We were seated immediately, even if we were early for our reservation and our very friendly and helpful server, Jaslyn, was awesome! She suggested to start off with a delicious strawberry margarita and it was a home run! Perfectly blended garnished with both a lemon and a lime slice. We ordered the Prejean's seafood platter, which hit all the marks. Catfish filet, oysters, crawfish, alligator, shrimp, hush puppies and fries. Everything was lightly battered and not the least oily. We also had to try the chicken, andouille sausage gumbo and the crab cake vermilion which were so delicious! But, the highlight was our extraordinary server, Jaslyn! The card is used to indicate type of noodles, either ''Udon" or Italian, as desired, at the time of beverage ordering. Then one goes through a buffet-style bar to select their desired ingredients from an extensive array of raw seafood, fowl, meats, veggies, spices, etc. Those are then given to a cook, diners are re-seated, and in about 5 minutes waitstaff serve the concoction. The mix is about as oily as regular Oriental restaurant fair, but w/o massive amounts of sugar, salt, or MSG. One can add additional spices as desired, initially, or at the table. It was very tasty and filing. This is not "diet food" & the amount served is tres-grand, so you'll most likely need a doggie box. For us elders, each serving makes some 3 or 4 meals. This is not a "cheap lunch", but one does get full value. A major advantage is that everyone gets to choose everything they are to eat. Do not discount that feature, it is great. The shrimp and fish were both fried just right -- crispy, not greasy, and full of flavor. The homemade tartar sauce was the real standout.
