad bar items and the Gauchos come around with various meat selections. You can ask for a slice or two and carry on. Get yourself a bowl of chimichurri sauce at the salad bar to drizzle over your meats and you'll be set. We haven't been to Texas de Brazil in a few years but we decided to come here for my birthday's on March (I know this review is super late). I got us a reservation in advance to ensure that we got a table on a Saturday. The hostess was polite and directed us to our table, which is our usual table as it is near their wine selection. It's also one of the only places that seats two people as the rest of restaurant can accommodate bigger sizes. Unfortunately, our server David S. seemed professional at first but any time he came by our table to inquire about how we were doing or asking if we wanted to get anything, he always had his head turned to my boyfriend. Every single time he did this and never even looked at my direction, even until he dropped off the bill, which I was paying for the bill. It was really rude and discriminating. I have no idea what prompted him to do this but it was just ridiculous. Imagine being sexist in 2024. The food quality has definitely plummeted since we have left visited. As many before have mentioned, the food is super salty or extremely bland. Additionally, the gauchos definitely seemed to be selective for some, as we never got certain cuts of meats and some went out of their way to avoid us as where we were seated was a common walking area for the employees, including the gauchos. Sad to say this was such a sad experience even with a birthday coupon and they even stopped offering free dessert with your birthday dinner. No order at front desk, people piled up everywhere. Got the worst table right next to the host stand. This was my third time coming here (I cannot believe I haven't done a review for this place since the first time!) and I have to say coming here for a special occasion has been great every time! This time, we brought two friends who had never been here before and they enjoyed the food and ambience just as much as us. I had placed a reservation through OpenTable and when we arrived (despite the line to check in being a bit long) we were able to get seated pretty much immediately. Our waitress came around promptly and was amazing the entire night (Natalia, you were SO GREAT to us, when we come back we're requesting for you again!). She came by often to check on us to ask how everything was, refilled drinks quickly and was very personable. The selection of foods in the hot and cold sections where you go to make your plate was great (the potatoes au gratin are a must!). They bring mashed potatoes, plantains, and Brazilian cheese bread to the table to share. The men who walk around carrying the meats were all kind and stopped by often to offer us different proteins to choose from. The meat were all flavorful, tender, and juicy! We got dessert after which was so good (we got the chocolate mouse, Brazilian cheesecake and banana foster which we all enjoyed). Parking was horrible as always at this mall but we lucked out and found something quickly by chance. Once we arrived, we were seated within 3 minutes of arriving. Our server, an older Hispanic man who looked like he was training someone was our server. He was fantastic and attentive he entire meal. We also had a few of the guys who brought out the meats be super attentive too and they also asked if we needed any specific meats or how we would like the meat cooked. While we were there it went from sort of busy to really busy and then sort of busy again. It was unfortunate that when I went to get food at the hot food bar the potatoes in the white sauce were completely out and were not replaced for a little while. However, other than that I had a really great experience, the food was good, the vibe was good, and we enjoyed it. Yes it was more expensive than I typically like but it was so worth it. I've only been to Fogo de Chao when it comes to steakhouses like this, and I was pleasantly surprised that Texas de Brazil is solid in comparison. Service was great the entire time and our plates were literally never empty. Love that!! Everything about this place was well-kept and clean as well. I didn't even visit the salad bar because I was so focused on all the meat coming around LOL so that'll be something I'll have to do next time! I did, however, enjoy some of the starters like the lobster bisque (SO good) and the mashed potatoes (also amazing). The bisque was pretty in line with others I've tried at actual seafood joints so that's a highlight for sure. Hard to say what my favorite meat for the night was, but the lamb was pretty phenomenal. Also loved the sirloin and the sausages! Everything was cooked well and there was only one or two times that I came across something a little too fatty for my liking.
