Our softball team (and families) all came here after a full day of games. Nearly 40 people! We took over the back room and the kids mainly played on the sand volleyball court. I do not recommend this eatery, I'm not sure how this place has 4 1/2 stars. The service was terrible. The servers were very dry and unfriendly. They brought your food but no silverware or condiments,(be prepared to get it yourself). Be prepared to wait no less than 30 minutes for you mediocre and very bland meal. The "prime rib" omelette was mostly gristle, the veggies were not cooked as described on the menu. The biscuits were more like flat cakes, and the sausage gravy was clumpy and tasteless. When we go to Hastings to visit relatives, we usually go to Kitty's as they have the best chicken plus Pizza, hamburgers and everything on the menu. Their brunch on Sunday is very good. When we were in town from Texas on Thursday, April 30th my wife and I had the chicken. My favorite place to eat chicken. On Saturday I ordered takeout for my wife of Margherita pizza. She said it was the best she has had. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere with their racing theme is unique. Of course they have any alcoholic drinks you would want. Came here with some coworkers. This place has specials every day which is a plus for me. Todays was Chefs special which was the Broasted chicken special that came with 2 pieces of chicken, corn , a dinner roll and mashed potatoes with gravy. I have to say that this chicken has to be one of the top meals I have had. The chicken was delicious. The sides were also very good. Best steak I've had in a very long time and the staff were so welcoming and friendly.

This place is pretty cool when you walk in They have a bar in the front and in the back. They also have a volleyball court which I think was pretty fun. The wings are really good. Would recommend that and the homemade chips. I didn't like the steak very much is was lacking in seasoning. The side salad and garlic toast were also good. In town for travel baseball. Really really good burgers. Average run of the mill wings. Decent portion of wings Service was on point. Not to over bearing. Came by and checked on us at the right times. Kid had f150 (single burger)burger was cooked perfect I had f250 (double burger) also cooked perfect juicy bun was great. Other kid has wings Basic bar wings. But the 1lb portion made up for it. Also the macaroni salad was different.....different in a good way. Was like a coleslaw with pasta. Enjoyed it. This is a very reliable place. There are several pizza options and it comes out tasting very good. Then there are some chicken options that you can't go wrong with, whether you get a chicken sandwich or just a 2-3 piece dinner. I've been here several times with other people and I have never heard a complaint from anyone. The inside is unique with racing decor that gives the place some funk and the bathroom even follows suit. The waitstaff is great and makes me feel welcomed. We did the brisket pizza & pepperoni pizza. Everyone loved it - no slices remaining. Clean inside. Bathroom is a little small but functional. I can't find anything negative/critical to say. I was here once with some friends, one who is from Hastings and another from Lincoln. The atmosphere is really cute and you could see it was a local favorite as it was packed with middle school kids and their families. I'm assuming it was after a sporting event. We sat at the bar and the owner chatted up my friend from Hastings and it was apparent he'd been in the business for some time and knew most customers personally. We had margaritas from a brightly colored machine which was kind of fun, but they were just ok. I had a hard time ordering anything without gluten and they weren't too aware of what the allergy involved. I figured steak was the safest thing on the menu along with some vegetables, the guy from Lincoln had the same. I think my friend from Hastings ordered fried shrimp or coconut shrimp which had always been her favorite but unfortunately I couldn't try them. The vegetable side was alright but the steak was pretty bad. Not at all prepared to the right temperature, I ate it anyway. I had to remove a lot of fat and even though everything should have been gluten free I didn't feel well the rest of the night and interestingly neither did our other friend from Lincoln who also had the steak but is not allergic to gluten. Maybe just something with the preparation. Service was friendly, portions were good, and prices seemed pretty reasonable. I may have just had bad luck with the food or maybe their best items are unfortunately things I'm allergic to, but it wasn't my fav place in Hastings. read more

Driving through Hastings my wife and I were looking for some dinner and ended up at Kitty's because of the great reviews on Yelp. We were very glad we did. I had the sausage and red pepper pizza and my wife red had the chef salad with chicken. Both were excellent. The pizza was actually very much like pizza I've had in Italy and my favorite Italian restaurant in Paris France, of all places. I would definitely eat there again! We were at the nearby Motorpark Hastings for a race this past weekend and my husband insisted that we eat at Kitty's where he has eaten on previous race weekends. I was a skeptic because Hastings is a pretty small town and Kitty's is somewhat removed from downtown proper - but I am a convert! The food was great - we all got pizza (wood-fired) and it was delicious. My husband and mother-in-law got the white pizza with shrimp and I went with the classic pepperoni. They split an order of "broasted" wings which they loved, and my son got mac-and-cheese wedges and fries, with a side of cottage cheese, all of which he loved. I was driving through Nebraska and didn't want to stop at a random chain along the highway; I much prefer to go through small towns and get food at local restaurants. I got off in Hastings due to the lure of the Kool-Aid Man, and I I'm glad I found Kitty's through Yelp when I decided to stay for dinner. I saw the reviews of the buffalo wings, which made me steer my car right here, and they didn't disappoint - especially since I happened to roll in on a wings special night. The wings were some of the best I've ever had (I got the mild BBQ sauce) and the homemade potato chips were also delicious. There were only six taps, but plenty of bottle options for beers. Not only was the food great and quick, but the bartender, servers, and owner were all extremely nice. I stayed longer than I had planned just because I was enjoying the conversation. Friendly locals who don't mind me asking 1,000 questions? I'm in. I just wish I didn't have to be on the road because I would've loved to be there at night and have a few beers. The vibe is fun, too. It's all car/roadhouse themed, down to the license plates on the wall and gas station pump holding the beer behind the counter. The place is super clean and has ample parking. Great atmosphere, really enjoyed the pizza. They have 7 inch pizzas for personal eating and larger pizzas for groups. They think of a lot of details, for example, pizza is brought out to you on a plate that is on top of a small automobile tire. As themed restaurants go this was very well done. The service was also excellent, the servers seem to work as a team -- I don't think my drink ever got less than half full before somebody with a picture of water breezed by and filled it up.
