We recently worked with Robbie to replace a GE Monogram series microwave. After sharing the measurements and photos Robbie recommended a model and said that we need to additionally order a drawer as the new model was shorter. When the electricians came to install it they found that the new model was too deep for the space but were able to remove some wood and Sheetrock to make it work. They never took the drawer out of the box because the electrician said " I can do math and this drawer is too big to fit." Robbie refused to take the drawer back even though it was his mistake. He later said that GE refused to take it back in a sealed never opened box. Why should the customer have to pay for Robbie's mistake? I told my contractor not to ever use Kitchen and Bath Galleries again! read more

This is a review of our designer Michelle Verrill, a senior designer at K&B. She was such a pleasure to work with. She listened to our ideas and suggestions. Her communication was excellent. She always let us know what was going on and responded back quickly. Very knowledgeable and we appreciated her input. Our project was a kitchen remodel/renovation. We showroom is a wonderful place to get ideas and see products. We would recommend at least stopping in and talking if you are thinking of doing a renovation. We had some pluses and minuses with our project, but we enjoyed working with Michelle. read more

This could be a case study in how to turn a 5-star review into a 1-star. I needed to replace a dishwasher. They knew their product well, and were very responsive to my questions and it was an easy transaction. They arranged for their installer to come, and he did, great job. Two days later, I discovered that the installer had attached the water supply line incorrectly, and it had buckled my hardwood floors and done thousands of dollars in damage to my home. When I called them, they had the installer here within an hour; he accepted responsibility and replaced the line immediately, filed a claim with his insurance and called me back with the claim number. Even then, I was OK, and appreciated that he didn't try to dodge responsibility. Look, if you do this every day, then sooner or later it's going to happen. But when I called the salesman, that call went south pretty quickly. Because the installer was an independent contractor, I was having to deal with his insurance company, and his insurance was telling me some things that concerned me. I wanted Kitchen And Bath Galleries to help me work with the insurance, or maybe help me with the out of pocket expenses. They absolutely refused to do anything for me. Now I'm having to pay for the water damage myself, out of pocket, and then filing a claim, hoping the installer's insurance will reimburse me for it. My family will have to deal with all the blowers and fans, and no kitchen for three days. And when we repair the floors we will have to be out of the house for another three days. Their insurance will not pay for the hotel those three days and they emphatically refuse to pay for mold damage. And Kitchen and Bath Galleries doesn't even want to know about it! So if you want to buy an appliance from people who know their stuff and make the sale easy, this is the place. Just know that if anything goes bad, you will be completely on your own. read more

We worked with Michelle Verrill on a 2,200sf addition to our lake house which included a new cabinets, granite, tile, appliances and flooring. Michelle is an excellent designer, super organized and made what can be an onerous selection process seem almost easy. Always seemed to know our preferences, offerred great suggestions and visuals. She was also sensitive to our schedule and overall budget. She visited the site at Lake Gaston several times to take measurements, supervise installation and inspect the final product. Our general contractor loved her. The end product looks awesome and is getting rave reviews from family and friends. We would work with her again on any project in a hearbeat. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would!! They seemed to have expertise that would warrant the price point at which their products sell at. What a joke!!! They sold us a Miele stove and oven priced at $12,000 and they had NEVER EVER installed one!!! It took three tries (which meant three different installation appointments and visits to our home) to get the installation done and there's still a bracket kit left over (??? Never a good sign). They had to bring in an outside their company repair expert to fix the burners. Seriously, they sell appliances that they can NOT install or repair!!! Their high-end image is a rouse. read more

I had a choice when ordering new double ovens and a new cooktop -- I had quotes from both Kitchen and Bath as well as Ferguson -- I tossed a coin and picked Kitchen and Bath. I absolutely regret this decision. My sales person at K & B was Lee Rothstein, and he did a fairly decent job at first appearance in making the sale. He was completely downhill from there. He was very unprofessional when I would call and inquire about the status of my order (I was trying to time the installations of the new appliances around a much larger home renovation project) -- he would say things like "I'm absolutely slammed right now" and "I'm very, very busy" when I would call and say "Hi Lee, how are you?" He was short and gave me the impression that he didn't have time for me and was inconvenienced to have to bother with taking my phone call (after I spent almost $9,000, on which he makes commission!). Then, when one of the appliances was THREE weeks late, I got the run around and essentially got very little to no communication from him. Again, apparently it was inconvenient for him to have to keep me informed about what was going on with the status of my order. I sent him an email letting him know how frustrated and disappointed I was with his lack of communication and customer service. He replied with a minimal, obligatory response and that was it! Never tried to call or email and figure out how to make it right or how to make me happy, never offered to make it right, never apologized, and by the way, certainly didn't ever THANK me for my business! During my renovation project I also ordered some items from Ferguson's in Raleigh and moral of the story -- GO WITH FERGUSON'S AND STAY AWAY FROM KITCHEN AND BATH! Ferguson's was prompt, delivered exactly what they promised, went out of their way to help me get items shipped to my house to keep my install on track, even sent me HAND WRITTEN thank you cards in the mail for my purchases!! I wish I had spent that $9,000 with Ferguson's instead of K&B. Lesson learned. read more

I had bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher from another company 2 years ago.I was told by them that it only had a 1 year warranty . I stopped in and talked to a very knowledgeable appliance sales person. He told me the control board was still under warranty. He set me up with service, so I did not have to by a new dishwasher. He showed me a induction range , and did a live demo on a cooktop. I bought a range, and a refrigerator. The delivery guys were great! I recommend them to all my friends. Their prices were better then the big box stores that I looked at which surprised me. read more

Went in to the store today...granted I didn't have an appointment but it is a showroom after all and I wanted to look around. No one...I mean no one... at their desk even looked up! They looked like zombies! I approached one lady to ask if they carried BlueStar and she said "I don't know." Seriously? She had to ask someone. They don't in case you are wondering. She didn't even ask if she could show me anything else. Zero interest in making a new client! I will buy my subzero elsewhere! Horrible! read more

The owners of this place need to get new staff members. I worked with a staff person named Lee Rothstein and he was absolutely horrible. He made racist remarks regarding my ethnicity while suggesting what kind of appliances I should be getting for my house. They are also not knowledgeable or professional at all even when it comes to the level of appliances they carry in their store. I think you will get 100% better customer service when you purchase your appliances at big box retailers such as Lowe's and Home Depot. If you have to buy upper end appliances like Wolf, Viking or Thermador then you are better off finding another retailer or shopping online. I am all for supporting small businesses but customer service is extremely important to me as this is the backbone for any business. You will not get customer service at Ktichen and Bath Galleries. I regret making my purchase here as I had to do it because my builder works with this place. You should absolutely avoid this place. read more

I gave them a 2 Star because they had the items I needed and were in line with basically the others. The staff are definitely not professional at all and did not treat you as if your dollars mattered. It was almost as if they were doing me a favor. The installation department is the worst I have ever experienced with scratches to my floor and conflicting information from the installers and the manager. If I could give negative stars, I would. Tonight the final straw broke my resolve not to say anything bad about a business, but when my cabinet drawer fell out of its tracks and landed on my foot when it could have been the head of my 3 year old, I had to say something. We purchased kitchen cabinetry and closet cabinetry from Kitchen & Bath Galleries last year and moved into the place earlier this year. We have lived in new construction/renovations before so intially there were issues like the cabinet doors were not level with each other, the trash drawers would "automatically slide outward", and the shelves were not level and the hanger bars would fall out. So, we added these to the punch list and they came back to "fix it". This has happened three more times since the start of 2012. Tonight, after the drawer hit my foot, I got fed up and took a flashlight to look at the runner for the drawer - to my SHOCK, the back of the track was "attached" with two holes in the back where a half centimeter piece of plastic rested. No screws! Not even the slightest sign of the start of a hole. I pulled out all the drawers in the kitchen and discovered that screws were missing everywhere and things were just hanging by a tiny piece of plastic that was not secured with anything. I also took a level to check the trash drawer and would I believe that their slopes outward.....the drawer had no chance of ever staying closed. Also, looking at some of the cabinet doors that have come loose, would you believe that the wood where the hinges are attached are cracked and if we were to have this correctly fixed we would need to replace the cabinet structure? I could keep going on, but nothing has been installed correctly, and if it happened to have all its screwed, it was only the places that they "demonstrated as complete" when we moved in. Such shoddy workmanship, no quality and after three tries I won't even bother calling them to complain. I don't trust them in my home. One last thing, after I pulled out all my drawers, what I found at the bottom of the cabinets was disturbing. Tons of wood shavings (from drilling I assume), broken nails and screws and several cigarette butts. God only knows what else is hidden that I did not find tonight. read more
