Two star review as the hostess and waitress were super. The kitchen needs help. Should get zero stars! Restaurant was half full, waited for 40 minutes for food to arrive on a cold plate with cold eggs , cold hash browns, yesterday's old hard biscuit, everything cold. Kitchen staff is uneducated as to food preparation! Sent food back and left. Won't return or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This place was amazing! I had Kelly as my server, and she made the experience even better! Everything was great, but two things really stood out: the toast and the salsa were both delicious! We will definitely be back!

Tuna salad plate and the chicken fried steak (mashed potatoes and fries)

We had a great lunch at Kitchens! My friend and I got the best of both worlds by agreeing to share 2 different entrees - the chicken fried steak and the tuna salad plate - comfort food and a healthier option. The delicious chicken fried steak was huge and had a crispy exterior, and we got homemade mashed potatoes and FRESH CUT fries!! The tuna salad was perfect with the slight sweetness from sweet pickles, and came on a bed of fresh lettuce with fruit. It was all so tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Alyssa sat us to a table quickly, and Kelly was a great server. I could tell they enjoy their jobs and I am sure regular customers appreciate them!! The dining area was very cute - perfect for a main street in a quaint town - and clean. We were told about renovations happening to the "hardware" side, and I can't wait to return for another amazing lunch (or maybe breakfast!!), and to see the other side.

My wife had the half breakfast which was an egg, ham, grits, a biscuit and country gravy which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the small egg and bacon breakfast burrito and a short stack with which I was happy. The young lady who served us was attentive and very friendly. The ambience is one found in small towns throughout Texas, very country, laid-back and inviting. You can easily imagine Slim Pickens and John Wayne walking in and ordering coffee while shaking the dust off of their Stetsons. After breakfast you could walk into the next room and shoot a game of pool. That kind of place.

please be kind of times we are short started thank you

Kitchen's is kitsch! They have a couple big tables on the hardware side , a main serving area, and small patio. The hardware side of the establishment is more of a museum than a retail establishment but everything is for sale. You can order cooked to order breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is experienced and great too!

Really good French Toast breakfast. Service was great. Migas was not traditional, but really good flavor.

This was the driest hamburger I've ever had - so bad that I could only eat half. The restaurant has friendly smiling servers, a large dining area and looks to have a couple of smaller rooms that would work for parties. DH ordered a burger (his go-to) and I decided on the catfish dinner with a half order of mushrooms to start. Well, as expected, the salad came out quickly but everything else followed so fast I hardly had a chance to dress the salad! The mushrooms were perfect and the ranch accompaniment tasted homemade. The potato was hot, fluffy and the fitting conduit for all the butter I heaped on. The star of the show was the catfish though. Four pieces was certainly too much and I ended up taking the excess home, but it's hard to say a mistake was made because the fish was fresh, steaming hot and sweet. Quite possibly the best I've eaten in the past 10 years. The tartar sauce was a bit heavy and I didn't care for the hush puppies at all, but those demerits aren't enough to affect the star power of the meal. Make your way over to Petty's and get yourself some.

I had the Texas Cubano sandwich and it's outstanding. It was a blend of brisket and Cuban sandwich with bacon. It came with very good fried okra. Wife had the Junior TMX burger and it was HUGE ! She was even asked by the staff how she wanted it cooked - they followed it and it was cooked to perfection. It too, came with fried okra. We both had endless sweet tea. Adult beverages and a very nice bar are available for those who partake. Karaoke weekdays and local live Texas Music artists on the weekends for $5 cover charge. The restaurant is part of Pistol Annie's shop - Miranda Lambert's winery and shop. The shop closed at 6pm though so stop here and have lunch or dinner at the adjoining restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
