The food arrived cold and we had to send it back. Our latte arrived with a hair on it. We sent it back and they never brought a new one. Food was very meh and quite pricey.i

This place has a decent selection of bagels and other items, with some bagel varieties you don't find elsewhere. However, labelling of the bagels is non-existent, and that of other baked goods is barely better. Service is bad too - the staff are unable and/or unwilling to explain what different types of bagels are available. Nutella Danish was good - flaky with a generous portion of Nutella, albeit a bit dry for a Danish. Seeded (sesame + poppy) and fennel bagels were ok.

Best pumpernickel bagels out there! Crispy and crunchy on the outside, yet dense, pillowy, soft and chewy on the inside. Fast friendly service at the 1027 Steeles Ave west location just west of Bathurst in a little plaza. Free parking.

This is for the store portion. Can in here to grab a bagel bite. Got the everything bagel with cream cheese, cucumbers and lox. Bagel was great but I got it toasted and unfortunately I think it over toasted because it was way too hard. The cream cheese & lox was on point though. We also grabbed a coffee and a chocolate croissant like bakery to go (I forgot what it was called but it bad the most amazing real chocolate chips to it!)

Kiva's Bagel Bakery and Restaurant really have 2 set of doors... one leading to the bakery itself... the other to the restaurant itself. I am surprise when this location suppose to be new... since the deco is plain and feels dated. I would just suggest to just get the bagel and run and go home and do whatever with it... I was in shock when my Pumpernickel Bagel toasted with cream cheese cost $4.99!! While a twisted bagel cost $1.... To be fair, the bagel tasted mighty good!! just crispy outside and chewy inside... and loaded with really light cream cheese. Carb Heaven!! The sweet selections are really interesting too... Alfajores looks tempting and delicious and mighty sugar which I will try it next time when I visit!!

Ok so this place is amazing! Was taking a friend to the doctors in the area and found this little gem. Authentic Jewish bagels hand rolled and then KETTLE boiled! The right way, no additives or preservatives, nothing else, all natural! To go along with that they have gluten free bagels! And a tonne of sugar free sweets for the diabetic in your family or if you just want to cut back on the sugar. They make everything in house and haven't changed their recipes according to the owner since they first opened in 1979! There was a line up out the door for the restaurant come lunch time and everyone seated seemed to have huge portions. I'd say if you're in the area give this place a try.

Kiva's is a family run breakfast joint that is an institution in Thornhill. For those who know "What a Bagel", it's more or less a smaller competitor. They bake freak bagels and desserts and have a nice restaurant portion with ample seating - but be careful, there are line ups on the weekends. Their menu is robust offering lots of variety to choose from. Their cream cheese is amazing, eggs perfectly cooked on each occasion, bagels that are perfectly cooked. Service is spot on and the owner Steve - he's a great guy. All in all a wonderful experience and meal. I personally enjoy their platter which is served with a bagel (but I'd upgrade to the twister), egg salad, and some cucumbers, tomato and onions. You can add the lox as well which is fresh and delicious. Definitely a great spot to enjoy a decent breakfast!

We came here at around 1 o'clock on a Saturday and there was a short lineup with the queue to order moving pretty swiftly. They had a small insulated canteen with cups where you can get water. The actual weight for the bagel sandwiches took a long time. We luckily got a spot on the patio and waited for our bagels there. The girl shouts out the orders name inside and if no one's in there, she goes out to the patio to bring it out. It was a really good bagel. I got the bodega and added bacon and it was nice and salty with some cheese and some sauce and on the weekends they have their za'atar bagels so I got it on that and it was delicious. I would come back again if it weren't so far from me.

I ended up with the Bodega bagel which had a variety of fillings that had the perfect mixture of creaminess and savory. The sauce in it was sooo delicious. My friend got the egg and cheese breakfast bagel and decided to add bacon to it, and it's perfect if you want something simple but filling! The place was poppin on a Sunday morning on top of the workers needing to make more bagels and cook the fillings so we waited about 35 minutes for our order. There were a handful of coffee shops nearby, so we decided to walk around and grab a cup of coffee while we waited. There were only bar seats that had about 6 chairs in total, so be prepared to snag a seat when you can to eat your bagel right away.

Even the Toronto Police were in there today buying specialty bagels. Who knew that sourdough bagels were a thing?! There was a sign that said it has been serving for 40 years. This was nearby so we went in as hubby was hungry. He ordered the fish & chips. I had just a small order of fries to snack on. The food was okay. It was like eating at a diner. Nothing upset my stomach at least, so this place passed that test. LOL. The fries were pretty ordinary. They were the kind of fries you get at a diner that were bulk bought & frozen. They weren't even warm when I got them. But they were unsalted which I liked because I could salt to my taste. Hubby's fish was a huge piece & he had fries also. He said it was ok. Our waitress was an elderly lady. She was nice pleasant & patient with us when hubby took his time deciding what to get. The service was very relaxed. There weren't too many customers in the eating area. The space is larger than it first appears because the bakery at the front creates a bottleneck. After our meal we paid & I went to use the bathrooms which are downstairs. The ladies bathroom is really dated too. But I will say everything was very clean. We got some rogalach & sugar free cookies from the bakery. We tried the sugar free cookies & they were dry as heck & flavourless. The rogalach was okay but pricey. This place wouldn't be my choice to eat at again, but at least their food was decent & the service was nice.

And The tuna is not the best as well. I wished they used solid white tuna but obviously it is a cheaper tuna product. They have been here a while though so they must be doing something right I try to stay away but come back every few months to torture myself. Do I recommended? Hard to say. If you want a below average bagel, maybe some low quality tuna or horrendous service? Then be my guest. I'll still get my bagels from Bagel World or Kiva's They are much better products than here.

Location: Bayview North of Steele's in the Longos plaza Parking; There's a lot of free parking. It's pretty busy because the longos and it's near a Ramona's kitchen. But there's always parking. The place,: It's tiny when you first walk in you go to the spot where all the bagels are and you pick them using tongs into a bag is pretty tight in that area and you go around to where they bring out the bagels and then around where they're sweet treats and a counter. At this counter if you grab a bagel you can give it to them and get a sandwich made out of it my favorite is a toasted chicken salad no vegetables. You pay extra for vegetables and I'm too cheap to pay like a dollar for some cucumber. They have all different kinds of bagels the most popular is the rainbow bagel because more often than not it is low or not there. But don't fret because they're constantly making bagels all day and chances are there's something that's still warm to the touch because they've just brought it out! You also have some cooked food such as falafel and other things I've never ordered it but I know people that haven't said that they really like it. I am sticking to my chicken salad bagel. I think the chicken salad is delicious. I do notice that a lot of people get the egg salad and my friend swears by the smoke salmon and cream cheese. It is seriously tiny so the seating situation is zero but people don't realize, or some people don't realize, that that's actually a little mall and if you exit the store on the side you come upon a seating area where there's about 20 seats.. I've never not had a seat. I would like a lot? Yes of course I've been back many times this is one of my favorite bagel places. And let me say it again because I don't think the million other times I said it was enough, I love their chicken salad sandwiches.
