But I still had this place on my mind to try... Well the Saturday before Christmas, myself and 5 others decided to go out for brunch and this was suggested. I did not know what to expect as I had only heard a few people mention this place, but I was eager to try it. I must say, we arrived right on time. This place seemed small inside at first glance, but from what I know now, they have more seating in the back of the restaurant, but we were able to dine in front near the bar without worry. Our waitress Ms. Vickie was an absolute pleasure! We ordered our drinks and meals... I cannot speak for everyone but for me and mine... My husband had the chicken plate with sides - tore it up! Now me y'all - I decided to order the platter because everything on the platter I liked. I must say in my 40+ years of life, I have never ordered a platter anywhere!!! It is always an item or two I want to sub, but this one here, give it all to me! Now I did ask Ms Vickie if I could get the shrimp steamed... OK fried it is :) For the wings and shrimp you can choose a dipping sauce or have the item sauced (I believe). I opted to have mine on the side. Yall...bomb!! Just bomb!! Everything on the platter was so so so so good! Before the plate reached the table, I told my husband he was gonna have to help me eat it. I didn't need any help if I wanted to be greedy or if I knew it would be that good... but he did eat a few things. He agreed, it was very good! My drinks were superb! Some of the fellas ordered mules - they were pleased! Overall just a great first time! I saw at least one other larger party (10 or 12) near us and Ms Vickie advised a head of time, there would be a wait before placing the order to the kitchen to avoid back up - super understandable, but mentioning that makes all the difference in the world. Now the ball is in our court to wait or leave, that's how I see it. Oh we waited. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our company! The food was just OK, the calamari was good, but they included the tentacles and they were actually pretty gross. The chicken wings were all right, my salad was average. The other customers that were in the bar area seem to be regulars, maybe four or five people. Overall, just a very strange experience. A really large establishment with very few employees and very few customers. Definitely don't think we will return.

We were seated right away luckily due to another big party not showing up for their reservation. So with Mother's day, you would have thought they planned better. Going on Mother's day, I was mentally prepared for delays but not like this. Also, the food took over an hour. Smaller parties that were sat after us received their food faster than ours and our food didn't come out hot. The food itself was OK, not very seasoned and bland. I took half my meal to go so I could hook it up myself for breakfast tomorrow. Bright side: our waitress Crystal was very sweet and had great recommendations for our meals. I enjoyed her service. They had a limited menu but allowed us to add veggies to the eggs which was nice. I'd be willing to go back on a less busier day to see how the food and speed of cooking really are.

To make matters worse, there was no acknowledgment or farewell from the host as we exited.
