There was flavored water to sip on while we waited for the class to start. The whole cooking experience was shared between 4 different people. The table is kind of small for us to work on especially with how many people attended the class. The kitchen had a tv to see what was going on but for some reason it wasn't facing the chef so it was pretty useless. The class has helpers to the chef which was very useful. There was someone to helped with cleaning dishes, someone to help us when we couldn't figure out what to do or if we had questions, and someone who helped create the prep of ingredients. Our teacher was nice but it felt like we rushed through cooking the dish. The important stuff was pre prepared which was kind of a bummer. Like the dough for the dumplings was kneaded already and the filling for the soup dumplings were premade. I was also kind of bummed to know that it's super hard to make the soup dumpling filling. We also made some stir-fry noodles and green beans. It was interesting to learn how green beans are prepared to be so crisp via blanching in oil.

Our chef made sure that we understood his instructions to prepare the meal. He emphasized the importance of "mise en place" which means having everything prepared in advance. Our meal was Seared Scallops with Champagne Beurre Blanc, Saffron-Scented Risotto with Peas and Prosciutto, and Chocolate Souffle with Salted Caramel Sauce. We started with making the Risotto. Each couple was matched with another couple and took turns with the preparation. There was a 10 minute break to give the class participants the time to walk around the shop. We finished the risotto and made the scallops. The souffle was the only portion of the meal that the students did not prepare. We enjoyed the experience and decided to take another class.

While finding an orange vested helped at home depot is becoming akin to finding the lost grail the staff here are helpful, easy to find and available all of which makes such trips so much easier. It does not have a big garden center for plants and the like but it is a hardware store that is easy to reach, well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable friendly people, do you really need much more?

It is a huge, warehouse-style store with rack after rack of clothing, including items that may have minor damage, overstock, or extra inventory from brands like Free People, Urban Outfitters, and a variety of others. It is mostly women's clothing, but there is also a small section for men so they won't feel left out. My husband even found a great pair of shoes! There was a small selection of women's shoes too. Their inventory changes by the day. I walked out with shirts, dresses, a shacket and all kinds of items ranging from $10 to &15 to $25, and the most expensive piece I bought was a dress for $50. All in, I estimate I got close to $1,000 worth of merchandise for just $162. That is unreal. This place has quickly become my favorite store, and I will absolutely be making the drive back many more times. If you have not been yet, do yourself a favor and go!
