This restaurant has officially earned an O from me... ORGASMIC! From the moment you walk in, it's a…read morefull sensory experience that hits every note: sight, smell, sound, touch, taste, and most importantly, the vibe. If you're looking for a total body experience, this is it. The presentation alone is a work of art on a plate--almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. The aroma greets you at the door, teasing you with exactly what you came for and setting the tone before the 1st bite ever lands on your tongue. There's a perfect balance between a lively, energetic kitchen and a culinary dance that knows exactly how to set the mood between you and your wait staff. I love watching a kitchen that truly moves together. The way the kitchen and waitstaff flow in harmony tells you everything you need to know before the food even arrives. And then there's the food itself--textures that crunch just right, silkiness where it belongs, and a mouthfeel that's been thoughtfully mastered. Every bite delivers. The flavors explode, layering the fundamentals with deep, savory umami that lingers long after the plate is cleared. That lingering sixth sense... the feeling that stays with you is matched only by the vibe. It's that rare sense of being exactly where you're supposed to be. And where you're supposed to be is here, experiencing this food for yourself. Get on over here and tell us what you think. It will absolutely be worth the time you take out of your life to experience this culinary delight.

I started with the buffalo chicken mozzarella sticks, but they weren't for me so I sent them back. I ended up getting the blackened chicken flatbread, which was actually really good and full of flavor. A few others in my group had mixed experiences too--my cousin ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and didn't like them, and my daughter tried the crab cake appetizer. She said the flavor was great, but the texture was too mushy inside. My sister, on the other hand, enjoyed her shrimp appetizer and said the mac and cheese egg rolls were just okay. One thing we all agreed on--the drinks were AMAZING. Definitely strong and well-made, they did not disappoint at all. The overall vibe of the restaurant is nice, especially being in the Oyster Point area. It's a great spot to hang out on a Saturday night. Not sure if I'd rush back, but it was a decent experience.

I judge bbq places by their brisket and theirs is always perfectly done, as is the jerk chicken. you can do much worse at other bbq places but you won't do better in western Newport News.

I found this place in yelp and wanted to give it a try. It's in a small strip mall and at first we were afraid they weren't there anymore because there isn't a marquee sign above the restaurant but there is a large smoker truck that looks like it's used for catering that helped us find it. The parking lot was full which blocked the signage on the doors/windows. The inside has a few small tables and a counter to the right to order from with the kitchen behind. There was a few chairs across from the counter to wait for to go orders. You choose your own table after ordering. The owner was personable and chatting an older gentleman that had been there awhile. We later realized he was the owner when he came out to see how our food was. The ribs fell off the bone and the baked beans had ground beef and some peppers. They were delicious and had such good flavor. Rolls were served with the meals. The portions were large and we took home our leftovers. I was a little surprised that our food was served in to go containers even though we asked to dine in. You pick up your own plasticware at the counter where you pick up your order. While it's not a typical sit down place with table service or bar drinks, the food was really good and hot. We'll definitely go again. Also love that it's veteran owned and he's present and cares about the service provided. It was also evident he cares about his staff as we overheard them discussing one of the kids preparing for high school graduation.
