They have a lavender oat latte and it is honestly the best latte I have ever tasted. Probably why most people are interested on going are the cats. The cats are in a separate room from the room where you order your drinks. While they do provide walk ins if not at max capacity, your best bet is to make a reservation. Especially if it is a weekend, your best bet for a walk in opportunity is a weekday when it is less busy. When it comes to how the cats are treated. They are under very nice living conditions. The cats are not forced to interact with the humans, because kitty bubble provides a separate room with cat door. So the cats can disappear into them if they do not want to get involved with humans. You are also able to adopt a cat at kitty bubble. Overall it is a great facilities with great drinks. And great staff who you can tell cares about these cats. Definitely recommend. read more

Such a fun place! As other reviews have mentioned, the atmosphere in the cat room is very calm and quiet. If you know this going in, you'll enjoy it much more. The cats didn't want to play (though it was late afternoon, so perhaps they were just tired) but LOOOOOVED to be pet. The staff keep to the appointment schedule, so be sure to arrive on time or you'll miss out on part of your time. Ordered and waited 15 minutes to then be notified they didn't have enough boba for our drinks. Employees Served several people before us that appeared to get boba anyway. Super adorable idea to combine two of life's best things: cats and boba. Starting with the cats: they partner with Colony Cats to adopt out all these gorgeous babies so honestly what is there not to love about this?? You do need to make reservations to play with the cats before you arrive so make sure you do that! Would recommend evenings more than afternoons because most of these kitties were napping hard when we arrived and we wanted to be respectful. Also, their boba was SO CUTE. Not sure how I lost the pictures but the place is literally cat themed all over with paw prints and the like, and the actual boba cups have cat ears on them! I got the Pink Toe Beans (which was a fancy fresh strawberry milk) that was amazing! Would say $7 is a bit steep for strawberry milk but honestly worth given Dexter the most amazing cat in the world giving me a good smooch for the road at the end of our visit. Reservations are a must! While not necessarily required, the spots fill up quickly - it took us a few weeks to find a day that had 3 spots open for us. It was easy to make reservations online. Both cafe and kitty sides were clean and neat. Staff was friendly and helpful. I especially like the rules regarding cat interations - no picking them up and no chasing or disturbing them if they're high up. I can tell these cats are well-cared for. My kids enjoyed their time with the kitties as well as the bubbly drinks and macarons we ordered. The cute cat themed cups were a nice touch. A wonderful place to visit! read more

I had made reservations for my daughter and I to go to the café on a Sunday. On the way there we were in a car accident and unable to keep our appointment. I tried desperately online to find a phone number for the facility but there is none. Finally after dealing with the insurance I emailed them letting them know the situation and even brought a copy of the police report to their café but they refused to allow us to move our reservation because I did not contact them prior to when our reservation was supposed to be. This cozy, welcoming place is a little oasis of happiness in the world! The people are welcoming, the (adoptable!) cats are adorable and entertaining, the drinks are delicious, the decor is so cute you feel like you're on the set of a movie or something. Everything is perfect and cheerful. They just opened but I just know they will be successful and help find some kitties their furever homes. First time there. Really aggressive staff. Other than that. Great. Drinks, great. But I will never come back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're expecting a nice warm welcoming experience like you would in Japan, you're in the completely wrong place. Very strange. They treated our well behaved kids like little terrorists the second we walked in. Looking through the window to the people already in the cat area my husband and I both noticed everyone looked very somber. No smiles or joy. They ask for quiet but it's more like complete silence. So any totally normal noise made by our kids made the girl in charge jump out of her skin. An older woman came in and reprimanded me very seriously about my youngest son "running." I have very high expectations for my kids and their behavior...seems they just shouldn't allow kids. The people who work here might be cat people but they don't seem to understand or enjoy humans... TL; DR: A weird experience, don't try to book last minute, you will be at fault if you don't read all of the policies first, no refunds, and if you want to go with a toddler, TWO adults are required PER TODDLER though it doesn't say this anywhere I could find. This is a review for the communication, customer service, and efficacy of the website system on our first attempted visit here. We tried to get a last minute reservation to bring a toddler, and we were able to sign up and pay and enter everyone's names on the website at around 2:25 for a 2:30-3:00 visit. When we arrived around 2:33, they said that we had only paid for one person, and couldn't bring everyone in. Apparently it's $10 per person not $10 for the whole group, and they didn't have any more spots. I felt it was kind of confusing because not all cat cafes charge so much, but granted we were in a rush. That's fine, we will pay more. No, only one slot open. Ok, can we have a refund? No, since it was three minutes into the time slot when we arrived we had used up the time. Ok, can we come another time? No. Even then, ok maybe this is my fault for not having time to read through the entire website first, maybe my fault for not knowing their pricing ahead of time, etc. Pretty different from most businesses, but ok fine. But the person at the counter kept suggesting that I go in by myself, I guess while my toddler just watches me through the little window and cries? It was insensitive at best. Also, he told us that even if there were two spots we couldn't bring the baby because they require two adults per child for "little ones" even though I didn't see that posted anywhere. Overall definitely left a bad taste, not great service or communication and not great policies and no clarity on the website that even though you're entering all of these names, none of these people can come with you. The reason we couldn't get a refund was that we had used up a spot that someone else hypothetically could have used, but he told us in person that it was only open because there had been a last minute cancellation- so they really hadn't lost any opportunity. Weird experience. But the place seemed clean and the cats looked happy (through the window) so I hope to give it another chance. At $30 for half an hour for a family of three, I sure hope it's a better experience next time. read more

We visited for the first time today and it was great. I asked for recommendations for bubble drinks and was promptly given multiple choices. I only wish I knew their name so I could put it here. Service was speedy and they made sure we knew which drink was which before taking them. I had a reservation at 1 for an hour in the cat area. We were checked in promptly and the rules were explained very well to our 6 year old. The cat area was amazing. It's clean, well decorated, the cats all seemed happy with the space, and we kept finding cats in hidden places as we walked around. It's nice that the cats are given areas out of sight and up high to get away when needed. I don't know the name of the person with us in the room but they explained everything well and did a great job watching, stepping in to minimize 2 cats from escalating was appreciated. We all really enjoyed our time there and even the "reprimands" of kids who didn't listen, climbing up on things, were nice. 10/10, highly recommend. read more

The employees were very rude in my opinion. We first walked in there and asked about the place and how to meet the cats and the women working was extremely rude. I came back after I made a reservation just to play with some cats since I am very much an animal lover. Loved playing with them but the cats were very stressed out and really just didn't want to be bothered. I will not be coming back due to the rude employees and how badly the cats moods were. Seems to completely hate kids. My kids were well versed in the rules before we went but they could do no right. My daughter jogged for a minute and she got in trouble. I get it, no running. I reminded her. Then she lifted a cat toy off the ground for a second while the cat was playing with it and got in trouble. She didn't even have time to correct herself before the miserable women, who didn't smile once or introduce herself or welcome us to the place, came over and said something. Then my son moved a small flower cat scratching post to the other side near one of the cats and got talked to. That isn't a rule. Then he touched another cat scratch post with no cat around and got in trouble. Then my daughter's friend hopped in place once and got a warning for running. It was ridiculous. They clearly don't want kids there. We were bullied the entire time and my kids could do nothing right. they were quiet, calm and gentle with the cats the entire time. What a terrible business. If you don't want kids there just say no kids instead of mistreating my family on my daughter's birthday. Don't bother with the business. It's a completely waste of money if you have kids. We were bullied and mistreated. $100 to be bullied on my daughter's birthday is garbage. read more

The place is adorable but the bubbles were not made well. The whole establishment is based on having bubble tea and it's very weird to me that they don't make their bubbles right. They were hard, not chewy. I force myself to still eat them because I paid so much for the drink. I don't know if it was just that batch, but I never went back. It is true what the others are saying about the hating on well behaved children. Two miserable "Cat lady Karen's" were in the cat area the whole time hovering and scolding our child every slight move. Felt miserable being in their presence. Very bad vibrations these two gave off. Sucked all positive energy out of the room. They do not fit in with the really cute atmosphere at all. Will never ever recommend or go back. I am a lover of cat cafes and visit them whenever i travel to other cities. They are usually so much fun and a good experience. They are not run like this elsewhere. There are supposed to be adoptable cats from local shelters, not cats that cannot tolerate a child lifting a feather toy more than an inch off the ground. It is a shame that Eat,Purr,Love on Indianola is no longer open. They were the best and placed hundreds of cats with their happy new owners! I did not get a chance to go inside the cat play area. I had an appointment but I could not make the time I had scheduled since I had an emergency. I tried to call 3 hours before my appointment but could not find a phone number. They do not have a phone number but the website said walk-ins are welcomed. I assumed I could just walk in and re-schedule the appointment 2 hours after my original appointment time. When I came in,they said they could not refund me or even let me reschedule since I was passed the appointment time. They said I should have emailed them but I did not think of emailing them. I contacted the customer service email and they did not care. I cannot say anything about their drinks or their cat play area but they are not accommodating so be aware. I was just trying to cheer up my friend by bringing her there but in the end I lost money and my friend didn't get to be cheered up by kittens. read more
