We purchased a Bosch induction range and it was delivered today as promised. However, the installation was not scheduled by Best Buy and and will not be done for two weeks. So now we have a large boxed range in the kitchen obstructing our use of the kitchen. The Best Buy delivery phone support could not get Best Buy to move the range box to another room. Went in to get replacement screen protectors I already purchased for life of phone. The manager said we don't have them anymore and I need to pay for new one. When I said that's not right he said it's not his problem and walked away laughing. Rude and obnoxious and I'll never shop there again. They lost my business. I called the 800 number and they said they will make me an appt to get the correct protector free of charge and the manager should have offered that. We were satisfied with the in store service, however the installation we paid for has been a nightmare for over a month that ended with us asking for our money back and finding our own ways to install. They cancel and reschedule and have no empathy for the fact that you need this done and then send your call to people out of the country who do not care about any of it. Because of this, I will never purchase anything from them again. You need to fix your installation program and your customer service for this. I've never been more upset and disappointed than when dealing with the awful overseas customer service related to the install process with this company, a service I paid well for. Part 2- the laptop I returned to the Cary Crossroads location for warranty repair was not onsite when I got there. The off site customer service answering service told me it was onsite at Crossroads Best Buy. I had to wait in the queue to be seen - only one tech available and he was waiting on a customer. When my turn for service came up the tech could not find the laptop - it appeared that the repairs were completed Thursday. He investigated the process a little deeper and said it would be there on Monday. Apparently they use a stagecoach for shipping. This was BEYOND A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I know I'm only one little customer to a multi billion dollar corporation so I'm sure this will go unresolved and just like Mark Moore said his manager will agree with him providing terrible customer service and hanging up on me... WOW! I'm actually quite shocked I am receiving this level of customer service. I purchased this tv which was over $3,000 for an 85 inch tv!!! And when it came time for delivery- the delivery person said they can not take a tv upstairs- like huh, so I asked them to call Best Buy and they did and they lady explained that they could so they ended up bringing the tv upstairs. They just dropped the tv off and wanted to leave I said can we try it to make sure it works and they said no. I said well I will not sign off on a delivery if I dont know the tv isn't working. He said dont matter dont need your signature I have pictures showing I delivered it- I am not starting to feel this is how Best Buy teaches their employees that the customer sucks we just want their money so you can treat them however. I asked can he call Best Buy so he did and they person Ryan? Did not know if they were supposed to test out the tv and said he will reach out and call me back. I said to him that during the prep steps it says that "I will supply and enter my WI-Fi network username and password, and sign in information for apps and software because the service provider isn't allowed to know this information" - how can I enter this if I cant test the tv to make sure it works? I ask for a manager and after a few asks Ryan begrudgingly gets me a manager. Belle is a rude and nasty, check out counter hag. The way she treated me was uncalled for from the moment I stepped in. Belles name is wasted on such a classless woman. I walked into Best Buy with a smile and smiled at her asking her where the returns are. she snarked back at me and said something like " im the only one up here and you need to wait for the other customer!". I looked around and did not see any other customers until finally a kid appeared purchasing a soft drink. I think that was some odd way to control me. making me wait for another customer. In my opinion she is extremely racist. the way she treated the other customer with a smile. then as soon as it was my turn she barked at me like a dog. she refused to exchange my item even though I had the receipt and the item does not work. It's been 12 days since I purchased and it's brand new in box. I explained to her that I had called ahead of time and she said "no you didnt. people like you just say they called". I was shocked. so I called her out on her rascist comment and she then cleaned it up saying "I just meant you called the 1800 number. ​I've been shopping with Best Buy since they ran Circuit City out of business . I went in yesterday and bought a phone that the salesperson Jean said had 8 GB of RAM . When I got home it only had six. When I went to return it today they told me they were going to charge me a $45 restocking fee because the box was open . I walked over and talked to the salesman from yesterday, and he apologized and verified everything I said, but the manager still insisted on charging me $45 for restocking! Now the truth is all I had to do was tell them that the phone didn't work and they would waive the restocking fee with no questions asked, but I stupidly told them the truth. That their salesperson had misled me. So I told the manager, Juan, that I would call customer service and let them know about my treatment here and I was sure that they would refund my $45 so he shouldn't even worry about it. At that point he changed his tune and said that he would waive the $45 if I agreed never to shop at his Best Buy ever again. Now I wasn't shouting or making a scene, I'm a 35 year old professional engineer so I know how to deal with confrontation, but it just amazes me when the manager of a brick and mortar store would say something like that. They are on verge of Extinction and yet they still treat their customers like this. Well, not only will I never shop in that store again but I will never shop with Best Buy again. Not even online. And neither will any of any of my kids, their kids, my 6 brothers or sisters or any of my extended family as we have all decided to boycott Best Buy. I went to Best Buy to purchase a laptop. I was in the department for almost 20 minutes before someone finally came and asked if I needed help. By that time, I was deciding between two models. I asked a few questions about the first, and when the young man pulled up the screen for all the "stats" it said the computer was $200 MORE than the price advertised right in front of the computer. He claimed the one on sale was a different model, checked the inventory, and said they had over 60 in stock. OK, If you have over 60 in stock, why dont you put the correct computer out instead of a more expensive model in front of the price point??????? OK, on to the next model I had chosen....went through all the questions on that one and guess what....same thing...the computer that was sitting right in front of the sale sign was NOT the one on sale!!!! Lately, I have been impressed with virtually every Best Buy I have been to. This was my first visit at the Cary store. I had called prior to coming in to ask if the item I wanted was in stock. There was excellent and quick customer service via that phone call. When we arrived the guy helping us ( wish I knew his name) was very helpful and answered all my annoying questions( I ask a lot of questions). Roaming around it appeared thaat the store was clean and adequately staffed. Had my computer taken to geek squad to get fixed because it was randomly turning off while using. Asked them to check my power supply I was told they tested it, after taking it back with no fix. I replaced hundreds of dollars worth of parts come to find out the power supply was faulty. On March 9th I took my daughter to Best Buy to upgrade her Cell phone. We spoke with John, who I've been told is the Verizon Rep for that store. During the conversation we upgraded her to a new phone and traded in her old phone. John showed us a promotional flyer that said we would get $400 for her trade in phone and that we needed to sign in to the Verizon website when we got home to get instructions to send the phone in. Imagine my surprise when Verizon said we were only getting $43 for the trade in, and that we could have just drove across the street to the verizon store to turn it in. It turns out the Verizon rep lied straight to our faces, then had us go home to send in the phone because he knew the Verizon store across the street would tell us he was lying. I took a vacation day today to come into the store and see if this could be made right. I explained to the person at the desk what happened. We called Verizon customer service and they said they could give us a promotional adjustment for $200 because of the trouble but that's it. So I guess that's better than nothing, but the best buy employee still lied to make the sale. When I spoke to the Best Buy manager he just shrugged and said that's business. So apparently standard business for Best Buy is to lie to make a sale, give you fake instructions to try to cover up the lie, then shrug and tell you "that's business" when you call them out on it. The store manager didn't care at all that customers were being lied to, and smirked about it like he was proud there's nothing I can do about it. Oh well, lesson learned. Best I can do is try to make sure new potential customers can see what their business is like and hopefully keep you from getting ripped off too. read more

My iPhone 11's screen cracked. I made an appointment through apple care and was directed to this best buy (geek squad). As soon as I encountered geek squad I felt as though they did not want to offer me any help. My appointment was at 2:00pm. After standing in line for about 10 mins. I was informed they would not be able to do it because it was 2:11pm when I got to the front of the line -__-. I told the man that was unacceptable due to my time waiting in line. Another tech offered to help me. Once he looked at my phone he claimed a minor dent on my phone was against apple care guidelines and would not allow him to replace the screen. Being a longtime iPhone user with phones in FAR worse conditions I knew this was not true so I asked for the manager. He went on to LIE and say if they put the new screen in it would shatter instantly. ALL LIES! He suggested that I pay the $99 fee for a replacement phone through apple care and also forfeit the 2 screen replacements I have with my insurance. I Bought an open box laptop from here online. I leased it with progressive. They couldn't find the laptop and instead of calling and seeing if we could locate a replacement or something different they just cancelled my order because it was almost closing time and didn't want to deal with it! When i noticed it was cancelled around 7:45 I called and the employee told me "sorry I'm about to leave call custom service", We cancelled it, and then hung up. Which in turn completely screwed my lease up and had to jump through hoops to get back. Believe the reviews folks. Maybe everyone boycotting this store will make them re-think there personnel. I wish I could give no stars. I had the most horrific experience with their Customer -NO Service. I spent over $3500.00 in this store, and most items were delivered problem free except for a Dyson vacuum. ($800.00) Over two days I spent hours on the phone, usually waiting for up to a half hour for someone to pick up- or a chat window with excruciating long wait times. On the delivery date, Fedex delivered only the outer shipping sleeve- no box, no vacuum. I finally speak with an agent, who apologizes and tells me a new one will be shipped for delivery the next day. Well- next day comes- no vacuum. Call again, get dropped once after waiting 30 minutes by May, then Michelle get on after 20 minutes and ultimately tells me Best Buy cancelled the replacement to do an investigation. This is laughable- I still have the empty flat sleeve, of which I sent picture to their support email. Their last response was they would refund my money. Great resolution. I guess BB is ok if you take with, but if you want it delivered and if there is a problem, like it wasn't delivered (of course forgot to mention they keep telling me to look all over the porch, but I was standing there when Fedex guy dropped of f the flat piece of cardboard with the shipping label, and a label that said Dyson Vacuum. I plan to visit store and either have them give me the vacuum I paid for or get a refund. Will never shop here again based on this experience. read more

I scheduled an install for my wife's 2006 Saturn for a new stereo. I purchased the dash kit, and stereo - I could not get the wiring harness. According to what I read on the web site, I could schedule the install and Best Buy could handle that part - I had to answer a host of questions about the specific information for the vehicle. When we arrived for the install, first we had to go around front and get someone from the sales floor to walk us back to the install bay. The technician didn't unlock the customer entrance, but it looked like he was busy playing minesweeper or some other game on the computer. When I told him why we were there, the first thing he did was throw a clipboard on the counter and tell me "fill out the 'mumble' parts." Then before I was even done he announced they didn't have the wiring harness and I should have called ahead so I wouldn't waste "his" time with an install they were not prepared to do. When I stated that I provided all the information thru the appointment tool on the web site, he just grunted and turned away. Since it was obvious he wasn't going to do anything, we left. 2 minutes later I got a notification that my appointment for the install had been cancelled. After previous experiences with this store, I knew better than to bother trying to find a manager. I rarely shop here, but it's typically a deal online that I just order and pick up from their online pickup area. I try to browse and look around, but as others have stated it's almost impossible. The salespeople typically know less than you can find online, but they continually CONTINUALLY ask if you need assistance. You say, "Nah, just looking.", it's common to have another salesman ask if you need assistance within 2 minutes later. Beyond aggravating when you just want to browse. Their prices aren't the best unless you already know what you want and can compare online. I would never trust GeekSquad with anything technical, but it's up to others to find out. I would say in general, "Good to browse and get a better idea of the expensive product you may buy." However, too many people working the floor at all times and invasive. Not just at this location but many across the US. Just prepare yourself as you walk in. read more

Best Buy is hit or miss from my experience. What you get can sometimes have a LOT to do with the employee you are working with that day. I have had some experiences when everything went perfect, and others when everything went wrong. At this time there really is nowhere else that compares to what Best Buy does have to offer in a store front for general consumer electronics. I typically ride by with my son once or twice a month just to see what is new. I did buy my last 2 iPads from here as I found they were easier to find in stock here than at the apple store. We ended up talking to a supervisor who, though he was a Slick Willie type of salesperson, wasn't that bad. My son really like a head unit he saw so, after looking it over on the web when I returned home, decided to just go ahead and get it as well as the recommended 5x7 speakers. I tried to order the items and installation online but the site wouldn't let me schedule installation for the speakers in the 6x8 slots in the truck. All 5x7 speakers that I've ever seen come with adaptors for 6x8 slots. I called customer service and she wouldn't let me schedule either. I asked to speak to an installer and she refused, saying he wouldn't schedule either. I finally told her to cancel the order out of frustration and will do what I had originally planned and go to a mobile audio specialist. Wish I could give negative stars. Had the worst experience during the most recent Halo Series X launch night. Arrived 6pm the night before and camped out in 28F to reserve a place in line to get the new incredibly hard to get Halo Infinite Collectors Xbox. After a long night they had everyone start packing up and getting ready for release at 8am. Then about 40 people in a group showed up at 7am and forced their way to the front of the line threatening anyone who complained of them cutting the line with handguns. Serious issues and safety concern! After bullying and cutting line and stealing the coveted Xbox they turned around in the parking lot and started trying to resell them for double the price to people who had waited in line properly all night. This is heinous and outrageous that scalpers are even showing up in person at events now and stealing Xbox's through threats and fear-mongering. The local police and Best Buy did nothing and said it was not their problem to enforce the camp out line as long as no one actually got hurt or shot. I am so hurt and upset and mad at people getting away with this and hope something changes to make bullying and scalping illegal! Ok I have to stop there... Best Buy, please take this seriously and consider providing security or regulating this somehow to provide a good experience. read more

The installation was free. 3 months later the stove caught on fire and burnt the wall due to the installers installing the stove wrong.And guess what they are refusing to replace the stove and refuse to give us a refund.
